  • If you're throwing away the angle and casting the club, find out why the way you're trying to fix it probably isn't working. Check out my new website rebelliongolf.com for tips, videos, and links to my new mobile apps.

This guy deserves more than 16k subscribers; the best golf advice I have seen anywhere on youtube . Its unreal how well this guy can explain misconception surrounding the golf swing and it's interesting how he feels there is no 'one size fits all'

Absolutely agree, I've just found Monte recently after years of watching videos which appear to assume that I'm 25 years old, 6'4" and made of slabs of rubber muscle. Monte's advice to shorten the back swing to accommodate the physical limitations of my body have given me more improvement than I've had in 3 years of trying to make a full turn with a bar straight left arm.

He's genius, so simple to understand, no airs and grace's, straight to the point. I wish Monte was in England, I'd be at either a lesson or a school of his

Monte is a really good athlete and I think really good athletes know how to simplify athletic movements. If you look at his no cast, cast drill, your ball striking will improve drastically. There’s another video where he works with a player on shortening his backswing and focussing on a full release rather than focussing on shaft lean. It works! I watched a few of his videos several times, including the video material on his new website and it’s given me a major breakthrough in my golf. His teaching on wedge play has improved my ball striking through the bag.
No I’m not related to Monte but I’m a huge fan of his approach.

Well said. How many times I asked a golf instructor why I shanked when I used to, and the majority said ..oh well stand further away from the ball. Later on I learned it had nothing to do with that..and that's why I teach myself now.

You need to make more videos. You’ve explained that to me and Iv watched 6 videos on casting for the past two weeks and I still can’t solve it. Soooo simple to follow. Thanks man

Sir, excellent video...ties in with your other video really well “early extension”. By far, one of the best advice I have ever heard. Nice to hear an instructor explain why these faults happen, instead of the same old quick fix that won’t last.

Great vid, outstanding analogies used. I too have a slight early release and a long back swing. Been told by several "golf instructors" to hold the lag and delay the release. But everything from the shoulders down were totally out of time. Tried it for several months but got so frustrated with the feeling of poor sequence timing that I literally after 40 years of playing gave up the game. Trying to get back into it now and youve nailed it in my opinion that "fix the cause" not the result. Keep up the fine work alot of people over diagnose their problems and that leads to complication and "thinking" instead of "feeling". Salute

If you never met me, just click at 1:50 and you now know me. I never had a clue until my son took a quick video on the course a few weeks ago. I saw me doing this but didn't tie it in to the early release of the lag angle. And just like he shows at impact it looks bad, but I hit it dead straight, but only 180 to 200 - all the distance coming from center contact. This video is awesome, now to fix it...

Where do you stand on Driver length in general? For a 10 handicap w 90mph swing speed, does a 45 inch Driver make more sense than a 45.5 inch Driver? What do you typically see in your students and what do you think would be best fit? I have to get to your next CT or MA clinic. Thank you.

I take lessons and have been told that I need to get my body left (shifting). I cannot, for the life of me, stop casting/flipping. I hit the ball pretty well but it’s robbing me of accuracy and distance. How do I fix the weight shift to stop casting like you described in example 1 you described?
