My friend in Cavan heard the banshea when he was a teenager and he hid under the covers til morning. The back door where he heard her was open and his aunt came to him saying his uncle in England had died that night
Never heard the banshee, I grew up in rural connacht.. The wailing of a vixen can be chilling on a dark night,.. Perhaps that's the bone chilling cry people hear..
My mother has heard her twice on both occasions her granddad and neighbour died that same night. She has also seen the woman in white with long silver hair. My grandfather lived in an isolated cottage up in the mountains in the West of Ireland. He had so many stories of ghostly encounters and the supernatural world, I wish I had written them down before he died.
My Mother grew up in rural Ireland and believe me she is not one to be interested in the supernatural or anything like that and she said she heard the Ban si when she was a teen and u believe her because she never speaks of things like that. She said it was the most chilling, inhuman, screeching, howl she has ever hard. Absolutely terrifying that she said she'l never forget it. she heard pass her window and continue on and the next day in Mass a neighbor dropped dead! love being irish!!!
I believe I heard the Banshee when I was about 10. Silent night, no wind, windows open and then it came out of nowhere..low moan to a high pitched wail in 10 seconds...then was gone. My ancestry is from Ireland..I'll never forget that sound and it was certainly no animal!
Banshees are specifically tied to certain clans, like the O'Connor's and the O'Brian's .. Usually it means someone you know has or will die.. I've heard it before, it's really eerie!
In 1995 I bought a house in Coolock I was 19 at the time also my daughter Keri was born,I use to drink and watch concerts on VHS,I use to have a piss out the back, that nite I heard a horrible cry wailing for a good while my daughter died the next nite from a S.I.D.S,the sound was bloodcurdling
@@marysusie hi Mary, hope you're well. I'm a paranormal investigator and would love to talk with different people about their experiences with the banshee. If you know of anyone who would be interested in sharing a story is there any way they could contact me?
Banshees or Beansidhe. Back in 1987 or 1988 I was walking down the road at night with two Mikes....Mike Hamlin and Mike Reed. We hadn't gone too far down the road when up at the top of the trees we heard this blood curdling cry. It warbled in a owl-like way for a few seconds and then morphed into a female voice screaming "MIKE!" I stood there in amazement, but when I turned around both Mikes were gone! I was buzzing with excitement but realized I was alone in the dark on the side of Doyal rd....so I finally ran back to the house. When I got there both mikes were pacing around the front yard saying "What the fuck was that?" We all agreed it had to be a Banshee. But they say if a Banshee calls your name you will die soon. Well I'm happy to report both Mikes are still alive and well today. So what did it mean? One Mike was threatened by a fellow student who got him alone and said something creepy like "I have a gun under my seat." and "Would anyone miss you if you just never came home?" Which is creepy...but he didn't do anything. So I'm not sure if Mike was in danger or not? But maybe it was a warning? The other Mike would jump on the hood of a friends moving car (she didn't know) and when she put on the breaks he went surfing face first in the gravel. He came pretty close to death that night...but still lived. So maybe the Banshee doesn't always warn of certain death? After these incidents I had gone alone in my grandma's forest at night and cast a magick circle. After I got the circle of protection up I sat and stared into the candle light. Right as I began to break the circle at the end of the ritual....a singing/ crying female voice started singing in a language that I didn't understand. I was so terrified by the sound that I could barely move. And I noticed that my faithful dog (who always stayed close) had refused to follow me into the woods this time. After this singing/ crying had stopped I quickly picked up my ritual items and headed out of the woods. There at the corner of the woods was my dog "Bear" sitting patiently for me to leave the woods. I felt so much better to see him and get close to him. But as I approached he began to cry and back away from me. I noticed he was looking above my head. I looked up and seen nothing. Could the dog see something I couldn't? Needless to say I ran home at this point. It wasn't long after this incident my uncle Tivis died in Tennessee.
Pentagam What makes you think that the Mike she was calling for was related to either one of yours? Michael is a very common name and I’m sure there are more than your two friends named with that in your area
@@spiralrose True....there could have been some old man named Mike in the area that died that night? It sure scared the two Mikes I was walking with though. lol
ive heard and seen a woman in white(different occasions), dunno if she was a banshee. But rather than cry/wail it was an echoed laughter... the three of us that were there, were all 21. when i saw the banshee(woman in white), she tapped me on my left shoulder and woke me up but all she did was smile. Still so terrified..... Any clues to what it means??? Please help
I'm a paranormal investigator and a couple of times a year we spend weekends at Ducketts Grove in Carlow. The Ducketts had a banshee which has been seen in what's known as the banshee garden. Usually at midnight on the Saturday night I do what's known as an alone vigil in the banshee garden hoping to make contact
My ancestors could predict death. I heard her mooing like a cow outside the window on a busy road. It was relentless. I think she predicted the COVID-19 epidemic or maybe a death. I pray to the death saint Santisima Muerte and i have witchy powers also. ☘️🍀😻💜☠️
I would like to believe it because as people I think we have a longing to believe in something after this life but it just seems like old stories passed on. I hope im wrong!
My surname is McMahon and the hag came and woke me up and stood beside my bed. Honestly, was she the Banshee? My roots are from Limerick... My dad and my sister have had visits from her also, she binds you so you can't move.
there is only 5 families that have a banshee and your surname isn't one of them but that's not to say it's not a particular entity attached to your family
Love how they used the statue..because that's exactly what the Catholic Mary is...semeramis and tamuz are falsely depicted as Jesus and Mary all over the world due to catechism (paganism camoflauged)

Aren't they suppose to warn you of someone's death though?
Kira Violette they’re neither good nor bad but they are considered terrifying.
And yes, to hear the cry is the herald of a death. The person who will die won’t hear it though.
