Hey Nicole - that's a windsor and newton sable - they have the boring name 'professional artist's watercolor sable' - and it's a #8 pointed round. I insist on pointed rounds vs regular rounds, so I can draw the brush! It's a lot like a Chinese callirgraphy brush in nature - and I also use those! so - any brush will do as long as it's got a great point and long enough hairs to hold lots of paint. No tiny brushes! they don't hold enough paint :) Also I like to use these pointed rounds 'folded on the side' for bigger shapes - so the long hair gives you a bigger mark. Thanks! ~m
