i think this might be one of the last videos for. Honkai Star Rail 2.1 and the Trailblaze Story Quest featuring Penacony mission called The Devil in Velvet. I know people rn are going to be talking mostly about aventurine builds and guides but I want to do one talking about his lore and story. was a bit of a banger obviously chalked full with exciting lore, in it we learned more about the deaths of robin and firefly, gained some insight into acheron motives, and perhaps even saw Sundays death towards the end of the game. gallagher somehow despite being a 4 star became the most important character. robin looks to still be alive, and firefly is sam and we saw boothill and the everflame mansion come into play, jade has made an appearance and we learned alot about aventurine lore and his story. and yet despite this very little noise has been regarding sparkle and the ever flame mansion, despite the fact that both appeared, sparkle did her usual thing and we got constance and duke inferno footage so idk. and no one has really been speaking on firefly and sam with regards to their relationship with the stellaron hunters, which they are apart of, but what are firefly's reasons for becoming one in the first place? and just a bit more about her lore in general

"Kakavasha's" story really has been *the* surprise hit of Penacony for me. Keep in mind that personally, I didn't *need* this backstory ya know? I already liked 'Aventurine, the Cocky Gambler' a ton. But this whole arc was done masterfully; my highest compliments to the writers and *especially* Kakavasha's english VA.
I don't especially have a ton to add to Kakavasha's backstory, so instead I'll turn my speculation to the Sigonia people in general.
Part of me is growing increasingly curious as to how different these people's beliefs *actually* are from the rest of the universe. Its pretty telling to me that smack dab in the middle of a storyline where The Family - a faction representing Xipe are front and center, we take a significant amount of time to focus on Kakavasha, a boy who's people was also said to serve a Goddess.
A Goddess who has *three faces* - an oddly specific detail. And one that Gaiathra shares with The Harmony.
i do believe Xipe is the almalgamation of over a thousand different entities as well, hmmm
I thought gaiathra triclops was yaoshi, since they prayed to her for rain and good fortune, something align with yaoshi’s proliferation of life and Chinese motifs. And I thought triclops was a creature with 3 eyes, not 3 faces. Yaoshi has tons of eyes all other her, maybe even one on her forehead.
I suspect they're Ena, mainly because of the colors between their eyes and Aventurine's being the same. His "luck" may be some kind of blessing where he'll always succeed even in the most ridiculous of situations as order needs to be restored. However, this also applies the other way as you can see with the amount of loss in his life. Sigonia's decline may even be linked to how civilizations under Ena would prosper but then face a devastating fall, leading to the feud between the clans. And what beautiful irony is it that a person from the planet whose Aeon got assimilated went to one with the Aeon that did it?
Not to mention, he almost "joined" the Family because of Sunday who serves the Harmony. May or not be a reference to how Xipe absorbed Ena...
Aventurine's VA, Camden, absolutely killed it. This is his first role!

I think Adventurine knew Robin had made it to the other side and his gift of luck or good fortune would bring him to the other side of Penacony. I believe that there's more to him than just his luck.

I mean i dont think it was suspicious, i just think he doesnt know considering he wasn't there when the actual extinction happened. But you know what did happen? The ipc failing him. Even when he was supposed to be saved by them because the avgin was supposed to be in their "protection" but the attack still happened and many people died and also to resulting in him getting enslaved, like what?!? How the hell did that happen

I was suspicious of him at first for the murders, but seeing his backstory and his growth as a character, This was an absolutely cool backstory. And its not often you see a game that has references to slavery because it is socially unacceptable and Illegal. But with a fictional world like this, it really shows you the cruelty of people.

So did every one forget were on this planet for a festival and doing some research on past Trailblazers? I know Penacony is still new but please why is no one talking about the two and important infos? For me Penacony is fun but I just want to see the festival, Robin's concert, her "death" and were she is and of course the past of are crew. Even still people search very far to something we will have reveals in the future, plus taking base infos are the most important in a story or at least a chapter
yea we came to penacony for the purpose but thats all been derailed by the recent happenings that currently dominate the state of affairs on penacony, even the crew hasent brought up the original purpose of the trip.

I don't get how a slave killing his owner is a crime. How did he become a slave? Does the IPC legalize slavery? he even has a mark in his neck. Make it make sense to me. Please.
tbf that comment felt like it had to with aventurines noteriety more then anything. as in the IPC simply know about his past, the real crime he was caught for was the Egyhazo case and the killing of his master was something Jade only mentioned in passing.

To me it looked like he went to prison for killing his owner, it also doesn't help that he is still using those tattered clothes in front of Jade. I was like "I'm really supposed to believe no one wants to advocate for him when he unalived a slave owner????"
I'm pretty sure slavery is legal under the IPC. Jade says something like 'a slave shouldn't rebel against his master' and that wouldn't make sense if slavery were illegal (example: slavery basically cozies up to kidnapping in the law and if you're kidnapped or enslaved in some way you legally cannot commit a crime against your captor if it is in service of escape. Ie; it isn't murder if you kill your slaver/captor).

And before anyone says anything, we don’t know what exactly happens when an aeon absorbs another aeon, so here’s my 50 cents
Ena is still alive, somewhere within xipe, and has been gaining power, and only recently, has gained enough power to tamper with the harmony path, thereby screwing up robins voice
This has allowed her to be able to essentially start maybe her escape from xipe, or maybe, her infact coming out and absorbing xipe instead, becoming the stronger aeon
ena still being alive would be interesting. ig ur right we dont know exactly what happens, and we do know for a fact xipe is made out of thousands of different entities

Take Neuvillette for instance, someone who wants to judge the principles for their "crimes" despite he himself being in absolutely no position to do so, he wants to collect a blood debt, that will somehow prevent innocents from dying, just to achieve a goal, thats already being realized right now, people and vishaps coinciding with one another, yet he masks it as if hes the highest judge in the land and doing whats "right" when in actuality he wants vengeance, which only benefits he.
