I think Ei is older than ganyu and even the other adepti- given the fact that the archon war started in inazuma over 2500 and she seemed pretty mature and we can say that gods stop aging after a while we can say that she was already abt 1000 years old and Ei was alive for the ALL of the point- but we also know that life was peaceful before that and Kitsune saiguu had abt 9 tails or close to that meaning she was over 900 years old to which she may have known Ei for half or more than half of that age putting Ei at round 3600+ and if we’re being technical she did fight the puppet for 500 years putting her at around 4100+ but eh idk

Hell you've been alive long enough to have had stars be born and die in your life time even if you only count the stars in this galaxy. There's about 100 billion stars in the Milky Way. The difference is you never saw it happen because they were all too far away, so you can't really be said to have witnessed it. Having said that there have been two Earth visible supernovae since 1604, so you wouldn't have to be all that old to be able to say you've witnessed the deaths of stars plural. Witnessing the births is harder as it's less spectacular. But you get the idea. You don't have to be all THAT old in cosmic terms. As for Kapatcir I assume between Azhdaha and Neuvillette. Azhdaha says straightforwardly that he's older than the oceans. On earth the oceans formed about 3.8 billion years ago, which is presumably about how old Neuvillette is, but rock formed a little earlier. While we don't know the numbers for Teyvat this is a reasonable way to approximate things. As such with life forming almost as soon as the oceans, Apep would be about 3.7 billion too.

The oldest beings on Teyvat are the Sovereign Dragons. Apep is the only confirmed one to still be alive, and Neuvillette is a reincarnation of the Hydro Dragon so he is much younger. Let's see if Hoyoverse decides to add another living original sovereign

Alright. As usual I will put down my answers before watching the video. (1) Azhdaha, Neuvillette, Apep - I'll just put them all down together. Couple of billion years old each. Neuvillette is a bit senile and has trouble remembering his older lives. It should be noted that for all we know those crystal flies we grabbed the other day were about as old. If Kapatcir counts as someone we "met" than she's here too. (2) Sibling - ie just as old as Traveler which is a lot older than most folks in Teyvat. Perhaps as old as the Primordial One or any Surviving Seelie. I suspect they may be just a little older but hardly worth worrying about. So we've met "Phobos" or the other golden Bees which I guess are Seelies. How old are they all? A million? A couple hundred thousand years old? Unknown. Paimon might be this old. (3) Scylla and the All Devouring Narwhal. Well there's not much of a clue how old they are but they are the only things in Teyvat we've met from potentially the era before the big war ie during the Unified Civilization's era. Unless you count Hypostases. They are probably from that era too. Age maybe a few tens of thousands of years old. Talking of inexplicable weird alien stuff the living domain at the bottom of the chasm might be in this category. But with that thing who has any idea. Maybe Pahsiv is in this age category? She feels more like the next. I guess the Sustainer (if she is a Shade) would be in this category too, and would be about the oldest within this category. (4) Apep's gut bug critters (the one's from Nahida's 2nd story quest) and Ukko (the priest of Sal Vindagnyr). These guys seem to have been born just after the big war and may have, indeed Ukko definitely did, witness the dropping of the Nails. Yeah Ukko had a good view of that. I guess the guard mechanisms on Dragonspine are the same age but not a "character" I suppose. These guys are less than 10,000 years old but still above something like 7000. I wonder if the Golden Wolflord might be this old. It's really not clear if Rhinedottir "made" them or just "summoned" them from another planet they were busy eating. Even if she did create them from nothing the age may not be far off 7000. Any of the oldest gods who still live might be this age category. For example if Deshret or Remus were alive still. Perhaps Andrius is this old? Dain seemed to think Andrius was a better quality of god than the more recent batch. (5) The youngest group I will consider would be people like Zhongli. less than 7000 years old, but older than about 5000 so as to exclude Ruin Golems (who are also not characters). This would include gods and Adepti though it feels like the oldest Youkai have moved on already. Perhaps the Boatman of Tsurumi island is such a being? The big talking fungus in the Chasm doesn't strike me as this old, but possibly.

massive problem. we never met the greater lord rukhadevata. therefore, she can't be on this list, since the title of the video is "oldest characters WE'VE EVER MET". also, since she was erased from history, nahida basicaly did everything the greater lord did. this mean nahida's livespan was even greater then the greater lord's since she was alive after her "mom" got erased. also, shouldn't unknown god, which is 1 of the 4 shades be old enough to be at least top 2? we did meet her, after all.

to slightly alleviate the debacle of number 4. i guess its safe to assume the gods predate any of the adepti, as their power was taught to them by morax. that would put guoba and guizhong at roughly the same age. for the rest of them, the line "old fossils" could just be in reference to their conservativeness while she chooses to adapt and change. in retrospect their ages would be close enough that it wouldnt matter.
