Visited Switzerland a few months ago. By far the best experience of my life and I would do anything to go back there, swiss people are so lucky to have such a beautiful country. If I was to pick anywhere to permanently move to I would pick Switzerland.

The beauty of Switzerland makes me cry....such intense awe inspiring majesty.
Luckily I've had the privilege of going there. I was there in August 1990. Sadly when I went I was stuck behind a woman who was scared so much she went at a snails pace. This brings back so many memories of my trip. I hope to go back to Europe someday soon. Thank you.

I had the same experience and it ruined it because it was the only time I have been there and it is a chore to ride the brakes constantly.The alpine ones ore a little different than this.
This looks like something I'd like to experience.

If you travel three hours east of Seoul, you will be blown away by the beauty of the mountain Seorak in Gwangwon-do. I highly recommend you visit the place if you haven't done so..

I had a very wholesome moment when I was on a vacation in Austria (next to switzerland) hiking. A bunch of curious cows started following me for like 30 minutes. I thought they stopped following me, so I had a break. 1 minute later I heard the bells and in seconds I saw a big cow staring at me from a distance. I ignored them because I knew they weren't chasing/attacking me. The curious cows came closer and closer and closer until they were less than half a meter away from me. They were very friendly. One of them constantly tried to lick me. I spent a good 10 minutes chilling with them. I guess they just wanted to say hello.

As exciting as the ride was my attention was more often drawn away to admire the beautiful mountains and surrounding scenery.

I think the fact that we were locked up in our homes the year this was released and had forgotten what freedom was like ,together with the sweeping music just got this video mad likes that they didn't expect. Left with this ecstatic Nostalgia,and freedom without a care in the world.

This is one of the coolest sled rides I’ve seen, although not that long compared to others the fact that it’s not on a track seems like it’s faster and smoother than others. Definitely has more of a fear factor not being on a track. It just looked like a great experience for sure…👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I live in Bavaria and we have some of these too, I always liked them when I was younger, it's like a perfect climax after mountain hiking tour, but now I truly understand how special it is for certain people who are not able to experience it themselves

Loved those warning signs flying by, showing airborne people and sleds, if I’m not mistaken. They probably all said something like: “Zu spät!” point of no return missed.

I remember going on this in 2018, and our 'challenge' was to attempt the whole run without breaking. Resulted in coming off the edge, ramming into the back of each other, and a lot of laughing. Absolutely love to go again.

@@jesselauth4036 There's no way of "doing badly" on one of these. The carts are built to stay on course and they have a handle between your legs, which operates the brake. You just push it down and off you go.

Довелось быть на Кандерштег в 2015 году и кататься на санках. Склон, примерно под 45 градусов, слева пропасть из которой видны только верхушки елей, справа склон горы. Жутко, но здорово! Красота первозданной природы. Красивая страна.

I agree with you, I've been 3 or 4 times, skiing the Alps in Zermatt.. 1 time we skied over to the Italian side & a different trip I stayed in Chamonix France, all beautiful places in the Alps, but having the Matterhorn as a backdrop is just amazing!!! ❤️🇨🇭⛷️

I rode one in I believe New Hampshire when I was young. Was much longer than this, at least a few miles. I think they closed it due to liability concerns because here in the US everyone loves a good lawsuit.

Was that one in Attitash or Gunstock? I flipped one at Gunstock when I was 13... skinned my elbow. Big banner said "Slow". I ignored it.
@@Feldmrschl Neither. Attitash has a concrete track. The place I went had a metal track, like Gunstock, but it wasn't a loop, like Gunstock. You rode a gondola to the top of the mountain and then rode the coaster down. Also, the track was a monorail, a single steel rail down the center of the sled. This would have been in the mid 80's.
Rode one in New Hampshire in 1976. Concrete track. Nearly launched myself on the first big turn.
Attitash was a dangerous track with some turns having too little banking. Pico in Vermont was not bad but the sleds they had were very hit or miss. One was lucky to get a wood skidded, straight running, fast sled. Pico had those three little dips that ended at a 90 degree right turn which was very hairy otherwise fun could be had if you could race a friend on the other track as there were two, side by side...
It doesn't get any more beautiful than that.
I'd go a hundred times.
Детство напомнило. Киргизия - горы плюс орошаемое земледелие. Вода со склонов текла в бетонных лотках, садишься в такой лоток и вперёд! Столь длинных путей я конечно не помню, но скорость была заметно выше, и без торможение в конце. Точнее после лотка глубокую яму вымывало, в неё и тормозили!

Something like this descending into the Grand Canyon would become a wonder of the world.
they actually built one on part of the Great Wall of China I think it takes away from the historical significance and degrades it a bit... if at the Grand Canyon, somewhere insignificant and not in a photogenic area, but ya that would be pretty cool 😎😁
