    Celestia has left khaenri'ah alone for thousands of years, and khaenri'ah did not shy from cursing the Devine,
    It was only when khaenri'ah almost brought total destruction to all of teyvat, that Celestia took action and what did Celestia do? They summoned the archons to HELP khaenri'ah fight the monsters
    Also tge the first pari descrips the khaenri'ah curse as a dark skinness, and she mentioned that dainslief, who is a full blooded khaenri'ahn, had half the body of a monster, which goes against what clothar says

      @@DawitsLookingforEmilia also, I see alot of people say that, khaenri'ah was destroyed for having advanced technology, despite the fact that we've Seen khaenri'ah robots in guizhong's domain, we know she studied khaenri'ah technology, which mean khaenri'ah had very advanced technology long before the archon war, which is when guizhong died, and the war was like, 2000ish years since the archon war, so khaenri'ah, not only was it a godless nation, but also had advanced technology for thousands of years,
      So why would Celestia attack them only five hundred years ago?
      If Celestia had a problem with khaenri'ah being godless or being advanced technologically, khaenri'ah would have been destroyed 1 day after it was founded

    I feel like the curse of the Hilichurls is of the same nature of the retribution from Delusions. Both have their roots in abyssal power after all.

  • @agopessimist1335
    @agopessimist1335 Před 6 měsíci +10

    Well, these are just some shower thoughts, but feel free to correct me.
    To my knowledge, since Unkko was able to see Sal Vinagnir fall via the Celestial Nail, it seems possible that maybe Hilichurls first appeared around the War of Vengeance. The same time as when Nibelung or another party brought the Abyss and Forbidden Knowledge to Teyvat.
    With how Abyssal power is called Forbidden Knowledge, and the fact that we saw an Abyss Lector in Clothar's memories before the Abyss Order even existed, it could be possible that Hilichurls first appeared during the War of Vengeance, and that anyone who had came into contact with the Abyss had been turned into them. Then the majority of them might have been killed off by the Celestial Nails.
    I believe there's a passage either in Elinas's memories or in a book which describes how there is some form of sentient life out there in the Abyss, but without form. It wasn't until Rhinedottir created bodies for them via Khemia did these Abyssal creatures gain form like with Durin and the Rifthounds. Not to mention how the Abyss seems to be antithetical to life and drastically mutates it.
    ALso, just look at Jacob of the Ordo. He was turned into a Lector by Rene using the Abyss, not because of Celestial magic. This seems to fly in the face that Hilichurls are cursed by Celestia.
    Furthermore, does Celestia even have the power to curse people? Or is it more accurate to say that they have the power to alter Fate? Dain does say that being cursed is like being tied to the Fate of the world.
    Celestia didn't curse Egeria for creating humans from Oceanids. They just made a prophecy to punish her, rather than turn the newly created humans into Hilichurls. Plus, you're correct in pointing out how Hilichurls are tied to the Abyss, and the Primordial One wouldn't be using Abyssal powers.
    Something isn't quite adding up. Perhaps the Khaenri'ans were indeed cursed, but only with Immortality. Why? Who can say? Maybe this was to stall or stop their transformation into Hilichurls? It seems like a pointless curse when they could live for hundreds of years and still practice Abyssal magic.
    Not to mention Pierro puts a lot of the blame on the Khaenri'ans and the Sages and King who didn't listen to his warnings.
    Also, this is another crack theory, but what if the Sustainer aka Possible 2nd Descender/Shade (Personally I'm leaning to the theory that the Sustainer is the 2nd Descender and not the Shade of Space but I could easily be wrong), was the one responsible for cursing Khaenri'ah, and the Fatui/Cryo Archon's beef with the Heavenly Principles is with her and not Phanes? Phanes seems to have been completely out of the loop on all affairs after he was wounded in the War of Vengeance, and based on the Flower Goddess's accounts the only harm the Primordial One did personally was to send the Nails down, and we know that this was done to mend the world, not to genocide humanity. Remember, this was the same Primordial One who sent Enkanomiya down during the War of the 2nd throne.
    Come to think of it, Celestia punishing Orobaxi could have been to potentially stop any Enkanomiyan from trying to rebel against Celestia again. After all, both the Fatui and Nibelung rebel in part because both are aware that Phanes is an outsider.
    TLDR: Hilichurls are born because of Abyss, not Celestia. Doesn't make sense for a Descender who doesn't use AByssal forces. Also, Asmoday (2nd descender or Shade of Space) may be the one responsible for cursing Khaenri'ans with Immortality and is the one Cryo Archon/Fatui are trying to rebel against. Phanes still sleeping.

    Honestly i agree with a lot of what’s here.
    It’s easy to blame khanrea when all we hear are khanrea POV’s or people who oppose celestia. Meanwhile celestia + heavenly principles have apparently been dormant in its current capacity for 500 years and cant exactly explain shit to us.
    Realistically it seems unlikely that a body of gods set up by the primordial one creator of humans would decide to suddenly be murderous towards the people they were presumably set in place to protect.
    There’s so much we still dont know but imho the evidence is there that celestia isnt some supremely hostile entity but rather some scapegoat accused of such acts by the only people who stand to gain anything: the sinner and the abyss order.
    The sinner is an immensely powerful abyss aligned entity who has had the past 500 years to unite the khanrean stragglers that they might’ve cursed to empower and rally them against a dormant celestia. The entity that also has the ability to partially “lift” a supposedly “celestial” curse in the case of caribert. While said entity pushes the world to its end where he presumably may be freed from his bindings. As seen by his statement that he was there from the beginning and will be there at the end.
    Thats my take on it at least.

    We know Hilichurals are abbysal in nature and Celestia is at war with abbys.
    Celestial nail, irminsul too absorbs abbysal energy and convert it into a form compatible with Teyvat [ roots of tree extends to abbys].
    We know according to some notes by Khaenri'ans themselves people who escaped to surface first {away from roots of tree} suffered from worst form of corruption i.e., Hilichuralisation. Those who got out later suffered from lesser form immortality.
    If it is so then it will explain both early Hilichurals and Economia. Some people turned into Hilichurals so Primordial one block Economians to prevent then from turning into Hilichurls. By the time there descendants got too surface Irminsol had already neutralised the effects of abbysal energy. In case of Khaenri'ans it didn't had time to work with the curse.
    That is to say Pure Blooded thing do not show us a full picture. It should be noted that Dainsleif a full blooded Khaenri'an has half of his body turned into monster.

      @DawitsLookingforEmilia  Před 6 měsíci +4

      huhhh. thats interesting way to think about it, so in your eyes the people were corrupted with enough forbidden knowledge to the point that celestia had to curse them?
      My only problems with this are again King Deshrets kingdom which so far as we know never saw anyone turn into hilichurls, and the fact that the curse was apparently selective in nature, only affecting the half bloods.
      For instance it doesnt really make sense that caribert was somehow more exposed to forbidden knowledge then someone like dainsleif who presumably was fighting on the front line

  • @kotarouinugami1745
    @kotarouinugami1745 Před 6 měsíci +2

    I may have read too much "What are you doing at the end of the world...", but I have an idea that being a hilichurl isn't a curse. It's the natural state of what seem to be humans. All the hilichurls we meet, are just disconnected from whatever pushes them to look like humans.
    Alternate humans, such as Fontainians and pure-blood Kaenri'ans, are immune to that. And I guess vishap-people are also immune, as are any human-shaped gods or adepti.
    How are Samachurls able to use elements? That's how things should be. The elements are present in Teyvat from before Primordial One came, and dragons were using them just fine. Hell, even Treasure Hoarders can use elements if they're bottled up in potions. Hilichurls are just using more advanced form of that technology (maybe not as advanced as what Fatui get). Maybe hilichurls even suffer backlash like with Delusions, but they don't care, because they're immortal.

    • @DawitsLookingforEmilia
      @DawitsLookingforEmilia  Před 6 měsíci +8

      ur correct. however until we learn more about how the curse is applied its a bit unfair to that. Because its either celestia lined up all the suriviors in khaenriah and cursed them one by one, or just took action and applied a curse that affected the entire nation without considering how it affects every single person individually, similar to how khaneriah took their own action to overthrow celestia, without considering how it affects every single person in teyvat, resulting in the deaths in many.
      Furthermore this could be a form of exemplary punishment, a punishment so severe it deters others from doing the same act.

    • @alejandrolam7397
      @alejandrolam7397 Před 6 měsíci

      @@DawitsLookingforEmilia i could see the argument of exemplary punishment, how ever it is very hard for me to buy it because of the fact that not really much people even know about Khaenri’ah, and their mention is more about “Khaenri’ah was destroyed because Calestia was jelous” an exemplary punishment that is not even remembered then is kinda useless. It give more the impression that they ere trying to completely genocide the Khaenri’ah people to make sure there was no way for Forbidden Knowledge to be spread.

    Actually I have a different theory about what the forbidden knowledge is.
    When you play Furinas story (legend quest) there is a actors group who do a theater musical.
    And the one they are doing could be a parody to what happened to the goddess of flowers.
    So the musical is about an oceanid girl, and the townspeople did something bad and the water is gone so they say it has to he the oceanid girl who took the water.
    And then the ending of the musical reminded me of the goddess of flowers.
    (now I don't want to spoil that for ppl who haven't played furinas quest yet)
    So I thought the forbidden knowledge could be something like the people hated the GOF and it is known that she died from sacrificing herself to save the people and land.
    So it could be forbidden knowledge but it doesn't explain why the people got sick and bad things happened - Unless the people just blaimed the GOD of beeing the cause.
    And we know from sumeru and fontaine quest that stories aren't allways what they seem, that's why I thought of it.
    In the musical the oceanid girl Clio also has a lover, and I see some parallells cause King Deshret seems to have been in love with the Goddess od Flowers.
    About the Hilichurls I am starting to think if Kaenriah just turned Hilichurls into humans, or if they (by accident) made them immortal.
    Also I think that Columbina/Zariza are trying to revive a previous descender who is a lover of one of them.
    And that the secret knowledge is inside the gnosis.
    If the theory about samsara is true or if teyyvat is asleep, then the secret knowledge could be that, and only the archons know, and the humans got sick or catastrophies happened cause they were dreaming and then that causes that?

    5:45 Gurabad isn't a small city it's the biggest city under Deshret. it's the one that the historian of Remuria references for example. Although granted, Liloupar seems to be the proximal cause of the Hilichurlification and not Deshret. It's possible that Gurabad Hillichurls are one of the older tribes of Hillichurl that precede the Eclipse tribe of the Cataclysm (most likely Sleeper tribe).
    The main point against it being a punishment is that nobody seems to know it's a punishment as it's happening. Instead it gets called a disease by various witnesses to it 500 years ago and the Gurabad people. But if you were punishing someone for something you'd make sure they knew what you were punishing them for or there's no point. It's not like Celestia is stand off-ish; they communicate directly. If the curse was for doing X everyone would have been told "don't do X" and then "this is what you get for doing X". Plus we've seen this before with Nails being thought to be a punishment and in fact not being.
    Instead the "curse" seems to be a form of human evolution along the axis of the neohumans, similar to the various abyss Order beings, Childe, Arlecchino, Cater, Enjou, Klingsor, the Black Serpent Knights and the Fortune Lector.

They very well may represent imaginary and quantum energy, and both the imaginary tree and sea of quanta in Genshin are packed full of Honkai energy. Honkai energy is also known to be very corruptive and turn people into monsters. It is also known to create monsters and turn people into herrschers. It would not be surprising if Celestia is like the not insane side of genshins Honkai energy, and they’ve been preventing Honkai eruptions all along by sending nails down to teyvat. Only for them to suffer a Honkai eruption themselves(ironic isn’t it if it’s true) resulting in the hov looking sustainer of heavenly principles or the island itself becoming a herrscher and controlling the sustainer.
