You forgot to mention the weight . I work on all PWC and they are all heavy . Something that some don’t realize when your in a beached situation- you cannot drag it off , full of fuel they are over 1000lbs

You do Great Reviews! Love watching them! I have a 2011 Yamaha VX Deluxe, and a 2021 GP 1800R HO. Both extremely reliable! I'm thinking about getting a 2025 with the new 1.9 Litre engine? Thanks for pointing out the "T.D.E" feature, I'll have to try it! FYI there is also a "Reverse Assist" feature you might want to point out? To activate : Squeeze the RIDE lever to the fully open position, and then push the upper side of the "SPEED ADJUST" switch. Once the beeper sounds 3 times, and the reverse indicator is displayed, the engine speed will increase. The engine speed can be adjusted to two levels +1, and +2. CHEERS!

i've ridden every yamaha, you would be surprised how playful the fx is, definitely shocked me

Have about 20 hours on a 1.9L FX HO. Very impressed with the drivetrain but paint is still terrible with Yamaha

@@pajamatime5750 yes after about 3 weeks I noticed small paint missing from bottom of hull. This is my 5th waverunner and it’s consistently an issue that Yamaha refuses to address

@@pajamatime5750 I’ve never had a hull come apart because of the paint but still sucks having to touch it up all the time
That's why I stay with kawasakis.. The hulls otherwise I'd be on the Yamaha team. But too. Many horror stories with Yamahas hulls. Super dumb on their end to not fix that 5 to 10 lbs of weight in making a proper hull would not hurt anyone. And make it night and day difference.

The only real difference between this and my 2022 VX HO is the jet trim, cup holders and the ability to load a map in the larger display.

hopefully Yamaha comes out with an adventure style FX cruiser for 2025 - I'd really like to have the option of a windshield like seadoo does. If they don't I might be a seadoo man.
Wait for the 2026 models with Gel coat hull, not the car paint which it breaks. It's a shame, so close to be the perfect PWC. Kawi is under powered, and Sea doo ST3 hull it's so bad to control.

No, at full throttle with the wind and engine you can barely hear it
As long as I can hear it while sitting in my dingy attached and sitting in the middle of the lake with my beers in hand. That’s all that matters
that water jet shooter on the back of the yamaha's were made to pee on Seadoo's when yamaha passes them in the water. 🤣

@@duramaxadventures5832 no, the new 1.9 does not require premium fuel, only the super charged versions do, na 1.8 engines do not.

My 23 VX HO will do 65 MPH with me at 200 lbs. Also if I am not mistaken, the FX is only 1/2 inch wider than the VX. So cup holders and a couple inches in length is the only things I see different than the VX.

I had the first of the 1800cc engines on a 2009 Fx Ho Cruiser
Topped out at 64mph and could cover well over 150 miles on a full tank 70 litre.
Never had a problem with cylinder heads or heard of anyone else having them either, in the 9/10 year I owned it the only thing it needed was a new battery after 5 years.
All Yamaha have really done is copy Seadoo with all the flashy gadgets, which if you’re honest, you don’t really need on a ski.

Sucks that the 2024 HO's now use about the same amount of fuel as the SVHO 's do, defeating the purpose of the HO models...that 1.9 is a THIRSTY engine!
They fixed the problem of the paint coming off and peeling in the Hull ?And the most important thing did they fixup the issue whit oil getting in the head? is a oil pan issue . Yamaha is great but I don't understand why they haven't fixed that whit all the profits they make..20k with dealer fees and taxes More Whit the sho

Can you anchor these in mid lake or river?
Sure. Would be a little tricky as you would probably need to store it in the nose, which makes it hard to access. But it's definitely doable.
Why do jets skis not have a higher top speed?
Storage and hull paint are absolutely disgraceful compared to market lead
