    what is that wonderful little brush you are using?

      These are Chinese brushes? So I don't know much about them, other than they're very long hair, very pointed rounds. In the shop they call them 'wolf hair', but that's just a translation - so I have to think that could be anything really. The internet says goat, weasel and rabbit fur are all used in Asia. (For calligraphy brushes).

    is that cartridge paper or w/c paper you are using?

      These are just warmups so it a cheap paper they call “mix media”. By Fabriano. Not a great watercolor paper by any means.

      This is a sketch paper called 'Mix Media' - from Fabriano. I think, 90lb? It holds water well enough so I assume it's sized (coated) somehow? I like it for 'throw away' sketches.
