  • This was a big project and we only made it so far in 2 days. We did manage to replace the radius arm bushings (after some head-scratching) and the sway bar bushings on day 1.
In Part 2 we were able to get the pivot arm bushings replaced, that was nice.
Now finally in Part 3 we get the rig all put back together with new shocks and sway bar end links, and maybe a test drive.
The Radius and Pivot Arm bushings came from Energy Suspension, and the Sway Bar bushings came from Moog. I can't remember where the end links came from...

Nice walk down memory lane. I work at the factory that built this truck. I worked on these back in the day. I installed the steering linkage, springs, and sway bar. Still use basically the same parts on a twin I beam super duty. Still a j clip and 10 millimeter bolt. thanks

That’s awesome you used to build these rigs. Honestly my favorite vehicle I’ve ever owned. Actually doing all this work getting ready to sell so someone else can enjoy it (just got a newer f350 and don’t want the excursion to just sit). Thank for the comments!
