Tested this out for many matches. While I would LOVE to have a second reload booster, this hamstrings the ship too much. I dont sit back and torp like many do. I am forward, spotting enemy dd's capping etc. The amount of times my engine was knocked out and I was defenseless was crazy. I'm certainly going back to my traditional build.
Its not bad but it certainly hamstrings the ship with losing unstopable. Especially if you are playing your dd right and being out front all the time and contesting caps. I tried it 5-10 games and was incapacitated far too much while I was waiting for my damage control cooldown to be over.
Risky play against that Somers to stay that close. If Somers had left the smoke she had smoked you with her guns.. but hey, my style. no risk, no fun. Well done!
I love it when dd's sit in smoke like that. I love to torp them or charge them as they are usually blind themselves and I can get a point blank shot on them. Especially if I've seen they have fired their torps already. I use smoke to escape and evade not sit in. Only rookie dd drivers do that.
@@Berserker_4517 Reason why I rarely go straight into smoke (unless active sonar while I am blind) but usually circle to one side and come more from the side and back. Most dd have their guns pointed to the wrong side then.
weird that my first comment poofed. I finally got a first on a ship I love to play. Its my go to tier 7. I'm a DD main and love the sneaky annoying jap dd's. While I would LOVE to run fully packed and getting an extra torpedo reload, losing unstoppable is concerning. So often that has saved me. I might have to devote some resources into togo just to try it. I run a 16/4 tanaka with 16/4 bey and swirsky inspirations. With your level 14 togo the differences are: +4 second torp reload, -1000 damage, -1.6 range (bad loss with radar cruisers I like the 11.6 range) , -.1 concealment (not a bad tradeoff) -2kts speed, -.6 rudder (always a good thing) Its certainly worth exploring. sadly I dont have the resources to get to 14 right away. losing unstoppable is a concern still, especially with a 5.3 minute reload, but its certainly worth exploring. I also run prop mod vs steering gears so that accounts for the rudder shift. While I like to wiggle, running prop mod lets me maneuver faster overall as I do alot of start and stop. Its also helpful when you spot enemy torps and need to throw on the brakes.
I despise this ship personaly, its Shima level of skill, i remember the days when it came out, playing the game at the time was almost as worse as the JB, Wichita or Atlanta days
@@MysticalDragon73 no it doesn’t. I guess we found the ijn torp boat player. I did used to play this line a lot when I first started playing. I grew out of it when I learned the game.
@@MysticalDragon73 man i played it, along with Shima, Kegero, Asashio and Akatsuki, none of these ships require any skills whatsoever, if a DD firing at least 8, 9 or 15 torps doing at least 15k while having below 5km concealment is hard to play then i invite you to play Z-23, Le Fantasque or Udaloi, and these are not even hard to play they just require more skill
@@mikeD1234 LOL you are a fool as Ive been playing dd's since beta on pc. Yes I like my sneaky torp boats and can control a flank and deny pushes as I maneuver and keep them on their toes.
Appreciate you. ❤️ I think you are the closest to my class and playstyle, so always picking things up from you learning wise. Love my cruiser's. 😊
Thats the spirit!
I was kinda shocked when I seen the thumbnail 😂 GG Hipper great vid

I too used yudachi with togo
And its not bad at all

Wouldn't recommend sitting in smoke mate. If that Somers had fired all there torps or TnT could of ended badly.

I like sitting at the edge of my smoke screen to bait the potatoes who like to rush smoke screens. So many ballsy potatoes have died that way 😂😂😂

The only thing I enjoy about this boat, is deleting it

Actually it does take alot of skill to play it properly. But hey keep hating and crying.

@@aproudbaguette3605 im a dd main so yes I play them too. However the russian dd's SUCK and are a waste. they are more like light cruisers.
