A lot of “extreme riders” and enthusiasts are clashing over height and type and stats. This is a GREAT ride for a park that hasn’t had a new design since 2005. If anything, this will be the new “big ride” of Dorney and will hopefully bring in revenue for something diverse like an RMC or Vekoma maybe.

@tentenchu8140 Thunderhawk is considered a rollercoaster landmark or something like that. So the only thing that can be done to it is retracking or things like that. They layout will never change. It's like the Cyclone at Coney Island.
I don’t mind only one big drop, I just wish that drop was a little taller. Otherwise it looks like it might be in contention for the best coaster in the park. Looks smooth.

I put my laptop VERY close to my eyes and moved my body and the laptop in the same directions in which the rollercoaster was moving in. TBH, IT FELT REAL
I can't believe how many people are complaining about the length of this coaster. Dorney Park doesn't have much space to work with. Be glad to get this. You should keep two things in mind. 1. The space Dorney Park has and 2. The town has to approve the coasters that Dorney Park gets. Dorney Park is at a major disadvantage compared to other parks.
Look smooth and fun Nice drop. Just would be even better had it been longer with another drop. The famous part of roller coaster for me is multiple drops zipping speed. But this one is great
Iron Menace is quite similar to Yukon Striker at Canada’s Wonderland. Both are dive roller coasters with an Immelmann inversion following the first drop, are painted orange, and have four inversions in total.
Iron Menace is smaller and shorter.
Also better location. Maybe I’m biased cus’ it’s my home park, but don’t care. Yukon is better.
It’s strategic. Cedar Fair is playing off the familiarity of orange paint and similar coaster type. They did the whole “Timbers” thing in the mid 2010s.

Yeah, I agree that this is a very short dive coaster. They usually have 2 main drops and longer layouts. This one just feels too short.
Sea world San Diego dive coaster is also short

this doesn’t look half bad actually… As someone who is not a fan of dive coasters, only because they are usually too short and all very generic, this actually has a little something and it’s nice to see Dorney park getting a new coaster to add to it skyline… I will be visiting to try it

I went on this and I was so scared at first but it was really fun
I have been on the tallest roller coaster called Millennium Force at Cedar Point. I always put my hands up on the rides.
Been on several of these...rhey are ok fun and a different coaster to the lineup. Folks will like it

I went in the front seat today, definitely a great ride. Really smooth, but I wouldn’t peg it to be scarier than Talon.

Very similar to Valkyria at Liseberg, which is also a B&M dive coaster.
Spoiler alert, Iron Menace is going to be a very smooth comfortable ride that you'll wish was longer.

I went in singapore for travelling and i went in unversal studios and me and my parents and my older brother and then we went to this ride cold revenge of the mummy and it is indoor and it was really dark and it is a roller coaster and then we rided on it so i went to a roller coaster once

yes very similar to fahrenheit. i thought the exact same thing. good observation. l live in harrisburg about 15 mins from hershey. And, I've rode Fahrenheit many times. It's a good coaster. but, not a great one.
Not at all. Completely different style and layout of coaster. It's more like Sheikra at Busch Gardens Tampa and Griffin at Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

Dorney Park doesn't have much space to work with. As good as Lazer was, it was a short ride as well.

Yes, it’s a shorter dive coaster, but I love that they left out the stereotypical mid-course followed by another vertical. It was becoming too predictable.

It's too short. Really, I wouldn't want to wait on a line more than 15 minutes for this. Granted, I am sure there are reasons for why it is designed so short, and space comes to mind as Dorney really isn't a large park. I am sure they are going to have to shoe horn this in there if they are not removing anything else. Still, I would have liked to see a longer ride.

Some new coasters seem to be shorter to keep costs down.
This is sitting on a very small footprint, and has the best ride time possible without getting rid of Possessed. Heard this straight from the park president.

Did they hit a budget wall? So much leftover speed - another helix wouldn't have hurt my feelings! Still, looking forward to a great addition to the park.
Not a budget wall per se but a test budget. B&Ms aren’t cheap and Dorney is not only putting in that coaster but re-theming that entire area of the park. Iron Menace is a pretty costly test budget and if the park does really well because of its addition they have a 10-year plan to heavily invest in more rides and coasters and bring Dorney closer to one of their tier 1 parks. However they don’t want to spend a massive amount on a huge really long dive coaster just incase they don’t see the return in profits.
