Honestly, watching Spell Chronicle resolve is such a treat that I have no problem going X-8 at a regional as long as I get to +5 once. We're taking another look at Witchcrafter before the ETCO support - and through some form of witchcraft, it looks playable.

Just so you know, Spell Chronicle can be activated with no other cards in hand so Left Arm Offering is a great card to ensure you get it for the insane combo more often.

Just to give you a ruling for Spell Chronicle: The "send all cards in your hand to the grave" part is part of the effect and must therefore be resolved just as much as possible, but "not exact" as it would be with costs. If that part was the cost of the activation, then you'd need to send at least 1 card to the grave as costs normally cannot be zero. Spell Chronicle also profits from it's very old pre-PSCT card text, where there was no clarification of how many cards you need to send at least. Nowadays, the card would probably have a (minimum 1) clause, but since it's an old card, it doesn't have those clarifications and restrictions.

You don't need extravagance just play a small card engine to bait a spell negate

Words cannot describe how excited I was when I saw Spell Chronicle.
As a person who's been playing witchcrafter for the better part of a year, I feel like your list can be improved upon alot. Magician's restage is pretty great in the deck, since it can bring back magicians souls and then you can use souls to plus like hell searching magician's right hand. Since this allows you to summon more monsters, I would deffinately suggest playing selene (the endymion link) she can reborn your boss monsters as a quick effect.
Its absolutely shite in witchcraft if you want those 5+ as consistent as possible just run left arm
Or just dump a masterpiece with foolish burial and summon genie.

I don't see marincess being a meta contender even with the banlist. After seeing trif top with pendulums in current format with no electrumite and 1 servant I'm starting to think that the top decks will still be the top decks even with all those hits.
Feel like orcusts will take a drop in playing but salads and pendulums def are stronk
Salads, Orcust and Pends are still very strong but Striker and Thunder were absolutely murdered
Maybe @ignister has a shot? I imagine lady debug going to 3 should help Them quite a bit, and they haven't been Hurt by the banlist as far as i'm aware. (BTW: this is a genuine question, i'm curious what other people think)
@@tomfranck8821 they don't too weak to almost all hand traps and disruption going first is the same as well they are a mermicess deck 2.0 fun to play at locals but thats it
@@Frame206a apart from ogre (which no one is playing atm) how is it easy to handtrap. Now they play reflection at 3 you can normally get out a jackal without using any nescessary ash bait. Servant was the best ash target but now the deck doesn't depend on her... personally I think altergeist and guru control will be the main meta contenders but the other 3 will definitely stay in the meta game. Maybe we will see hero's creep in as well.

Cool thing to note; all the level 4 and lower Witchcrafters span all the Attributes save Light and Dark (which are covered by the big girls.) You could theoretically use them to go into the 4 Charmer Link 2's and climb into stuff like Topologic Trisbaena and such using your opponent's monsters, granted you decide to play all of them. Ash is so damn common and since you play Schmietta at 3, you have a good chance of pulling at least Hiita off.

My new favorite deck, the WitchCrafters, is now improved, very happy about the new support cards for the archetype.
Gotta say that Patronus and Chronicle Combo might just be what I need to play Witchcrafter without trying to play infernity strategy in a deck that's not infernity.
Anyways I wouldn't mind offering the meta duel with my @ignister code talker deck.

@@DerVasto no matter what the meta is, there's always going to decks that are annoying or unfair. At least witchcrafters have restrictions that are hopt. I don't see a problem with this deck IF it were to ever be top tier simply because of the hopt. The reason why sky striker was so annoying was because damn near ever card can be played multiple times and they can pretty much out anything AND have a better version of pof of greed. Witchcrafter is not that by a long shot
You misplayed at 7:20, should have kept the magicians souls for main phase 2 to draw annother card off of scroll (you still get it back in the end phase)

Maybe you could run Instant Fusion + Millennium-Eyes Restrict so you don't autodie to ash as often?

Why not play secret village ? Works pretty good in the deck imo. Some other options would be secret sanctuary or maybe magic gates of miracles...
Because those are cards that don't help this deck whatsoever. They already have consistency issues and are really sucseptible to handtraps, so cards that do nothing on their own, won't do Witchcrafters any good, except as discard fodder for the monster effects so playing them just for that purpose is bad
Andy4995 yeah ok I agree that’s true, but i don’t think that the deck in that inconsistent. Cause there are enough options to get out the boss monsters. But the handtrap point is true tho. Ash can kill your turn. What does help is reasoning. Gives you the chance to get another monster on board. Which seems to be the main problem of the deck
Not to mention like what he did to his opponent in his dark magician match up, if he loses his monster he won't be able to activate his spells. Don't want to end up in a situation where you can't resolve your witchcrafter reborn card or extravagance to get that spellcaster you need on board.
When are we going to see some HERO shenanigans or some Red Eyes Black Dragon burn?
Tbh Infinitrack ain't half bad with the new card that's making em hyperconsistent. They can easily make some crazy boards even tho they lose to things as simple as Apollousa.

Heavy Forward is the new archetypal monster searcher spell for Infinitrack that also doubles as a way to enable Spin Turn (ugh) or a way to supply material to revived XYZ monsters.

I've just beaten this witchcraft archetype deck with my Nordic deck on dueling nexus, with the help of red eyes dragoon. The best way to beat this deck is to bate the effect of that witchcraft monster that negates all face up monsters on the field with a monster like Thor then go into red eyes dragoon then negate the effect of the same witchcraft monster whilst in battle depending on if the witchcraft monster or other witchcraft monsters are in defence or attack mode and destroy the witchcraft monsters in battle even though it's a bit tough with the spell that protects the witchcraft monster.

I'm not thrilled with the build. I mean, yeah, it doesn't really use the Extra Deck, but I would still stick in some Super Poly/Instant Fusion targets. Also, I think the Bamboo engine works well with this deck.

Not sure you're giving Demonstration enough credit, unless I'm missing something, since it lets you summon a Crafter without giving up your NS and stonewalls Ash for the rest of the turn. I'm curious; why just play 1? I'd probably run 2-3, personally.
not even that demonstration is really awesome cuz lets u SS a crafter and than till the end of the turn ya (spellcaster) are chain immun to top it off the artwork says everything ya fu up when it resolves

It only negates monster effects on the field, stuff in the hand, grave, and with banished monsters all still works.

About Marincess. Why would anyone play the new link 4? It is supper slow and doesn’t provide the battle protection that the old one offers.
It provides draw power to try to get to Wave sooner. Its also bigger than Wonder Heart, gets even bigger, and during your turn can get back your banished Marincess, which banish quite a bit funny enough.
Tytear Wallace still don’t think it’s worth it. I know that only utopia and borrelsword would ever punch over it. But those are both cards that other decks commonly run. The extra attack is not worth it and the draw, while nice is just too slow to be worth the risk of getting OTKd by a borrelsword setup.

That deck will get for sure at least Tier 2 when the other cards get released in TCG. U don't believe?? Try it out or play against it.
