I remember back in season 4 they introduced evo shields and you were given two syringes and two shield cells at the start of the match during the System Override collection event. Ever since, no more looking around for white, blue, purple, and gold shields on the ground.

Yeah, that sucks though... Old way was better. Werent guarenteed to fight a red shield team, or even blue shield team. All depended on when and wear you fought. I prefer the old game.
One thing I miss most was flying through the air of opened supply bins. The big where you’d punch the bin then stand on it then fly through the air.
That was sooo funny, I abused that bug every game I played 😂
I miss when no armor was on you off drop. As a rampart player you could just get a sniper and one shot everyone with amped walls.

I actually think the armour off drop was a good choice. It gives you more of a chance to survive against people who got better gear off drop.

Removing Punch Boosting will always be an L, if anything they could've just nerf'd it a bit so that the speed doesn't stack w/ a Legend's Abilities like Stimmy, or now Rev's new Tactical.
It was part of the unique Apex movement mechanics, no different than Tap Strafing & all the more advanced moves.
I strongly disagree. I think it's good that it was removed. Nerfing it not to stack with speed abilities would also just be stupid since that would be a nerf to the abilities more than the tech itself. Not everyone is supposed to move fast and not everyone is balanced around it. And no, it wouldn't be balanced to have it still. It's just more and more advantage to those playing on high ground.

It wasn't removed completely but I agree that they should've just nerfed it and kept it in.
P.S if you want something similar to punch boosting load into a game of control on the caustic takeover map and jump and slide into the things where the gold weapons are stored ;)

The reason RANKED areans wasnt fun to most people was the grind wasnt rewarding and the points was too low once you hit sliver, gold and platinum
actually was that you gonna fight 1 vs 3 most of the time, as a noob it was hard to beat even one, people who did arenas at the end of it was on squad otherwise you always end up 1 vs 3, i tried 3 times or so and it was always 1 vs 3 so i gave up, in squad was really fun to do 3 vs 3 or 2 vs 3

cope. Arenas sucked ass because it wasnt anything like apex and made you shittier at BR. and The people that realized that went back to just play BR instead.
You dont get third partied, no rotations necessary, hardly any game sense required. Audio matters EVEN LESS there while its in an already shitty state.
Basically arenas was for two kinds of people. People warming up for BR because mixtape wasnt a thing yet. And people who were OKAY at the game but not good enough to hack it in real ranks so instead they'd beat up on arena tourists.
Dont sit there and tell me the "grind" wasnt reward. The whole fucking mode wasnt rewarding.

I miss arena so much. It is all I used to play. I played apex for like a year and then stopped for about half of a year. I came back and arenas was gone. I was devistated.
What would be very cool is new badges. Example :
Bombardier - wipe a squad with a single grenade
Clutch - wipe a squad while your 2 teammates are down
Unstoppable - kills 5 enemies in a row without healing
Merciless - kills 10 enemies in a single match 5 times
Rat - Win a game with the final kill with less than 100 damage
Executor - finish 5 enemies in a single game
Etc.

The first one is quite literally the definition of a impossible task I can already see people cheesing it for bragging rights. But new badges would be very cool
@@RobotSpy13 It's hard but it's not impossible, it happened to me a bunch of times, a well timed third party with a well placed nade can easily wipe a weak squad recuperating after a fight. You need some luck tho but anyways, these were just examples from the top of my head, Respawn could do something similar VERY easily, I don't understand why they haven't already to be honest... That's an easy upgrade that would add A LOT of reasons to grind the game. EZ content addition that necessite a very minimal effort from the devs.

for me, it wasnt a feature rather then a balance patch. It was the nerf to hammerpoint (or rather the buff of base stat p2020/mozam) since that initial change completely changed how effective and viable hammerpoint was to me, back then i enjoyed using p2020 as a niche ace up my sleeve in diamond/pred lobbies. but now with people with bigger armors, and +1/2 extra bullets to down an enemy hammerpoint is in a worse spot then what it was
That train was fun. I was playing casually around that time with 2 mates and we'd always go train and if it didn't go well, we would all be screaming jump off on comms. Goddamn that was fun and made for some fun shenanigans
I miss bein able to load caustics gas traps with arch stars and launching them at people. Or making the gas trap move forward slowly so you could use it as moving cover and push a team through a hallway easily lol 😆

The kraber change I feel like is the only change that made sense Other then the hot drop changes. The kraber only doesn’t 1 shot on like red shields on blue/purp helmet so the majority of time you hitting headshots you’ll probably get a knock.I do think at a certain point you should have the ability to loot up to the point where you don’t have to fear being 1 shot from some camper taking long shots with no real intention of pushing you.but they literally didn’t nerf the kraber they buffed the helmet which nerfed all snipers/marksmen weapons as a vivid Sentinel user i wouldn’t mind a helmet nerf
i like that they found that balance, it feels like you have to almost earn the privilege of not being 1 shot, so as you loot up your worries can lessen and lessen
@@xmixdx7351 exactly I’d say the sentinel goes unnoticed but after the helmet changes you can only 1 shot headshot(charged up) white shields/helmet. Which makes it so satisfying when you one tap Somebody full health with a sentinel but even that’s so uncommon giving how easy it is to find blue shields or helmet. Honestly I wish you spawned with no helmet or your helmet breaks after a certain amount of headshot damage and needs to be replaced once broken that way I’m not doing 95 instead of 140 which is a crazy difference for the same effort

I am sad I missed a chance to see Shadow Royale, though I love the Rev Army. What I'll miss the most are Rev Shells though. They were so silly and fun. The best thing ever, haha.
I remember the third person mode was my first event and it broke my brain so bad as a first time player, just as I got the hang of it the mode ended

Something about how they respond to things people want pisses me off like when they said that the community doesn’t drive their decision making process and when they said that solos negatively impacted new player retention even though the people that put in the hours to get better we’re having fun they didn’t care because all they want is the new players that will think they enjoy the game until sbmm kicks in and they are stuck because they were tricked into thinking they knew what the game was like and now have put in too much time to just quit. It’s slimy and shows a complete disregard for all the players that keep their game alive after all this time. It’s a team game yet most people that play it solo with randoms.

Bro kraber thing is the really stupid. I hit some guy with a red armor and probably purple helmet a day or two ago. My guy just took it, ran away. It is not exactly easy to acquire to weapon, you expose yourself for a care package, risking getting gunned down immediately, and get a headshot with the weapon. It should be a 1 shot kill, no matter the circumstance.

Edit: For those who are asking, I used to watch ottr back when I played Apex. Ig me watching more and more TF2 now triggered the YT algorithm to recommend these vids again, which is refreshing after such a long time.
tbf if a specific location gets too popular to the point where half the lobby goes there the game gets boring since half the lobby dies before the first ring and the rest is more of a looting simulator.

I honestly hate the armor system, and red shields specifically... Gold armor is such a shitty state, and has been for so long because nobody cares about it... Finding that that gold armor, and gold loadout was the best, now its like nobody gives a shit about gold armor.
Gold armor is still good in niche moments when you're getting poked hard frequently and getting pushed, being able to heal back so much so quick is great in those niche jams, but red armor is still more useful 99% of the engagements.

Respawn said the ground punch was a bug, because it was a bug 🤦 I mean honesty, yes it may of been helpful is very specific situations. But it was honestly one of the most useless movement glitches/bugs to date. Who the heck wants to start sprinting, slide down hill, backwards, and punch the ground multiple times causing multiple unnecessary animations when in a fight. Just to move faster. And not to mention there are few hills if not just the one on storm point that this movement actually pays off or works at its full potential.
Oh and I know the game is fictional. But when I punch the ground in real life I don't go flying through the air.. In fact if I did it like the bug id probably end up fracturing my hand.

You either try your luck and land there, 95% of the time you don't walk out of there free or you land anywhere else where there's no action at all. It punishes both hot dropper by making luck the major factor and edge dropper for no action off drop.

Agreed. Skulltown was fun to land at but basically every game I'd either have a jm barrel right for skulltown, or I'd be jm and land somewhere else only to be cursed out by my team for not landing skulltown lmao

I think is bs that respawn blamed the player retention problem during the iron crown event on solos mode, when the real reason why no one was playing was because they were ripping people off. they don't want to admit their own greed caused the player loss, not solos mode. And, because of this absolute bs reason now we will never see a solos mode again. This game despitely needs a solos mode tho, the SBMM is horrible af being forced with randoms. I sware, I hate this game more and more every day.
i made good friends with strangers, and even some became my regular team mates, i heard some had the opposite though most of us are there to enjoy the game and not take it serious, thats the reason casual and ranked existed

i don't get why they don't add solos, its not like it'll affect the game that much, cause some legend abilities are useless in mixtape and no fill, mixtape isn't good for player retention cause it doesn't teach to play with your team or how to loot or why u shouldn't push everything. and no fills is just solos but on hard mode! so why respawn, why not just add solos, and if you don't want new players to play solos than why not just make it so you need to reach a certain level to play it. I DON'T FUCKING GET IT !
