vids a day late, but what can I say was enthralled in all the arlecchino gameplay and animations and boss leaks we were getting, and felt the urge to 100% chenyu vale to ensure I have enough primos to get both arlecchino and her weapon, cause drip is eternal. anyone know what arlecchinos build is? her kit to long to digest rn, but idk if she has a new set or not. really tried to avoid bringing up alrecchino leaked info in this vid, cause there some obvious things going on here lol. anyway talking about dainsleif and the new perinheri book that dropped in genshin impact patch 4.5, which gave us some rather large lore dumps regarding the truth about the khaenriah cataclsym and the curse of the wilderness. I hardely touched on it but I like the genshin theory that the crimson moon is infact a dynasty. if dainsleif and our sibiling kept this info from what us, I wonder what other truths they wont tell us.

I think there is only one area where Dainsleif would be definitely stronger than the Sibling. Dainsleif surely has more pull in Kaenri'ah politics. Even with the Sibling being a "princess".
And so, Sibling might be unhappy that Dain did not prevent the higher-ups from somehow triggering the Cataclysm.

@@EthHawke94Indeed, it seems that the Sibling had significant influence in Kaenri'ah. But being from an established aristocratic clan and with a proper position, Dainsleif was at least comparable to her. More importantly, it is likely that his information network was better, while an outsider like the Sibling did not know or understand Kaenri'ah much.
Still, arguing about Kaenri'ah's politics is quite pointless, considering how little we know about it. I'm just suggesting a possible reason for the Sibling to blame Dainsleif.

When Clothar describes the people being inflicted with the curse he says 'they were struck with the curse as they fled'. This perfectly aligns with the concept that the people fleeing Khaenriah re-entered the dominion of the seven and were struck down by it. I suggest a possible alternative, though: that being the seven arriving and cleansing Khaenriah extended their influence to Khaenriah, removing that blindspot and causing the curse to afflict people in Khaenriah.

    • @DawitsLookingforEmilia
      @DawitsLookingforEmilia  Před 3 měsíci +22

first of all you have to take EVERYTHING written with a grain of salt, this "angelica" is by no means telling the truth about everything. I'm think perin might actually be the "captain" since he was nigh on undefeatable in khaenriah's time, and he saw his best friend "mutated" by what he was told was a god's vengeance for abandoning their god. This gives him ample reason to go against the "gods" and join the fatui. Angelica is definitely an entity either allied with the "sinner" or controlled by him, hell bent on escaping fate which they call 'freedom". The jester also having seen the end of the eclipse dynasty and the destruction of khaenriah is of similar thoughts but I doubt this is perin himself as perin seemed more a warrior. (and if the story is right from another world, just NOT a descender)
We know (deus auri) zhongli fought and won against MANY gods during the archon war, angelica could be a minion of one of these maybe even the one who had xiao's "controlled" . As for freedom itself, it's always a double edged sword. Freedom to choose is great, but not everyone's choices are altruistic, selfish choices often lead to others downfall if not their own, and possibly the fall of an entire civilization.

If forsaking your gods turns you into a hillichurl, that only makes pure blooded khaenri'ahns more suspicious. They are either:
    - Not created by the Primordial One (or they would have turned into hillichurls for turning their back to them)
    - Evolved vishaps (the ones in Enka like living in the dark so...)
    - The offspring of a Descender or someone from Celestia (those sparkly starry eyes)
We could argue that well, Dain referred to khaenri'ahns as humans and since they apparently never had a god, they were betraying no one BUT we know that before the Primordial One, no humans lived in Teyvat and even if people like Hleobrant, who didn't personally forsake any god had ancestors who did, they'd be cursed equally.
There's also the possibility that the Curse of Wilderness was cast AFTER Khaenri'ah's divorce from Celestia and since they were the first children of the heavens, they were immune to the curse.
This last one would explain why, despite being atheists, they can't stop plastering the star of Ishtar everywhere or how Khaenri'ah is just "Traitor of the Winds" in Arabic.
The Crimson Moon? It's either Celestia or the Cocoon of Finality, idk.

im curious what you mean khaenriahs divorce from celestia?
Although do u raise a good point about why those founding khaenriahns and pure blooded ones dont suffer from the curse. we know the kingdom was founded around the time of the fall of sal vindagnyr, by which people had already developed a less then favorable position on celestia due to the nails

    • @Sara-xz8yr
      @Sara-xz8yr Před 3 měsíci +24

@@DawitsLookingforEmilia oh by divorcing Celestia I meant cutting ties with them/forsaking them. Like how Enkanomiya used to worship the Primordial One and had divine envoys before getting knocked down under the sea, which made them worship only Istaroth after that.
There's still a lot of things we don't know about khaenri'ahns and it's fun to speculate but with Perinheri I had the chilling realization that we don't know where these people came from. They like to separate themselves from everything and everyone in Teyvat that they are starting to look too sinister for my liking.

for the Crimson Dynasty and Eclipse Dynasty one, in the book, near the end, there is additional notes abt it, where its stated that the Crimson Dynasty were already playing with Alchemy/Khemia and have already created Riftwolf, but in the Eclipse Dynasty, those alchemy practice were left behind because mechanical engineering were trendy in those days. which is interesting, since despite it being left behind, alchemy still is a big part of khaenriah's fall.
in a hidden world quest Pursuit, we find a 'Log' left by Jakob in ???, it stated there that the Universitas Magistrorum could invert even the alchemical stages, which made me think that this is the reason the Alchemy stage given by Albedo is Red than Gold, rather than the opposite, but invert could also mean turning back something to its pure form. the Universitas Magistrorum exist in the time of the story, and from the text we could assume they live in the time of the Crimson Dynasty, soo what happened to the Universitas Magistrorum in the time of the Eclipse Dynasty?

I think Angelica has to be literally what she states to be at the end: just the idea of freedom and unlinking yourself from fate and the ruling of the world. She's mostly a metaphor the author uses for that. When Perinheri starts seeing her "trueself" it states she's "neither a beautiful woman from Liyue nor a wicked witch". And then, he sees nothing in front of him.
What happened there, I feel is that Hleobrant represents Khaenri'ah's ambition of getting freed from Heavenly Principles, and how he went mad going after it, not really just seeking a pretty girl. By the end, Perinheri is the one who gets the true "freedom" as Angelica states.

Deus Auri in the text: what the fuck am I even doing here 😭
Also, spot on. After the Fontaine AQ I started wondering whether the Curse was somehow like the prophecy: rather than a punishment, it was the result of transgressing an agreement/contract/clause Celestia, the *rules of this world*, had for the human realm to follow the path meant for them, to protect them, prevent them from venturing into the unknown and uncalculated.
When you mentioned the orphanage trying to find the Descenders, doesn't it suddenly remind you of how Celestia itself is selecting humans to ascend to ''Godhood'' through their system of Hallogenes?
One last thing, the fact that people who ''betrayed their gods'' were cursed to turn into monsters Kind of both throws me back to Liyue and Inazuma AQ.
One of the main drivers for the abdication of Rex Lapis was how voices were rising amongst high-ranking society figures in Liyue citizens in demand of sharing his power over governing themselves. Your theory makes sense in this context, because maybe had his presumed death not happened, they would have sooner or later started to disobey him ? therefore a Liyue who believes their God is dead bears no sin over betraying him. After all, in the last lines of the AQ, he had a very strange voice line where he hints that a certain someone was behind the idea of ceding power to humans, this line still haunts me.
And before anybody comes at me about Inazuma though, Watastsumi Island might be a different case because their original God wasn't Ei, and even if that logic applies to them as well, they somehow are not considered traitors because they challenged the shogun and not Ei, and because they rebelled against the vision hunt decree who goes against the will of the heavens.

Another very interesting thing about "Perinheri".
I've read that in the Traditional Chinese version of the book Perinheri's gender changes depending on which Traveller you pick.
I was unable to find which way exactly (whether Perinheri is the same gender as the Traveller or the opposite), so that's for someone who knows the language to confirm.
I personally think Perinheri corresponds with the Abyss twin, since they "cannot shoulder the world", but this is pure speculation on my part.
Edit: Okay, I've checked it (with both male and female Traveler) and Perinheri's gender is the same as the Traveler. So my speculation was wrong... Interesting.
Edit: the Sage's gender also changes and is the same as the Traveler.
Also, another interesting thing of note. The curse only seems to catch up to Khaenri'ahns when they leave Khaenri'ah. Hleobrant transformed when the three of them left.

a person who is immortal can't just be called a god just cause he's strong or so. The person who created or sustains this word is called god. Maybe hoyoverse is telling us that worshiping these fake gods is considered a sin and just like real life they will burn. not by real flames but rather the flames of suffering. I mean why would you be punished such way other than dying directly or being a direct example of what happens to a person who defies a god but apperently celestia and other gods decided not to tell anybody that the hilichruls and other monsters were old kanrhiean. Something is wrong. In dainslif charecter card it said the primordial one (aka celestia) overthgrew the catheclism. So, the primordial one actually saved everyone from the wierd experements of kanrhia. So, in short, the people from khanria isn't cursed by the celestia but rather for some other cause. I don't think the primordial one is a main villain or so. I think the unknown god is goanna be one of the final villains but she isn't evil. Maybe she got cursed too since it can be seen throw her other arm. Maybe there is another greater power which is using the name of celestia to ruin everything and controll everyone and this evil villain is the one who controlls abyss inclusding out twin sister/brother and the unknown god. Or the unknown god for some reason knew about the fate of tayvat so she decided to halt we both siblings so we can save the world before she her self looses controll and get's corrupted.

my point is that the person who is the final villain is not the primordial one. Just like a zombi apoclyps, the primordial one and the unknown god must have been affected. But even then there remains the question why the arcons have demon names. I think the primordial one is like a strict king who won't tolarate diorder and there is a bad reputation of him and the arcons are missunderstanding something that's worth calling them a demon.
I think the final villain is none other than the abyss itself. I think the power of the abyss has a physical manufastation.@@DawitsLookingforEmilia

I don't think the knoledge itself is a curse. The word forbidden means it's not allowed for a cetain reasons. Not like it's impposible to be used in a proper cause. The people in tayvat is created by the primordial one so we can say that the people living there is flawed being cause they are not true humens like from earth. On the other hand aether is from a different world. Could be eath but he's not a being from tayvat. For that sake I think the forbidden knowledge is some short of complex power which is too much for a flwed being from tayvat to handle. Even then we saw rukadavata and king deshret handle it so it's safe to assume that it has less to do with a being's capablity and more about how powerful you are. I think later it'll be revealed that the forbidden knowledge is just another kind of power beyound tayvat that is too much for people from there to handle so it's forbidden. If you remember that old khanrian tried to summon powers beyound tayvat using their method of alchamy. Maybe there is a reason they were suffering. Maybe they got into unfair buisness with the primordial one so they tried to summon a power from beyound tayvat and along with it came our abyss sibling along with the forbidden knoledge and the curse of abyss turning people into monsters. Our abyss sibling saw how desperate people were and how they tried to fight their best even with destiny. I don't know anything about the destiny consept but there's definetely goanna be something related to irminsul or time travel. And when our sibling found his or her way of judgement they decided to take a step just like when we see someone abusing the weak our judgement hits us and tells us to take a step to save that person.@@zelktheinvader7874

It sounds to me like the space in which Khanrhea existed (which would also be the space that is known as Teyvat at this point.) seems to be some sort of prison. If the curse works indiscriminately based on those who forsake their god, then most likely all those who have a fate or a constellation are susceptible to the curse of the wild. It also seems to me like the crimson Moon which was also an I might actually be some kind of being who is overseeing or observing Teyvat.
If we do not count the archons as gods, then those who stand above the archons in terms of power are likely "the ones who could transcend gods"
Some thoughts that come to mind are,
The Abyssal portal from the Khaverina quest
The fable of the genesis pearl
And lastly, the fascinating nuance that each nation has its own vision encasing, despite the idea that elemental authority, might not even come from the archon of that nation.

Yeah Neohumanism is pretty old. The earliest native mass Hilichurlification recorded is Gurabad. Maybe v4.6 will reveal something similar with Remuria. But if the Vile Transformation is indeed an example of Neohumanism, as seems likely, and if Surtalogi came across with the 2nd (or is the 2nd) then he may have been studying that stuff even before coming to Teyvat. But Gurabad feels like 7-8000 years ago.
I don't know about the fictional Angelica's take on Neohumanism though. Pissing off gods seems to be the go-to answer to everything that goes wrong in Teyvat as far as the humans go. Bump your toe? You must have sinned against and then been cursed by the god of toe nails. Every time anything happens it's "the gods are angry". Meanwhile it turns out the god has been asleep 500 years and didn't give a shit even when they were awake.
What god did Gurabad forsake? Pure blooded Khaenri'ahns didn't have a god to forsake. And if the "sin" carries on down the generations how come Kaeya's family is OK and the descendants of Hadura? Did Ukko forsake his god? because it feels like the other way around. Which god did Jakob forsake? Childe? Skirk? The student of Guhua who became a Lawachurl?
As for the Crimson Moon being both before and after... meh. I mean I just figure the book is wrong. Otherwise you're looking at a Planet of the Apes / Day of the Triffid scenario, except silly instead of cool. Khaenri'ahns used to have Rifthounds as their beasts of burden and cavalry, to ride into battle on, and then with the invention of the robots the Rifthounds fell out of use so... they boxed them all up for 4000 years? and then the Rifthounds all escaped and killed everyone (hence Crimson Moon swallowing Dark Sun)? That's about as daft as saying human civilization will be destroyed by horses who are still salty that automobiles replaced them all.
Anyway there's a problem with this book really being a Khaenri'ahn legend: if it was then all the Khaenri'ahns fleeing the Cataclysm wouldn't have been surprised about turning into Hilichurls when they surfaced. Also the book itself goes out of its way to mention some Khaenri'ahns left and returned to the underground kingdom on business. So why didn't they become Hilichurls? In short how could Khaenri'ahns possibly be unaware of this "curse" if it triggers that easily?
When a girl who is the love interest is then said by the author to really be "freedom" that sounds like a metaphor. It's a fictional book. The Khaenri'ahn dude seeks freedom but doesn't get it. The star child alien dude does not seek freedom but finds it anyway. Sounds like a metaphor for outlanders being free of Teyvat's fate system.
As for the Arlecchino connection.... I find it funny that the same people who think Arlecchino must be 20-30 years old because she was a kid when she supposedly killed the last "Arlecchino" also think she's connected to this legendary period (fictional) from a sort of Arthurian Khaneri'ah of 4000+ years ago. Wow. Make up your minds guys. I still think she'll be about 500.
It's Arthurian because of the connections with the real world lore poem (basically it's King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table fanfic by a 15th century Italian) and because it inserts this crazy idea of Knightly Khaenri'ahns riding around on the back of Rifthounds and fighting over the romance with a pretty princess. Although that at least is cool. Would these knights be able to teleport like the Rifthounds do?

    • @DawitsLookingforEmilia
      @DawitsLookingforEmilia  Před 3 měsíci +13

To the arlecchino point, I mean either 500 or 4000 still doesnt really solve the issue of her being a kid at the house of the hearth, both are egregious ages nonetheless.
Also Im fairly certain LARGE majorities of the khaenriahns werent aware of the curse or didnt believe it was anything more then a "story" within the actual khaenriahn fable that perinheri is based off. The curse of the wilderness only affects those, whose family forsook their gods and fled to khaenriah to start anew, however once they remerge from the kingdom unto to teyvat, they appear to be stricken with the curse.
Khaenriahns did not like going outside the kingdom. at all. they refered to anything above them as "another world", and even their king, had to be taught about the outisde using metaphors, because hed never seen the sky. I can think of a few examples of pure blood khaenriahns venturing into teyvat, with the most notable being the diplomats trying to steal before sun and moon from enkanomiya, but that was AGES ago.
We dont know enough about the curse of immortality to state why some khaenriahns who left the kingdom before the catacyslm werent affected with a curse but its clear theres more to the picture then just "the gods cursed them soon after the cataclysm ended" Just as their was more to the truth about the curse of the wilderness.

About rifthound-riding knights, yes, rifthounds open up portals that others can pass through. Thus, I expect them to be able to take a rider with them too. Which is very cool, and I'd like to see it in the game.
About the lawachurl, isn't he just a random lawachurl who sits on a training field? Did I miss something about him?
Kaeya's family are descendants of pure-blooded Alberich clan. They do risk immortality, but they do not risk turning into hilichurls. It is not clear what would happen if they were to marry ordinary surface-dwellers.

You're saying that because some people frivolously associate bad luck with the gods, then there is absolutely never a divine curse handed out, despite all indications to the contrary...? You're suggesting the book itself is useless, Clothar can't be trusted when he says everyone was cursed, and even Dainsleif and the Abyss Twin cannot be trusted, because they ALSO say that the Khaenriahns were cursed as punishment.
The logical conclusion is that this curse, as it is universally applied, is a "law" of Teyvat, likely applied by the Heavenly Principles. I'm not sure why you're bringing Childe or Skirk into this discussion. Are they hilichurls? You're lumping all demihuman creatures or people who are in any way changed or touched by the abyss (or anything else) in with hilichurls specifically to make it seem more ridiculous.
The answer to why the Khaenriahns who left on business didn't turn into hilichurls can be as simple as 'only purebloods left'. They didn't leave often, and when they did they usually were doing something important, and we can see that the purebloods were higher in authority and importance than the non-purebloods to the point where it was extremely shameful to mingle romantically. Given how isolationist and mistrusting they were, it could easily be a rule that part of moving to Khaenriah is that you don't leave (this may have once been rooted in the knowledge that leaving Khaenriah once you betray your original master will get you cursed, and then forgotten over time)
As for Guhua, we can assume the one that the lawachurl forsook was Rex Lapis, because he was of Liyue. You suggest this like it's somehow preposterous, but there's no reason to believe that. Also, given the fact that Guhua itself is actually following an adeptus who ascended to the stars, it could also be that followers of Guhua are registered as being followers of Guhua (the name of the adaptus) and forsaking the path of Guhua is what triggers the curse. We don't know, but you act as if it's somehow preposterous.
Kaeya is a descendant of Aberforth and Clothar, both of whom are purebloods. We know nothing of Kaeya's family other than himself. If he's a pureblood then he has no allegiance to anyone and needs no allegiance to anyone to avoid the curse. If he's not, then he serves Venti whose rules are "there are no rules, there will be no hilichurls on my watch". Kaeya's clearly hiding things himself anyway, including why he wears that eyepatch.

@@Thedarkbunnyrabbit We certainly know Clothar and Dainsleif are afflicted with something. Neither of them seems like the type to know much about gods and their curses. At most, they "know enough to be dangerous", although I am not sure how it works with knowledge about gods.
So for all we know, pure-blood Kaenri'ah people could be cursed by the Sibling themselves. Or their immortality could be the result of unethical experiments of Kaenri'ah's sages, who found a way to mess with fate or something.

Now I've got to wonder when exactly the "curse of the wilderness" came into effect and its mechanisms. We know from other aspects of lore that there are people who have turned on their gods--Decarabian, Havrata, etc--without becoming Hilichurls. So why did the people of Mondstadt escape the curse? Even if the rebelling population was no longer loyal to Decarabian... their ancestors at one point were and this curse seems to be tied to bloodline. Was it because they adopted Barbatos? Had they never cursed Decarabian the way the Khaenrhi'ahns may have cursed their own gods? In Havrata's case... did it only count for those who conspired to kill her and were therefore the most likely to be caught up in her death?
And Teyvat in general has many cases of people who are loyal to gods who are long dead... Is this not just a case of cultural heritage, but a possible sign that the people of Teyvat are aware, on some level, of the curse of the wilderness and therefore very careful about turning on their gods?

One of the things that strikes me the most is that according to the book nobody remembers anymore that if you are not from Kahenriah if you go out you become a Hilichurl, how do you hide that in a population as large as Kaheriah seems to be? Maybe you can't really get out once you get in? The thing I think is that the only surviving books or writings are those that are heavily edited and passed off as fantasy stories. I take serious issue with the idea that the curse happens to anyone who betrays their god. By this logic all these people would be hilichurls:
salt guild members mentioned in Zhonglis quest they literally stabbed there god and it clearly stated there were survivors whom that girl was a descendant of. It also clearly states the curse follows your descendants so there is no excuse that girl and all her family should be hilichurls,
Everyone one of the followers of gods Zhongli defeated. It is clealry stated that the girl in the story had her god defeated by Zhongli but didnt become a hilichurl because she never betrayed them. This means everyone who followed Zhongli betrayed their god from previous gods should be hilichurls.
Everyone who betrayed Decarabian. Another clear case direct murder of their god.
The sages who literally tried to create a new god and knowingly imprisoned their old one.
Don't even get me started on the harbingers the ones from other nations betrayed their gods before they joined the fatui, for most in fact it was why they were invited.
Everyone from the desert who now follows the dendro archon.
Everyone from Inazuma (not watatsumi) who joined the resistance.
Whatever is going on with Thoma and people who moved to other nations.
And Natlan just sounds like the biggest issue with this thing we know the "children of Murata" were exiled and that it is currently a "nation of dragons" considering Nuevs ideas about the usurper it may well be a nation of hilichurls... actually this ironically would make a lot of things fit like the lack of Natlan NPCs, oh they were there, apparently, hiding in plain sight.

"Chalk pursuing gold" is indeed Rhinedottir and Albedo adjacent, but I think it's more directly a reference to the four stages of alchemy.
And the primary GOAL of alchemists like Rhinedottir is to pursue the "magnum opus" of the fourth stage of alchemy (likened by some to be the philosopher's stone). Khaen'riah, for some reason, had the fourth stage and third stages of alchemy (rubedo and citrinitas, or red and gold) reversed...
I think what this is suggesting is that the people of Khaen'riah could be likened to chalk, seeking out the "gold" of true descenders, those with the potential to transcend the gods. Maybe this is even why they had the third and fourth stage swapped? Because the people of Khaen'riah wanted humans to transcend gods, who likely would have been considered the "rubedo" stage in traditional alchemy.
You could also liken the "crimson moon dynasty" to rubedo and the "black-sun dynasty" to nigredo (the second stage of alchemy), but since the black-sun dynasty was the final one of Khaen'riah, I'm not sure what that could mean.
Or maybe I'm reading *WAY* too much into alchemy for lore clues.
Either way, now we must wonder for what purpose Khaen'riah tried to find true descenders. That orphanage in the story is almost assuredly the House of the Hearth, or perhaps the original form of it, which makes me question exactly what the Fatui truly are.
Since we know that the place Lumine first arrived in Teyvat was Khaen'riah... perhaps they thought she was the descender they sought.
Also note: Khaen'riah could technically be said to be in the Abyss. At the very least, on the outside of Teyvat. It's "below" Teyvat because Teyvat is technically... upside-down.

Angelica is probably only a personification of Freedom, else that last line would be meaningless: ,,There was nothing but empty land before him“. She hasn’t disappeared in a literal sense, as she never really „was“ at all. Perinheri mistakes her first for a princess, which symbolizes his worship of her and later as an „evil witch“ expressing frustration and anger following his desperate pursuit of freedom. Finally, when he comes to understanding, his eyes open and he sees true, not a person, not good, not bad, just vast emptiness.
Personally this reminded me of a famous quote by Sartre who said that „we are condemned to freedom“, meaning first of all that you ARE free (fact) but whatever you do with that is inevitably up to you alone. So in this „vast emptiness“ one may despair or find endless opportunity…
However I do think that Angelica is being used to subtly allude to a couple of more interesting concepts and ideas and maybe even people (?) here. In no particular order and because I’m lazy I think of: Freedom VS fate, Arlecchino, relation of and to the Teyvatian gods

The thing is it's not just the abandoning your god the Crimson moon is talked about as a eye that looks down upon all creatures demise(the moon is being used as a mataphor because it's always seen during calamities)
The Crimson Moon is something that few dynasties worship and eclipse Dynasty from khaenri'ah being one of them, the adults in different world send their children's to a narrow dark place where they are constantly asked if they have seen something or not the kid says finally after so long said yes adults took him out and said you have been reborn
(Is it referring to crimson moon blessing?)
According to this book(which is kost likely a mataphor of a book make so it's records isn't deleted) is quewtioned by the author as a fictional book because no one can claim it's real but during arlecchino drip showcase they revealed her theme of balemoon/evil moon
(Yes im connecting the 2 together)
Anyways what im trying to say is the Crimson moon is probably what brings the destruction of said civilizations and marking a curse on those who left the surface as the moon is only available in khaenri'ah/borderline abyss
It's probably the only moon which bless the people with destruction unlike the abyssal moon which gives blessing to fight and surface moon which bless people with peace and memories

    @ZiprealFPE Před 3 měsíci +2

I don't think they lied. It was us who misinterpreted what they said. We thought the gods came and put a curse on them.
The truth is even worse - the gods have arranged this world in such a way that people are forced to worship them. No free will. Isn't that the curse of the gods?
I think the Khaenriah had some kind of device that allowed to maintain a human appearance without worshipping the gods. Humans had a choice to worship the gods or not. When the gods attacked Khaenriah they destroyed this device. This device is most likely what is called the Loom of Fate or the Arrogance of mankind.
Sibling probably blamed Dain for not securing this device as a result, people turned into monsters.
We could think that Sibling was the one who helped to create this device because we don't really know when exactly they arrived. Nothing is said about this anywhere in the game. This is also consistent with what Chlotar said about the Sibling being their hope.
Perhaps Khaenriah was working on creating a device so powerful it would cover the entire planet. So they looked for new sources of energy. Perhaps this was the trigger to attack them.

As some others have said here too, I think Angelica is most likely supposed to be personified freedom. This is a story, not an accurate historical depiction - so it wouldn't be out of the question that Angelica isn't a real person but rather the idea of freedom itself.
Something that Hleobrandt was obssessed over and died for while Perinheri was skeptical and at some point had wanted to snuff his friends ambitions out since he knew they were lofty. And in the end, Perinheri, the person who never sought freedom, was granted it.
Side note, the whole like "abandon their god" cursed them thing - it reminded me of skirks lines about ties turning to curses lol idk if it really has any relevance at all though 😂

Does this imply that Kaeya's mother (since probably his father was the Pure-blooded Khaenrian) was from Mondstadt and never turned her back against Venti? Cause Kaeya is at best half-Khaenrian and that means he should be a hilichurl by now...
Since he is not... it means Kaeya was left in Mondstadt on purpose, since as long as he never betrays Venti, he is still human....
I don't like the fact that this might imply (knowing Hoyoverse) that Kaeya will betray the Anemo God (and Mondstadt) in the future... especially if Kaeya's father has some kind of plan involving Kaeya somehow
