    This video was extremely helpful for someone coming into the HR field. Learning great information regrading certification to get ahead in the field. I wasn’t aware of some of these certifications so this was a great eye-opener. Great video!

    Thanks for explaining the differences between the certification providers! I am finishing my degree in humanities and I will be seeking HR certification. I’ve worked in HR in the past although briefly. I have a passion for employee rights so I feel this path is right for me.

    Hi! Thank you so much for the info provided here. I found it very helpful, however. I have a question. I have a BS in African American Studies and Masters in US History. I am interested in diving into the D&I field. However, would you suggest the aPHR in addition to an D&I certificate or simply D&I or aPHR certificate paired with my education to secure a a great opportunity? I would love to hear your take on this!

    Hello, i am a military servicr member and currently working as a Navy Personnel Specialist dealing pay, transfer, and personnel service matters. Right now i am getting ready to take some college to be prepared for HR career, however, i need guidance on what degree and school should i take. I have got 2 years on my service, probably would enough time to earn a bachelor before i am getting out. Is possible to get a job, and college while earning when i get out, if so, what should I do to be prepared for that. Much apreciated.

    So, in trying to review for myself, as someone with no previous HR jobs, but a comm major, an aPHR certification would be the certification I should go for first?

      Hey unpopularr, the aPHR certification from HRCI is a great choice to start off with.
      Also, I wouldn't let the lack of certifications keep you from applying for entry-level HR positions. You potentially could have the company pay or reimburse you for the certification.

      CIPD certifications are a globally recognized standard, so they are acceptable within the US. Many US HR practitioners may be more familiar with SHRM and HRCI. It depends upon the individual and the employer to decide what certification suits them. A certification is a great way to learn more to become an incredible HR professional, so no knowledge is wasted, regardless of the certification someone chooses.

      I have a political science degree and I’m studying to get an aPHR certificate. This is for people with no HR experience and you can be competitive for HR internships, which can translate to jobs.

    Hi, I’m a graduate of Human Resource but in the Philippines 5 years ago, I only have 7 months of experience of it back in my country, now, I’m here in California, I still want to practice being an HR professional but it seems it’s almost different here from the Philippines, will HRCI Certification help get me a job?
