    Instead of beating on the axle hub, Yale/Hyster has spots were you can run the bolts into to pull the axle hubs out.

    Instead of hammering the axle out there are two threaded holes offset to allow bolts to push the cover out. It's a lot easier.

    Good stuff man, been watching these as I’m starting as a Crown tech in the next month. My only recommendation is to wear just anything to cover your nose and mouth when dealing with brake dust. I’ve seen what that stuff looks like under a microscope, and I don’t mess with it. I use a 3M respirator rated for Asbestos handlers.

    Is it worth it getting into forklifts? How much do y’all make yearly? I want to leave construction and small engine repairs. I don’t want to go back to automotive.

    • @theforkliftguy
      @theforkliftguy  Před 13 dny

      @@ericmorales3146 I truly mean this, it’s the best industry to be in. It’s the perfect in between, automotive and construction/heavy equipment. I think you’ll enjoy it, it’s not always fun but it’s very rewarding. You earn depending on experience, proficiency, and dependability. Be dependable, don’t be afraid to go to a difficult service call, and always be willing to learn.

      Very good point. I use that as well with other components, but never on axles. I’ll give that a try next time. Do you use the loctite brand or a different brand?

    Those axles have two threaded holes that you can run the same bolts into to pull the axle right out. Also, when the brakes can be "pumped up" that usually indicates air in the system and/or the shoes need adjusting out.

      @theforkliftguy  Před 3 měsíci
