      @@cameroncattery8064 they'll be in probably around December, but I'm picking mine up around March. Don't have a garage yet so I'd rather just wait a bit till snow starts melting a bit so it doesn't sit outside during this winter.

      Me three haha, how does the VX HO handle heavy chop? I know the Seadoo GTX has around 16 degree V haul design. I also want to know how sporty the GTX is in the turns.

      When review the units when we get the chance. The 2020 GTX Ltd. 300 wasn't available to the public until Sept. of '19, we rode it a month ago.

      The Watercraft Journal how did the VX HO compare to the GTX? Which one handled the chop better? I know the Seadoo GTX has around 16 V haul. Is the GTX worth the extra money and horsepower? Is the GTX as nimble as the VX HO or more fun than the VX HO?

    Can't decide between this craft (2021), or the GP 1800r HO( 2021). I'm a first time buyer, and rider. I live on a bay (Rhode Island), and short ride out to open ocean. I like the tilt, and trim on the GP. Does the new GP have Cruise Assist? Would one machine have an advantage over the other in you opinion? Open to any suggestions. Really like all your reviews. Thanks

    • @watercraftjournal
      @watercraftjournal  Před 4 lety

      Yes, both the HO and SVHO versions have Cruise Assist. Really, the difference between the VX Cruiser HO and the GP1800R HO are now weight, a slightly larger glove box opening, and no tilt - all on the VX. The GP/HO will have less weight (which also means it won't soak up the bumps as well as the VX), a tighter glove box door (the box itself is the same size), and tilt steering.

    Hey Kevin I have 2 seadoo jetskis and was thinking of buying another one but thinking of going with Yamaha this time . I was thinking of buying the vx cruiser ho with the 1.8 litre engine , was just enquiring do these Yamaha jetskis come with a vts. I love my seadoos but I would like to add a Yamaha to the collection . I was thinking maybe going for the gti 170 But I'm thinking of buying the Yamaha just to have both makes . Which one would you recommend. I just use the skis for for a bit of touring and I have a spark 3up for some fun .

    • @watercraftjournal
      @watercraftjournal  Před 4 lety +1

      There's a reason we gave the VX Cruiser HO the "Watercraft of The Year" last year. Actually, there's several reasons - although, NO there is not trim control on it.
      The new GTI SE 170 is a great machine, but it is the first year run of an entirely new machine - new hull/deck, new engine, etc.

  • @FlightLogProductions

    Looking at a VX Cruiser HO OR a GP1800R HO, can you guys offer any insight , I've watch both of your reviews on these 2 models. They sound virtually the same except the hull material? I'm guessing the GP1800R HO has a higher performance Ride Plate and Intake grate? But what are the other direct differences? Is one better for a Big Guy than the other? Is one more stable for riding 2-up? (Coming from a '96 Seadoo GSX, that is incredibly unstable for 2-up riding and almost impossible to reboard in deep water). Thanks!

    • @watercraftjournal
      @watercraftjournal  Před 4 lety +1

      Good question: The material differences between the VX Cruiser HO and GP1800R HO are yes, NanoXcel vs. NanoXcel2. Equally, the GP HO has the high performance intake grate and ride plate. It also has electric trim. The VX Cruiser HO is heavier, has a traditional VX ride plate and intake grate, and also comes with Cruise Control and No Wake Mode.

      The VX/GP came out in 2015; that means you won't see a redesign until 2024 at the earliest.

      It's terrible on the hull, once theres a scratch, water works its magic to peel the paint back. Didnt stop me from buying a second one though.
