    Save yourself some time by pre stripping cable, pop some heat shrink on before connectors are added, stock the harness so it can be installed on next maintainance pm.add a rubber baind about 5 inches down on install for harness tension to prevent future issues Excellent work, GREAT thought process concerning customer. Good job sir!

    Do you think are just the bad batteries or there is a circuit en between the batteries can cause this behavor turns on beeps, but does not lift and does not move thanks

    We have a Toyota that I have had to do that repair to 2x in probably 10 years. Do you like those low heat solder connections? I just started using them and really like them so far I just need to get more sizes.

      @theforkliftguy  Před 2 měsíci

      Off the top of my head I don’t know what code 82 is. I would definitely check batteries first and load test them.

      Sorry for the late response man. Yeah definitely needs new batteries. Are the batteries swollen? Do they have water in them? How old are they?

      Typically the number 1 and then the green button.

    Nice work. How did you get the tiller arm to sit better? I saw right before the video ended it was hitting the cover and when the video ended it was sitting straight

    • @theforkliftguy
      @theforkliftguy  Před 8 měsíci +1

      I accidentally edited it out, but there’s a “bump” stop piece that goes on top where the tiller pivots, that prevents the tiller arm from hitting the cover. If that makes sense. If you watch in the beginning of the video, it sits on top of the tiller position sensor. Like a cover.

    How do you feel about sealed lead acid batteries for an electric walkie? Better than wet cell batteries?

    • @theforkliftguy
      @theforkliftguy  Před 6 měsíci

      Yes, sealed is better. A lot more expensive but better. No maintenance required for the batteries.

    Quick question as an independent, Were you able to get a TVH account and if so how hard was it?

    • @theforkliftguy
      @theforkliftguy  Před 8 měsíci +1

      I don’t have an account just yet. I’m still working on it. They require a brick and motor location and it can’t be residential. It’s not easy but I think we will be getting it here pretty soon.

    • @d-port9020
      @d-port9020 Před 5 měsíci

      Why do the require a brick and mortar location. Is just for mailing purposes? Would a p.o. Box count as brick and mortar then? Just asking becuase i know alot of small businesses use p.o. Boxs specifically they dont want to use their residential address

    • @Daniel-np8zo
      @Daniel-np8zo Před 5 měsíci

      @@d-port9020 think it has to do with signage and since alot of forklift parts are heavy and sometime requires freight... they probably want to make sure you're able to unload with a forklift...

    What was your total labor time and parts cost?

    • @theforkliftguy
      @theforkliftguy  Před 8 měsíci

      Total labor time was 2 hours + service call charge. I only charge the customer for a miscellaneous electric for patching up the harness. No other parts were used.
