As far as coastal bombardment goes, isn't the number of ships for bombarding limited by the number of troops being amphibiously moved to the zone? I thought I remembered that being a rule.
Great strategies! I got my Anniversary board today! :D Italy doesn't change too much between the 1941 and 1942 setup. Maybe you should do a video on comparing the two setups as well.
I'm confused about one thing with Anniversary edition: can you start with any income and new units on your first turn? With the different turn sequence, it doesn't seem like you can purchase anything new on your first turn.
Hi Alex, sorry about the confusion. Income, unit purchases, and unit placement work the same in this game as in all of the other Axis and Allies variants, though they did tweaked the prices of things slightly.
in the original rule set that wasnt included so there are many players who do that. However, I agree that turkey is neutral and you cannot go through to the black sea. If you could then that is extremely broken in favor of the axis in my opinion.
@@michaelsorensen5434 Right. If the axis powers could do that, it would be a totally different game. When were the rules revised? I'm just curious. I've only had my edition for a couple of years.
@@dirkdiggler9482 When it first game out there was nothing about sailing into the black sea but at some point that was added as an optional rule to close the black sea in the official anniversary additional FAQ/errata. I don't know when but that was a while ago, I never play with the black sea open anyway. screws up the game.
Italy: I use to rule the world!🎶

alex bob Yep, that is a rule. You are correct.

alex bob Thanks for the compliment, Alex, and for the idea!

You start with money (income from last turn) to buy units turn 1.

Alright! Thanks! I got confused since the income is collected at the end of your turn.
Italy cannot enter sea zone 16, and neither can anyone else, because Turkey is neutral and that canal is closed. That can opener idea doesn't fly.
