Teams in Europe are not as ‘intimidated’ by City. In the Prem when City go a goal or two up most teams capitulate, in Europe however teams don’t fear them, they soak up the attack and then make their move... the Lyon match from a few years ago was a classic example, so was this match against Madrid.

I see Trevor Sinclair threw a sickie. Humble as ever. He is saying the old ‘if’ ‘should of’ ‘would of’ routine. If the Madrid player had been booked twice, the result would have been different. Well Trevor, if Mike Dean had seen Carlos Tevez hitting Joey Barton in the famous QPR game when they won their first PL and sent both of them off, that result would have been different. As it may have if Everton got that stonewall penalty or Wolves didn’t have had a ridiculous penalty against them or if Fernandinho had been booked in the matches where he is his usual dirty self the results would have been different. Madrid stood up to the bully that is Man City and City couldn’t cope with it.

Referring to Bayern Munich, what I will say as a Real Madrid fan, that out of the 4 times Real has played Bayern in a span of 10 something years (2012, 2014, 2017 & 2018), Real made Pep's Bayern look the worst out of all those renditions of Bayern Munich. Real got better and much much tighter games from Bayern teams managed under Ancelotti and Jupp.

A lot of these so called experts need to remind themselves that this current Madrid side are by no means a push over. Kroos and Modric in the midfield are incredible. Old yes but still fit. Best striker in the world right now, if not that then the most inform striker. A good defence and a world class keeper. Yet people are surprised when they win. Real Madrid are a team that know how to do more damage than teams that have more possession or chances. They can harm you & humiliate you in 2min, 5min or 30min... while other teams need 90min, 180 min or w/e.
Pundits don't get this cause they're brainwashed by Pep's offensive style & Klopp as well... Real Madrid that won the 3 CL in a row were like this, if there was a graph line... peak Barca had absolute possession, chance creation & they could score(way better than current Pep Man C)... yet, Real Madrid were like hunter waiting for the right moment to bite by reaching at immeasurable levels of performance. It's like a predator waiting & enduring till the suddenly go at max speed, they perfected that.
I never understood pundits downplaying Real Madrid or never giving them a chance when they never really cared for dominating teams, only if teams are way weaker than them they try to dominate or if they are destroyed. Which is the better team, a team that needs to 180 minutes to score 5 goals or a team that can score 6 goals in 10 minutes?

Man Citys downfall was down to defenders and keeper switching off for all the goals at the end. They'll be back again next season.
Hoping to see a great final with 2 teams with massive European pedigree, hopefully a good few goals in it.

City has to much micromanage for they player, it's like playing orchestra when everyone need to follow the not to make the concert success and no room for improvisation. Argument saying city wins the game with Kane is absurd. Kane is not a big game player and it’s been proven before. Grealish actually played well, had to take mendy’s goal line clearance and amazing save by Courtouis to keep him away. City is just bad at managing the game out. Because they have never won, they don’t have the same mentality and know how’s of winning a big cup.

  • @kostaskaragiannis5946

City is by far the best trained team in winning inferior teams, they will not lose points in those games. And by far(alongside with liverpool)the best team in England. So really not much of a competition for premier League title except those two.On the other hand the other big clubs in Europe, they are not intimitaded by City. They play on different tempo, have players with personality and titles. The pattern is that city collapses everytime a very good team with belief for victory applies pressure.Maybe it is because the team is not used in pressure by top class teams and because in england, during the last ten years, they overvalue players.
