  • The BEST Giant Lake Trout fishing in the United States occurs in the Eastern Basin of Lake Ontario! Throughout the summer, the BSO TEAM handles a myriad of Lakers between 20 and 30 lbs., with a few examples approaching the 40 lb. mark. In this video, Capt. Bill Saiff III show anglers productive Cowbell combinations, Flasher/Fly combinations (Salmon Candy) and the Spin N Glo rigs that he uses to target these big fish.......
Lake Trout switch gears in late August and September as the biggest fish prepare to go through their fall spawning cycle. Bill's techniques will keep you into big Lakers through the end of September. Visit us online at www.billsaiffoutdoors.com

Great videos Bill! Here on Superior, I love running these same presentations for late season lake trout. Another good combo in my charter program is 11" paddle flashers with a spin n glo rig. We usually rig our spin n glows and flies with smelt when fishing the bottom like this. Tight lines!

All these rigs were inside of 10ft off the ball.......GPS Speed Over Ground (SOG) was around 1.6 knots.
