The truly great men of Europe are our noble scholars. Those who dedicated their lives to the pursuit of 'Ilm, and then taught that knowledge to our Ummah. Be they from past ages (like Sheikh al-Akkirmani), or the modern age (like Sheikh al-Albani).
The fitra is the perfect example of why we humans have the common understanding of God being 1 single entity Neither begets nor begotten Does not live or die Exists permanently before their was and will continue to be long after everything ends

Also worth noting: At that time in Europe one's religious and political identity not separate but fused together. So if you converted to, say, even a different form of Christianity, you were betraying your own country, and convicted of treason. People often forget this fact though it's significant. It explains the sheer bravado of Luther's letter even more. This is how Luther's revolution caused the birth of the idea of "freedom of religion". Then, as today, freedom of religion came to be about the right of EUROPEANS to convert to OTHER forms of Christianity, without losing their citizenship. "Freedom of religion" was never meant to recognize non-Christians' right to exist/worship as they pleased, since the Church simply treated all non-Christians as heretics/pagans. Freedom of religion was about Christian rights, who were the only full humans (hence "human" rights = Christian rights). Does anyone recall this little detail? In 2004 when France banned the hijabs and Jewish kippahs to uphold secular values, wearing small crosses was still permissible and excluded from the ban.
This is a very important fact that must be shared openly and internalized by the Ummah. We must start promoting our own Muslim countries instead, where we can live dignified lives in accordance to Islam. There is no need to disgrace ourselves, especially if it means being disgraced by the truly disgraceful ones (i.e. disbelievers).

Not all modern Christian denominations believe in trinity, for example most famous one of them is Jehovah's Witnesses. They don't perceive Jesus and Holy Spirit as gods.
