Take a moment to appreciate that this song was 50 years ago!!! It is just as iconic today as it was half a century ago!
THEEEEEEM 1970s were fantastic.
This song is played everyday hundreds of times around the world for the past 50 years!
this song will never die
My fav Aerosmith song!
Kerry is a rock chick today! I love it. This is an amazing classic but I highly recommend "Angel" by Aerosmith . Thanks for another great reaction...much appreciated.
Aerosmith and Steven at the top of their game
ONE OF MY FAVS FROM THE 1970s
Sweet emotion is my FAVOURITE Aerosmith song . Great reaction 👍👍👍
This version was cut up like a Thanksgiving turkey 🦃 they left out the guitar solo and great guitar intro by Joe Perry. Why would anyone recommend half a song with the best parts omitted?
Man I hate when they do that. Someone who dosnt know the song would recommend this version. And how about an actual live version as well?
I saw Aerosmith sing this song in concert in 1974 in Toledo, Ohio at the Sports Arena, it was my first time hearing them live. They sounded like what I heard on the radio on WIOT FM or my mom's car 8 track stereo tape player. Those were simpler times. I miss the Sports Arena, you could buy your ticket for a cheap price...no Ticketmaster monopoly.
Remember Aerosmith/Boston
The Spectrum in Philly is gone. I saw my first concert there, Styx. 😥
holy crap you guys are old lol
@@goodwillhumping7331 Word of advice, you will be too, faster than you think. Don't wait until tomorrow.
You can buy tickets from other sources too, so Ticketmaster isn't a monopoly, by definition.
Sad and beautiful !
Happy you enjoyed this all time top classic rock song!🤘😎
Queensryche - "Silent Lucidity"
is another great song I'm sure will move you too.
I had just finished my freshman year of highschool when this was originally released. Sounds just as good today as it did then.
Saw them in a free concert back in 1973
This is one of the biggest, if not their biggest hit that I was referring to on their 1st Greatest Hits album. Just a great song. Thank you, Kerry!
Great song with some really meaningful lyrics.
i love it! soul food it is
Someone annoyingly dubbed the studio recording over this Live performance video of them on The Midnight Special. Aerosmith headlined the first concert I went to in 1978; Cal Jam 2. I was just 15yrs9mos and was there for about 27 to 28 hours. Then I had to go to the tunnel underneath the racetrack and shout; "anyone going to San Bernardino?" Right away someone shouted "come with us." Luckily, it's after 1am, they said they lived just a few blocks from me. So I rode in the back of their Ranchero and got home.
I saw them in Houston Texas 1976. It was magical!
Wow Kerry ! You are dressed very nicely. You look great ! You always look great. But you look extra special nice in this video. 🙂🙂🙂
Seasons of Wither is another amazing Aerosmith Song, it can bring me close to tears sometimes. It's my favorite of all their songs, which is saying a lot considering their catalog.
Home Tonight, and You See Me Cry as well for me.
…..this version was all cut up 🥲 short version, great reaction, your beautiful ❤
Sorry to put this comment on another singer’s reaction, but I know no other way to get this message to you…
I strongly urge you to immediately listen to Angelina Jordan sing any one of the songs I list below. Every one is a masterpiece performance by this young lady. She is a child prodigy who started singing at age 18 months and is now 18 years old. She made me consider for the first time in my life whether reincarnation could be real. She makes me believe that Homer knew of some long lost singing techniques when he wrote about Ulysses encountering the Sirens, and that Angelina rediscovered that sound. She won the national talent competition Norway’s Got Talent at age 8 taking 46% of the viewers’ votes in a field of 10 finalists. I discovered her nearly two years ago on YT and had more tears during the first three days listening to her videos than I had in the 56 preceding years combined. I have had tears nearly every day but since then. Some listeners get tears, some goosebumps. I dare to say her vocal dexterity is beyond any other person’s. She is said to have 1000 voices. She appears to have an incredible empathic ability, and through her voice conveys the songs emotion to the listener. She has transformed the lives of many fans, calling themselves her Angels. Many will tell you she improves any song she covers, regardless how iconic the original. She sings barefoot to remind herself of the orphan girl she befriended while traveling international at age six, and all the lesser fortunate people in the world.
Never heard this? It was on the radio a few weeks during my trip to Moscow.
Danced to this at every school dance in JR high. :) Great song! Wonderful reaction Kerry!
Hi Kerry, you look very nice!😊 I see you are continuing your Aerosmith journey.😉 Great reactions to this powerful song from Aerosmith, Kerry!!!!🎶👏👏👏👏
One of my all time favorites. Thanks for covering this. You are awesome.
Aww, thanks for reacting to this one Kerry! This is such a good song!
My number 2 band.
This was their first TV performance, it was 1974 on Don Kirchners rock concert. This performance was broadcast nationally and became the turning point for them. They were very famous after this. I had first seen them the year before when they played in my high school gymnasium.
This song saved their label contract.
This song was used to be the theme of the movie MIRACLE. About the US olympic hockey team upsetting The Great Iron Curtain - The Soviet Union. CCCP.
Fan since 74. First ever concert for me, 15 yo. Two car loads of school friends on a road trip. 8 track tapes providing the entertainment. Everyone made it back!
You gotta hear The CARPENTERS! Rainey days and Mondays
Amazing reaction
Steve Tyler (singer) is a unique vocalist. Joe Perry is an amazing guitarist. The other guys are great too. But Tyler and Perry were the team that made it happen. They've have dozens of BIG hits over nearly half a century.
This version is edited oddly... It's a great song. Steven Tyler wrote 'Dream On' when he was only age 17. At the end of a summer, all the feelings and angst of youth came pouring out into this song. ___ (FYI He didn't even know how to write music at the time. WOW, talk about talent).
Dream On was Aerosmith's first single.
Still my favorite Aerosmith song. The audio is the original studio version of the song, and they dubbed it over a live performance. So, if his lips don't exactly line up with the audio, then that's why. Keep up your great reactions and keep listening to great music!
no it ain't
missing a verse
this is the shortened radio friendly version
I didn't catch that. I want to find the actual live version to see how it sounds. @@flerbus
No, this is the original studio version with edits, probably to keep it somewhat synced with video. At least one small cut and one really big one.
Kerry rockin' the pearls.
Rock legends ! Before Aerosmith went stone cold sober and still had that dirty grit. Live for the day ! Steven wrote Dream On when he was 13 I think ... Who knew where a little boys dream would lead him 😊
I saw Aerosmith for the first time in 1972 at a place called The Surf, located in Hull, Massachusetts, for five dollars. They rocked the place. I had a feeling they'd hit it big, but never would've thought they'd have fame that they did. My best friend and I waited outside the music store in Quincy for it to open the day we knew this album was going to be released. I still have that album. Fifty years later, and I'm still playing it. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Hello Kerry, it’s always a pleasure to see you expanding your musical knowledge. Many great American bands. I like your personality and that you make happy videos.
Mama Kin. The song that put Aerosmith on the map.
Steven Tyler owns a home on Lake Sunapee in NH just a few miles from me. I have seen him at the harbor in the Summer. He is a super nice Man.
If you feel emotional about this Aerosmith song you should check out "I Will Remember You" by Amy Grant which would make for a great goodbye funeral song.
Awesome reaction Thank you!
Thank you for this.
Do a video on Aerosmith. "You see me Crying" 😉
Awesome Song! The lyrics resonate with people. BTW, your reactions are entertaining and You're a very beautiful, classy woman😎🤘🤘🤘
One of the best songs of all time
A 70s BANGER
Kerry is rockin and rollin! Love the painting too... Monet colors! How about *Rolling Stones* Sympathy for the Devil (with lyrics)? Paint it Black? Gimme Shelter?
I was a teen when I first herd this GREAT song
Almost 40 years ago I felt like you did first time hearing it!
So my first favorite songs were Hitchin' A Ride, Grassing In The Grass and Crimson And Clover. My first favorite band was Three Dog Night. Then I heard Train Kept A Rollin' by these guys and instantly fell in love. They were a Boston band and when I moved to New York in 1975, none of the kids there had ever heard of them. I turned so many on to them that I really think that they owe me royalties.
Great song , Aeorsmith was my first tape i bought when i was a teen.....Keep up the great reactions, and respectively, your sweet accent is priceless 😇😎 !
Hi, Kerry. You can't go wrong with an Aerosmith song. 'Dream On' is superb. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about this song and how the lyrics make you feel 👍
Incrível sua reação 🙏😍
Amazing descriptive reaction. Truly impressed!
One of the greatest tracks from "the rock and roll years"
Still as vital and brilliant now as it was back in the early 1970's.
Love that you feel the music. Hearing and Feeling music are two different things
Rock star he is
You got good taste Kerry. You really, really do. It is one of my favorite songs. It was, is and will always be. I was just wondering Kerry if you would also play two of my other favorite songs for me and tell me what you think of them. Your opinion means so much to me whether you like them or you do not like them and why. The first one is by Dolly Parton called, "Me and Little Andy" and the other song is by Bobby Goldsboro called, "Honey". I thank you so very much Darling. I really, really do. Thank you so very much for being nice to me and everybody else. I thank you for you being you. Have a Blessed Evening. Adios. PS: Keep up the good work. You are so wonderful. Adios.
this band is Legendary also, this song is probably there best know song and what a great song it is
I saw Aerosmith in concert in 2004. ⚡(hello Kerry )
THE 70s weren't to shabby lol
Lovely girl. Great taste
wow! your accent has changed so much!
Saw them in the 70s sometime, though I was there to see opener Rick Derringer still enjoyed Aerosmith,
Слушая прекрасную английскую речь,я чувствовал ,что то родное душевное сквозь внешнюю красоту.Интуиция не подвела,когда увидел надпись на видео ,,Russian girll,,😊
This one is one of my favorites!
sigh* doing final tour now goona miss you steve greatest lead vocal ever
Probably my fav Aerosmith song, still great.
Way back some 15 year old kid bought this album and heard this song. Sometimes I wish I could go back to those days.
Another smashing AS song is "Living on the Edge", you gotta give it a listen!
Greetings from Italy 🇮🇹 👋👋👋👌👍💯💥🎶
how many people noticed that the second verse was cut out?
i recommend cryin' and what it takes if u like aerosmith
Love u Russia this will be fun as always.
This is a shortened version of the song. It appears to have been cut twice. Too bad. The full version is better. It's still a good song though.
THE 70s rooooocked
Nice colors in that painting behind you.
Hello Kerry! ❤
Great reaction. how about another classic from Aerosmith "Train kept a rollin" Thier album entitled bootleg has a good version on it. Another good song from that album is "I aint got you" Have fun :)
In case it wasn't commented the first time you watched Aerosmith: the lead singer here is the father of a well known actress, Liv Tyler. You'll see her in the three Lord of the Rings films (2001-2003), in Armageddon (1998) with Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck, and in The Incredible Hulk (2008) with Ed Norton -- among others.
BOSTON STRONG!
Their best song is...Kings and queens
I was a happy 70s BRAT LOL
I listened to the music but could only look at you :)
Great song. One of my favorites. Please play "Stairway to Heaven" by Ked Zeppelin ". The "L-I-V-E " version and "Texas Flood" by Stevie Ray Vaughn and last but not least, "Me and Little Andy" by Dolly Parton. Thank you Kerry. It really means so much to me, mi Amor. Adios.
Closing song for the movie Armageddon. His daughter has a key role. Excellent movie you may want to pair with this.
Wait until she discovers The Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin or Boston and Kansas.
It's screaming like this over 50 years that has caught up to Steven Tyler. I was supposed to see Aerosmith in concert 2 days ago but their tour has been indefinitely postponed because Steven has a broken larynx. The larynx houses the vocal cords, and manipulates pitch and volume.
Thank God he "screamed" like that. Most badass vocals in rock. And his scat?... Lhm!
How do you get your larynx broken if not by someone's fist ...?
Steven Tyler wrote this song in high school sitting at his desk.
Unfortunately, this is a shortened/edited version of the studio track. It removes one of the song's best verses, which undercuts the song's incredible build into the chorus.
The edit is at 1:11
The missing verse:
I know nobody knows
Where it comes and where it goes
I know it's everybody's sin
You got to lose to know how to win
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Unfortunately this is a shortened version of this great song
👍
They have so many great songs, but IMO this is their absolute best. Others have attempted to cover it, but there's just one that can do any justice to it is Post Modern Jukebox featuring Morgan James. Steven also does a great version with a children's choir honoring those who died in the Boston Marathon bombings.
🔥🔥💯💯💯🔥🔥
I think your gorgeous Kerry.
Kerry you would have DUGGED the 1970s This is how good us 70s brats had it
Steven Tyler, the lead singer, and Joe Perry, the lead guitarist, did so much drugs in the 70's and 80's that they were even made fun of by other rock stars. They were called the toxic twins. They did write most of their music.
