For all the people saying they were made late by this ... this wasn't a surprise closure, it was announced well in advance. So maybe people should plan accordingly, show up earlier, plan for extra time, and notify their customers ahead of time?
It is stupid to compare this project to the 405 Carmageddon! The 405 was NEVER shut down on a weekday/night!! Ok, if you want to get technical, it was shut down around 9pm on a Fri. But never during morning or afternoon rush hour!!
This is the perfect example of a state with abysmal city planning and decades of forcing people to only travel by car. Making things really far from each other only connected by freeway is the worst plan. Notice how a strip of construction on a section of freeway negatively impacts not only local businesses but just a domino affect interrupting everyday life, errands, getting to work on time, job interviews etc. Other countries have basic transit system that look luxurious compared to our city planning. And I doubt there is much train infrastructure in the region they show in order to connect people during these delays. I don’t mean bus I mean basic means like above or underground trains. Heck the construction workers hard at work would probably face a little less pressure to get the job done under this heat if LA had a real train system people could rely on for things like this that come up. It didn’t look that crammed in that footage but I’d imagine it won’t look pretty this Fri/weekend.
LA doesn’t give a sh1t about the people lol. It’s so trashy and gotten worse and worse month by month since the beginning of Covid. Newsom isn’t a people person. He’s a pleaser for his own self. Remember that.
Perfect timing. They couldn’t do that crap during the COVID shut down? When traffic was way lighter? Great job CalTrans. Very well job done! Screw the taxpayers but Slow for the cone zone? give them a break? I’m betting the public stuck in that traffic wants to give them something all right.
I can't believe my tax dollars take 7+ years to take effect. San Gabriel Valley is ALWAYS under construction. It's been under construction for the past 5 years!
Remember when state departments were keeping employees home? Caltrans,DMV,State offices. Thats why they didnt do it during covid. When it was convenient for YOU.
actually not , here in Colorado I 25 was expanded and CDOT crews worked night and day a massive expansion , they can work only so many months before winter weather sets in.
Apparently the Type R commonly overheats due to engine design, espesically an clapped out one like this one, this guy is probably riding dirty with no plates. LOL
Cmon it’s LA. When I lived there I was in traffic for hours and there were no repairs going on. A few days is nothing. In phoenix, the 10 has been under repair all summer and everyday I’m stuck in traffic in 100+ weather. I would do anything for only 5 days of inconvenience
The people in L.A. should prioritize Buses more.. like making legit lanes on the freeway for buses and have tax cuts for those who ride the buses and public transit more. 👍
Don't get off on my exit. Lower Azusa Rd. Please keep driving to your destination. Lol. Everyone hang in there. Stay cool and makes sure you have enough of the 6 dollars a gallon gas. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
lane expansions actually create more traffic. your city planners must be eating paint chips to think this is somehow gonna solve anything. remember the ongoing housing shortage?
Yea it's terrible. It's hard to stand all this nice weather, bomb weed, beautiful women and active night life. I wish I lived in the sticks some were that a 45 mins drive to Walmart would be the highlight of my week. FYI that bridge is not even in L.A
Did he really say “Thursday the worst traffic day of the week”? 😂 yea I guess he’s never drove on a Friday in the 210 💀😂
210 ,15,710 I heard that haha 😂 💅🏽
Yep glad I moved, dont miss the 3 hr commute.
Took me 3 hours to get from commerce to san bernardino.. (in my semi truck) on Friday.
I think it's on a Wednesday!! The worst traffic day of the week. And I'm curious about it.. lol

They should of finished the 5 frw and 10 frw before messing with another frw … I wonder how long it’s gonna take for them to finish

In other sensible countries the crew will work from dawn to dusk. Only in US they work from 9-5 the exact time people are using the road.

@@claudiorazzetti8682 commiefornia has its own labor laws that are a whole lot of bs
They don't work 9-5 they work at night. Work on this bridge could not be completed in one night.
😂 That's right
That's not true. I've seen lots of road crews working almost around the clock.
Thanks to all the construction and maintenance personnel that keep up the infrastructure doing 💪😎
LA needs to fix their travel infrastructure and traffic problem. Finding parking is really bad as well
It's not part of LA though different cities
This traffic is from them fixing the travel infrastructure lol
@@willyum1717 who do you think approve these projects?
I mean this is them improving the infrastructure. You don't want this section to collapse during an earthquake.
They need to stop building apts and condos.

Is that mean they will replace Eastbound also after Westbound is finished?
Next month in August

How am I suppose to get to the Azusa Costco? lol
Why don't they finish working on the 5 before creating more traffic!?
They are hard at work for millions of divers. Take the train
