I am dropping this comment just to say how amazing the Morgonaut is! We just tried to build our first Ryzen-based Hackintosh and I must admit it, it wasn't easy and many (mostly stupid) problems occurred, due to our scarce knowledge on the matter, but thanks to her continuous support we finally made it! Now we have a very powerful PC with Mojave installed, perfectly running and extremely fast! I hope she will get much more credit for the great work she did for people who are not that experienced! A very big thank you for all!

@morgonaut do you still recommend using Intel chip for a more stable system using mac OS? Instead of Ryzen. Sure. It’s cheaper. But can some people please chime in with your experience using the rzyen 3700 instead of build used in the Mac Pro killer. Thanx
Tony Fuego Yes because new MacOS versions can be unstable and some apps or features might not work properly. You can always make a VM and passthrough a GPU , but you will loose couple of CPU threads/cores and probably some ram.
@@Anonymous-sq3ek thanx for the insight. After adding up the Intel build things really got a bit above budget.. .. Also that Radeon card is now Dead.. Can't even buy it new anywhere.. I decided to go with the Ryzen build 3700X and the Vega 56 Card... I've been on Sierra and High Sierra for years and its been great. Im pretty positive Logic X.. Reason, Affinity and Ableton will still be good on Mohave for for a few years.. I never update to the latest... I'll probably use the dual boot.. and Edit color in Davinci Resolve on the Windows side. and Everything else on the apple side.. Just updated to her personal help plan so i can get the EFI files.. The cpu is already built.. Just waiting on the files so i can build this thing and hope everything goes without a hitch..

You have made this so easy, If I had this particular system, I would be building my own Hackintosh right now! I’ve been seeing your videos pop up as I have started the process of breathing new life into my 2009 Mac Pro quad core machine. While it now runs Mojave, the performance needs some tweaking and to me it is crazy what I’ve been seeing the dual tray CPUs for. I built a Threadripper (2950x) system on a MSI x399 Creation board and it worked fine until I swapped in a 5700XT for the Vega 64 (want to use it in the Mac Pro) and it now crashes with video driver errors. After seeing this video, I’m hopeful of getting this system setup as a Hackintosh one day.

Hi Teresa. First of, amazing video, with so much information running arround it´s really awsome when someone comes along with simple and clear instructions. I'm in the process of building a new pc to run Virtual intruments live.I have already worked with both windows and Osx platform but always on intel chips. I would realy love to try out Amd 3700x hackintosh to run vst's on Mainstage, would you advise on building on Amd for this purpose or staying on Intel?? It's important to clarify that i run plugins that are huge Cpu hogs like Omnisphere. Thank you.

I got 3 questions regarding this video:
1. will it be possible to update the bios to newer versions after the installation of macos without losing the ability to use my macos?
2. will this tutorial also work with catalina?
3. is it possible to use this efi files for a dual boot system with macos and win10?
I can answer number 3: for dual boot you need (as far as i know) just another ssd or hdd for dual boot

Depending on how budget the 2000 and 1000 series ryzen are compatible along with a cheap GPU like rx560 or even cheap a gt710/730 ddr3 varients but bare In mind the gt cards will lose compatibility in later versions where the and cards will parts longer. You can also install in FX and apus with sse4.1 but you still need a dedicated GPU for the APUs

@@themarcosaguila1 as long as it's not xfx brand it has a high chance of working oob but you may need to do some tweaking. Best brand I suggest is sapphire

To anyone willing to use photoshop, you must know it needs specific patches for it to work and does not perform as well as on intel hackintosh. And, if you are interested in android development you will have problems with emulators. For example official android emulators from google need specific intel extensions. This can ver overcomed using genymotion for example, but again, it doesn't perform as good as with a vanilal intel hackintosh. So yes, a vanilla ryzen hackintosh is awesome but it has some caveats.

For all the android stuff about official android emulator anyone can do a simple search on reddit or ask in amd hackintosh discord.

@Morgonaut it is true, photoshop needs patches. iOS emulator runs fine, android emulator doesn’t even start. Docker will not work as well. Tried myself and is a know issue in amdosx fórum

I love your videos. Amazing info and the best source for hackintosh building. Quick question. I bought the exact parts with the exception of the ITX motherboard since I need a more portable machine. I assume that everything should work with the process you have provided. My motherboard is the Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro WiFi ITX version. Only difference is that its the ITX version and not the ATX version. I assume it should work.

My first Hackintosh was an AMD build, then I moved to Intel for ease of installation. Been stuck with an Intel 3rd gen 3770K build for 7 years as I can't afford to upgrade... until now! Thank you for this video!

The i7 3770k is still a good CPU.
I'm still using it as I can't afford an update now.
I've never had a CPU last so long and still able to perform after these years.
But I can't decently edit in 4k.
you could easily edit 4k on it if you would have correct workflow
@@bonbondesel It has served me well, and I game in 1440P with a Vega 64 and looking at the benchmarks it still is pretty darn even with the new CPUs.
@@MorgonautHackintosh Thanks for the info ! It's not a hackintosh but I'm very interrested about hackintosh. It's a Windows PC and I use Adobe Premiere. For very short 4k project, it's ok. But I took 4k surfing watershot with more than 60fps to have epic slow mo. Color correction is also needed coz high fps darken the picture. And when I edit this kind of stuff, it becomes very laggy.

Motherboard compatability is the most important component to a hackintosh build.
Gigabyte is the most stable and compatable brand (heavily suspected to be the manufacturer of Apple's desktop motherboards).

Also, for curiosity, could you please explain or walk through the clover configurator changes you made and applied kexts in your EFI folder, so people know exactly what was done to make it work and better understand it. I use 1000W power supply but only because I am testing in this build several 2x GPU configuration. You can choose any power supply you want which handle your components

@@Iva666ka You have to subscribe to the appropriate service. $20 will buy you an hour of her time and she will be able to send you the files and help you set it up. It is very reasonable pricing and it is pretty simple to setup. I did it in under 30 minutes of overall time chatting with her. She keeps a tab on all the time she spends reading your messages and replying so just ask her for that if you want to know where you're at.
Do it, you won't regret it! Subscribe and wait for an email from her, pay attention to what she says and don't waste time. Ask questions about what is the best hardware to get if you don't trust her choices here. I just bought the 4 items she recommends and completed the rest of the build with my own selection of parts. In fact, I chose different RAM from the motherboard list of trusted memory. Works great.
Watch out if you want to dual boot though. I wanted to without realising that Windows could wreck my MacOS install accidentally. So I am no going with her hardware virtualisation method. Gonna be awesome.

Theresa, I understand this is frustrating. Maybe just today's internet culture and "pretty normal" and also - you said it already - st*pid.
Furthermore in my opionion totally unjustified, because I can clearly see that you not only put a great effort and soul in your videos, but also you know your stuff. That should be obvious to everybody.

Yes its thru, I got really exited and motivated to build my own hackintosh when I watch the video, also very grateful to her to make this video and all the effort and now I'm sad that is no more BIOS and other files needed to make it happen :/ . Since I'm noob, I know that I cant make this by myself.

yes it works with nvme disks of course. I use SSDs because it's more reliable for me to test systems like this and swap disks between computers
