Everytime I've checked in on rangers europa run, this guy has always popped up with big goals at important times. Only in the 1st Leipzig leg I realised he was a right back. ABSOLUTELY WELL DONE RANGERS, GOOD LUCK IN SEVILLE

My uncle died in March this year he was a die hard rangers fan he died in his 30s but in my mind rangers are doing it not only for my uncle but all the other fans that passed that don’t get to see this hope it goes well for us and let’s bring it back to Glasgow Scotland 💙🤍❤️

For the last 3 years he's been racking up the numbers and each season he always got criticised and each season he came back with stronger numbers, now he's done it a 4th year on the bounce, eclipses it with this seasons display and still people question how good he is, jeez he's about to take the europa league golden boot.
He came to this club in the first division, probably listening to stories of how Rangers will be playing in Europe again someday to actually playing in Europe, this guy reaps what he sows and deserves the stature he's reached as a player and as a captain.
He wouldn't look out of place in any of the top 6 down south.

I’m pretty sure that only Rangers fans - whose opinions obviously aren’t impartial - think that Tavernier is anywhere near as good as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Reece James, Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker. Those four are outstanding, and below them in the England pecking order, there will be plenty of others who are just as good as James Tavernier.
Don’t get me wrong, Tavernier is unlucky that his nationality and position - English right-back - is probably the single position in the whole world of international football that has the highest quality of players, and most strength in depth. However, Rangers fans have to be honest about that and accept that - England have four right-backs who have all played in Champions League finals, and who regularly play at the latter stages of the Champions League, and that sort of standard is several levels above Europa League standard, even by definition.
