Let me tell you what happened to the shot perp.... He was taken to a local hospital where three Physicians, 12 Nurses and Techs saved his life. When he was ready for discharge, the Police arrested him and took him to Jail. That way, none of the Physicans nor the Hopital were paid a dime for his care. Police are very careful not to arrest a perp earlier because the City would be liable for the Medical Bill.
