Very helpful. You are one of the few people that walked around showing audio pickup changes.
Glad it helped, thanks for watching.
Wow.... you did a great job reviewing and demonstrating this mic. I like all of the features you presented. I like the AAA size batteries and YES a battery level indicator!!! This is out just in time, thank you Tomas! Thumbs UP all the way
excellent review
Another great review, thanks!
GREAT VIDEO, Tomas. Thanks for this!
Mic sounds SICK!!! Rich and crisp audio... Awesome review, Thomas.
+Pixels & Bytes thanks man!
Great review, Tomas - especially the outdoor-part of the video was extremely helpful. Thank you so much!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching.
Great tests and review, thanks for taking the time to make this video! It's been really helpful and I'm pretty certain I will end up ordering one :)
Thanks for stopping in Max!
This mic is awesome!! Outstanding Review Tomas.. The mic was rich, full, and really impressive.. Really nice vid.. Two thumbs up
+Jasen Ritt thanks as always for the support man!
Good review. I might go for this mic on my D500.
This sounds really good, great overview
Thanks!
Nice one bro...loving the color. This sounds absolutely impressive!
Appreciate'cha stoppin' in Smash!
Great review!
Thanks!
@@TomasVillegas how much self noise does this thing have? i hate having remove noise in post degrades quality imo
Also do you need a shock mount for it or can you mount it on camera without it picking up the sounds from operating the camera?
Great job... thanks for the excellent test video... very helpful...!
Thanks for watching!
Great video! The mic sounds nice.
+Luis Robles thanks man!
Damn, this sounds solid!
I totally agree.
Liked your presentation so much i bought the product on the strength of it. So many Microphone reviews on here are done INSIDE. I was looking for a general mic for use OUTSIDE.
Glad I could help! Thanks for the comment!
i liked how you walked around
Mahalo from Hawaii, I always wanted to up grade. I do a lot of regatta canoe races and like how your sample cut the back (motor boat engine noise) noise like boat engine.
the wind test sounds pretty good :)
I agree.
Nice mic!
Definitely is.
Very good information. Thank you. Gave you a like and subscribed too.
do you prefer this or the avx setup?
+DroidModderX ROOT Master they both have different use cases. I don't prefer one over the other. Thanks for stopping in man!
I have only seen this mic mounted on dslr. But I ordered one to fit my panasonic hc x2000 camcorder. I will film skate, and wanted to have stereo like sound and not rely only on the cameras mic.
Tomas thank for the very well presented review. I was going to purchase a Rode video go but looked at other reviews about that and the pro ... noise on the go and poor design on the pro.... I might have to spend a little more for a Senn. but clean sound is worth it. I'm wondering if it can be rigged to a boom too.
Good job Tomas. Was it cold outside :)
Awesome video homie!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Just a killer mic.. Would love to be able to hear what you can do to the audio in post...
+TechExamined thanks Mikey! It definitely captures some awesome audio.
Hi, Im a little perplexed as this mic doesn't seem to work with iPhone, any ideas how I can get it to work with iPhone please??
3:26 the minuscules show up :D BTW great video bro. Thumb up from me..Also appreciate the disclosure at the end
Hey Tomas, as you've tested both what's your opinion on the MKE 440 compared to the MKE 600?
I'm liking the 440 with it's stereo recording, and seems perfect for straight run & gun. Though I feel the 600 might be more useable universally, with its higher frequency range plus I'll have to option to take it off camera and mount on a boom pole or mic stand.
Be great to hear your thoughts, as I'm looking to invest in one of these in addition to the AVX system Lav.
I plan on doing a comparison soon. Right now the 600 is used more for what I do, but the 440 is a wonderful addition to on the move shooting. Plus you can't beat its stereo recording.
In your opinion what is the best dslr mic? And how would you compare it to the videomic x? There is no comparison of the two anywhere online?
I think the Video Mic Pro+ is the best bang for the buck.
Hi great video. I record my daughter singing at her recitals. She usually stands about 25 ft away from me. Do you recommend this mic or the mke 600? Thank you, john
No I wouldn't recommend this mic for that. If possible I'd hook a lav mic to her.
Tomas Villegas there is other speakers on both sides of her. Would the mke 600 work good?
@@jbravo70 external recorder would be better, like a zoom
it's strong and an extension of the camera but how successful is it at separating the microphone from shocks?
Did you watch the video? See around 4:30.
Tomas Villegas thanks, I watched around 430 and you are talking about wind noise and noise rejection NOT shock noise... If you tap the camera body lightly does it get into the mic at all?
Thanks for usefull video ;) I have the same camera and shotgun, but i didint get the same audio quality. In one case, i get almost good aoudio quality, but the sound is too low. When i choose other setting, i get higher sound, but too many nioses appears. What settings do you set on shoutgun and camera? Thanks in advance ;)
Set your camera preamps to a low setting and let the 440 do all the work for your camera.
@@TomasVillegas how do you mean. Should the mic be with the highpass of and the gain to 20+dB and then low settings on the camera eq? How do I know when the volume is right in editing ?
Would you say it's better then the rode videomic pro?
I use the Rode at work, and this is is way better in my opinion. But is should be that way this mic is almost double the cost.
rode videomic pro is mono mic, this is shutgun type stereo mic ~
how does it does it compare to the video mic pro
I think it's much better. I use the Video Mic Pro at work and this is much better build and quality of audio.
Should I go for this or the Stereo VideoMic X ? Thanks
Can you use this on a GoPro?
If you have a cage that has a cold shoe and 3.5mm jack, yes.
Video looks like it is good but I'm way to jealous to watch...
YOU BETTA WATCH! I need that view!
