When adventure calls for a bunch of gear, you need to pack it right. From duffels to sleeping bags, our pros have compiled a few tips to pack large without cramming your car.
Do you guys have a maintenance video? My latches on my Yakima cargo carrier don't release and latch as easy as they used to, wondering how to maintain.
Would the duffel bags and luggage fit into the alpine version? I don’t have a lot of room clearance in my garage door so I would like to keep a low height profile.
How does one replace the waterproofing/ weatherstrip on the inside of the lid ? Yakima Rocketbox yrb 41614. The water is bouncing off the roof and flooding the inside!!
I had a 12 cu. box that NEVER leaked... now the bigger one does?! It's 7ft. by 2 ft. and leaks like a sieve!!! I can see glue from some weatherstrip, but can't seem to find a replacement!
Are Yakima roof top cargo boxes considered water proof? I like the idea of keeping lightweight, bulky items like tent, sleeping mats and sleeping bags up top, but I would be concerned about getting them wet.
Hello, The boxes are not waterproof, we do recommend placing any items that cannot get wet into waterproof bags. Please let me know if I can assist with anything else
@@MrKuntzie3 no box on the market will say they’re weather-“proof” as that opens up liability if stuff gets wet. Most are very weather-resistant though.
Some pretty good tips, thanks. Does anyone know what kind of water container he has stored in the back of the car next to the cooler? ( The green round pail type container )
Damn you're organized 👍

@@MrKuntzie3 FWIW I've driven in rain storms going 70 mph and my Yakima Skybox has never leaked in 9+ years.
