honshu blades are wicked sharp. I have a honshu kitchen knife and i accidentally cut of the tip of my pinky finger. Not much just 3 mm.Crazy thing is , it was painless, that's how sharp it is.
It is meant for cutting people. I call it a smasheti. It is a hack and slash weapon and the bottom part below the blade is meant to be dull so it does not get stuck
What's the difference?? Is the d2 one stronger? Don't really know much about swords..I saw that combat commander has a sword similar to this one made out of 1065 carbon steel
@@fergusonbishop1205 The D2 steel version is absolutely tougher steel the one in the video is not a bad steel but it doesn't compare to D2 , but the D2 cost about $50 or $60 more ,and rightfully so because of the blade size and it is a Tool Steel high carbon. I have only seen it on TrueSwords.com
This is on my buy later list on Amazon. Can't wait till I can purchase it, I have 27 knives and swords on it but this will be the next to be purchased. Thank you for the review.
Those holes in the blade are for "7 meters", "10 meters", "15 meters" and "25 meters"....jk. Cool blade and the rope cutting scene is crazy. Thanks for showing.
I don't care for the holes next to the handle. If the cutting edge went all the way back would be great 👍 Don't misunderstand, it looks really good, but I am looking for something similar but heavier built. These guys also have a machete that is also very nice but it has the holes near the handle. I'm probably going to wind up with Two 2 lb + Bowie knives for now.. the Two Bowie knives that I daily carry are kinda Puny for my current needs. A little Short I might add. They have served me extremely well but with a 1lb 10 in blade? They just aren't cutting it so to speak.. One other point that I keep coming up with is that I have always used two blades. Decisions, Decisions. 😢
Don't buy it it have flaws i got one ant it will break if you cut the trees. It's very delicate it will protect you from bear or a mountain lion but no chopping wood. This blade is simply only to kill someone or something.
youd be surprised. they are added there to increase its structural intregrity. wich sounds stupid i know but for some reason (if done correctly) actually works
cost obviously, if they would use a better steel like 5160 it would cost around double the price, i would not mind paying that price for a 5160 blade but the main target are those with limited found that want a nice toy for the backyard that will not rust.
A.Plosky I agree. For a sword that’s meant to be an impact weapon, they could at least use 1060 carbon steel. Hell I’ll take properly heat treated 1045 for an inexpensive sword. Stainless is just too brittle and hard for actual sword use.
@@Divine_Serpent_Geh agree 1045 would be enough while being cost effective But another point, they made it stainless so the blade stay shiny even when used, if it would be carbon steel it would either develop patina or worse rust (personally i don't mind a patined blade)
Wow. Cutting that dangling rope was very impressive. Definitely a beast
Ohio Guns & Deals hahaahah

I've got the karito axe, thing is DANGEROUS.
It may not be historically accurate, but it's still a whole lot of steel awesome.
Imagine If they were rocking this back In the day, would have been insane
So glad someone did this I just bought this sword and now I'm definitely sure I'm going to have ALOT of fun with is
It is meant for cutting people. I call it a smasheti. It is a hack and slash weapon and the bottom part below the blade is meant to be dull so it does not get stuck
That is the best of the Spartan blades I have seen as of yet and they come in D2 steel also.

@@powerplay4real174 d2 def isn't tougher, more wear resistance but a lot less tough, for this type of blade 7cr13 is a lot more recommended
Those Honshu knives are COOL!
Looks sick

What if anything can I use the extensive length of not sharp portion of the blade. Once it is unsheathed, the top snap is very hard to re-snap.
One of my best

I totally anticipated him killing that bee 🐝
@704 Gear Where was this blade made
Woow🔥
I like the Honshu Line.
How many centimeters is the length of the blade?
Can u make more testing videos for this sword?
😍 I gotta get one!
You got one yet?
Just ordered it...Can't wait..Got the broad sword, just ordered this one, and the battle axe is next..Life is Good, 👍😁
I've got that axe, it's so frigging cool.
They were thinking about making a double headed version which looks cool but also a very bad idea.
Cool..
Very beautiful, how long is the blade, how many centimeters is the blade?

Can you do the new Honshu Broadsword?
impressive
THIS IS
AWSOME !! .....you thought I was going to say Sparta
I thought you going to say America ƪ(˘⌣˘)ʃ
This is... How much? 🤣
I thought you were gunna say
"Candy land mutha fucka!"
how much does it weigh?
Where is the link where you can buy it how much is it
What’s the difference in performance between this and the D2 steel version.
Please tell where can we buy this

Just sent off for one there they are the bridge between a bowie and a sword there it seems to me.
I just bought one and it's all that and some
Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuppppppppeeeeerrrr Shhhaaarrp!
What about the spartan xiphos. Short, sharp point for stabbing, double edge with a thicker blade for slicing.
Spartan Power
Nice. That will compliment my Kershaw Trooper. Just wish it was double edged.
you can do that yourself.
👍
So, an imitation Bowie Knife.
How much is it I want this plz contact us.
Would you recommend it for combat situations?
Yes i have one but only combat it will break if you start chopping wood.
Thats what it’s for bro
I like it but I can't find blade please help me to find it
I'd love to see one that's a little longer closer to a sword than a dagger.
B-Conn66 the spartan sword was this short so if you like it historically accurate you’ll have to deal with it
Yep a modern Cutlass.
👋
It looks like the sword in the movie,
Book of Eli , no ?
How can I buy one of those swords ?

love the review but the tang is the part of the piece that goes into the handle.

bowie knife+ falcata+ modern materials=
If this knife was made of 1095 steel or something similar it would be ABSOLUTELY PERFECT..
@The Journey It's 7cr13 stainless steel, it's not very strong, it's brittle and can't stand up to hard chopping.
There's a D2 version with stronger steel.
@@ronniep9272 Yeah, I bought a D2 steel one. Pretty nice.
@@makerofmanythings8447 depends what you’re chopping 😉 I’d say this is bought more for self defence, for which it does a great job
Класс, сколько же он стоит в рублях?
I don't like those holes. They make cleaning more difficult. And for the same reason, the grip. I'd rather have a smooth grip with finger holes.
is this a full tang?
I would like to see all the Honshu blades (small to big)
Steel is very weak on honshu, they will break if you start doing chopping wood
How much price of this sword
Just under $90
Is it a full tang blade? ♈⚓⚓♈
Partial I think
Honshu is the sh##!!
wow !!!! Big Deal 🤣
love the design. but sadly 7Cr steel doesn't do it for me. they could have done at least 440C or similar. still a nice blade though...
My victims will be honored to be hacked up by this beauty!
Look like bowie knife.....saw back on The top and bottom...
.
And here i thought high carbon was better then stainless steel
Where.The. Fuck. Do. I. Get. One?
So the Chinese do make some quality products after all
I would get the Honshu - Spartan Sword D2 Tool steel one over this one any day its worth the money in my Opinion just saying.
is it sharper
Bagaimana saya bisa mendapatkan barang ini?

It's called a fuller, not a bloodgroove. It has absolutely nothing to do with blood. Lol

I think the holes in the blade are called a weakness.

The go to concealed carry knife for those who conceal carry .50 cals lol
Test this on wooden blocks, & metal sheet
Are you going to be cutting metal sheets with it? Imagine what it does against a zombie 😉
