Even though this is from mid 50's the music etc. could be from the 30's or 40's.This is the music the producers grew up with. They had the kids sing it.
I believe Jimmy Dodd wrote most of the songs we heard on the MMC.
Land of Me Oh My, such a child phrase to say. We had great imaginations back then.
Yeah, then she met Wally Cleaver and it was like "Bobby who"?
Another episode of Mickey Mouse Club! Thanks.
Thanks for tuning in to another episode of Mickey Mouse Club! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Stay tuned for more fun and excitement!
I still can't find Rock-and-Roll episodes. No wonder why the show couldn't have a regular run after the spring of 1958. It's last season was even mainly just reruns.
The series actually ended in 1958. They reran old episodes in the 1958-59 season. The ratings were falling after the summer of '59 so the series was cancelled.
Very good point. Most of the music in the show didn’t reflect the generation of kids at the time, but more-so their parents’ generation instead (big band and swing rather than rock and roll). This particular skit does that by design, as it’s late 1930s inspired.

Pamela Beaird--never heard of her before--won't ever forget the name.
No wonder we grew up Loving music so much.
We were treated like children.....not little adults.
Response: Haha, you're absolutely right! It's like music was our best friend growing up. It was always there for us, through thick and thin. Can't imagine a world without those catchy tunes we used to jam to. Good times, my friend, good times.czcams.com/video/J1ZRWsbyAOw/video.html
