  • Just a cool little observation I made recently about a stretch I’ve walked through literally hundreds of times and I never knew it used to be a little different.

I went to Marshall HS back in 1983 for only the end of freshman year. A friend told me about the party atmosphere at Franklin over summer break so I transferred!

If I remember correctly, those metal things is where they fenced off a bullpen for auto shop. If you took auto you could bring in your own car to work on and/or they kept cars to be worked on for shop.

I like your videos Steve. Add more context and descriptions. I had to look at the comments to learn what school this was. The person wouldn't know what or where you were talking about! Luv ya Brother!

To elaborate on what Carl said, I came to the comments to find out where you were.
It seems like the only ones here in the comments who know what school it is are the ones who attended this school. I was waiting for you to mention the name, because I couldn't recognize where you were. I'm guessing you forgot to say it while recording. That could be remedied by a quick title page at the front of the vid (or maybe a mention in the description, would have been a easier solution, editing-wise). Also, I was waiting for you to cut to the picture you were referencing, to show us the reason your interest was piqued, and to see for myself what you were talking about. (That also would have made a great title page.😁) I had to go back and pull up your channel to hunt the photo down by looking at the thumbnail (which you can't expand to full screen).
All this aside, I think you're great, and I really enjoy all your videos. I know this was just a quick, uncomplicated vid for you to upload for your audience, which I know we all appreciate. Thank you for being you!

I never ever thought about a road actually going through there lol. Oh the thoughtless mind of a 16 year old.

I don't know about a road going the way you said but when I went there in 1993 there used to be a road that went from holgate to Powell in the back of the school that was removed when the built the movie theater. It's the road that you can see behind the school in the picture.
