Where does your sequencing go wrong?

  • In this video, I lay out the sequencing issues that most golfers face. I also explain why some of the conventional fixes for these issues are terrible. This video is from my instructional video BroomForce, which offers a series of simples drills to maximize your swing speed and distance through better sequencing. More info here:

    Great stuff, Monte.
    For folks looking for more along these lines, Adam Porzak is another well-known instructor who frequently tells students to accelerate their arms and hands from the top for better sequencing and club speed.

    Yes I agree . Sequence is first left knee goes back to target followed by arm and club drops in front of you followed by hip rotation followed by right leg moves forward.

    This seems to fit me. My arrns are late at impact and I hit a lot of pushes and the harder I try to turn in the backswing the later the arns tend to get. I tend to hit the golf ball much more solid when I speed up the arms. So, I am back to reviewing the NO Turn Cast Video.

    So counterintuitive but so true

    Do you move the arms and hands consciously? I.e., intentionally? Or do you move the shoulders in such a way that your hands and arms move too?
    Put differently, am I trying to make sure my SHOULDERS keep up with my hips, or am I actually swinging with my ARMS?

    So what is the correct sequence?

      Don’t consciously separate the hips, shoulders, arms in the downswing.

    The pro I have lessons with promotes everything monty us saying I've cone to the conclusion that the lower body's reacting to the fact that a weight is being swung which a video cant pick up as its your muscles firing inside the body your mind tells your arms to start the body reacts accordingly.
    We get away with making all sorts of funky moves with a golf club as its lite try swinging a heavy sledgehammer at a wall without thinking go much and just let your body react, if you try swinging it with your hips you will be in a and e.

    I had a golf lesson once and the club pro said "every golfer over does everything".

    So the arms win the race? I think Tiger stated this.

  • @VimMitt

    Lower body job is to shift the weight forward first not to spin out the hips. Then u drop the arms in front of you.

    And the trick to getting it synchronized is …?

  • @bonefiedrealdeal3640
    @bonefiedrealdeal3640 Před rokem

    There’s a real easy way to fix swing faults. You just throw the club down the fairway leading with the trail elbow

  • @robsaxepga
    @robsaxepga Před 5 měsíci

    The arms travel farther than any other body part in the swing. That must be taken into account.
