Are you sure SHRM is older than HRCI? As far as I know, HRCI is 40 years old a d SHRM is 8 years old. Please check if you've got them interchanged.
In past both are same but they devided into 2 parts SHRM and HRCI

These certifications are being conducted by the US based institutions and course framework also revolves around US market situation as far as labour laws and compliances are concerned. So is it feasible for Indian professionals to do these certifications, is it valid for us, how is going to impact our career progression. Please through some light. Regards
Dear, Indians can def. do these certifications, but as I mentioned in the video as well, these are not worth taking of you are in early years of your career, these are more of a "badge" that you might want to add to your profile much later.. these are not something that you need to get a job or grow in a job, your skills will matter the most...

Dear, yes they are helpful if you have acquired the required skillset in that training, if anyone takes it just for the sake of certificate then its of no use.

He wants to change his job but not getting good growth. He is in the dilemma that because of his MSW-HR degree, he is not getting good responses from other companies. @@sheetalrawal9962 Dear if has 7 years of working HR exp, and not getting good role/growth ahead, its not because of his degree.. do not waste time thinking that, after this much of exp, your skills speaks much louder than degrees... ask him to take up different projects in his same job, which can add value and diverse the portfolio and keep looking for best opportunity..

Would the aPHR: be a decent starting point for me? I am debating changing careers from construction to possibly recruiting. I have some education, but no degree. At this point I am not willing to go back to college. I'm in my mid 40's and I'm not sure I would benefit from a degree.
Dear, these certifications are more of honor badges when you already have some knowledge in HR, I won't recommend it to any beginner, specially in recruitment its of no use.. no one asks for certifications from a recruiter who is just starting out..
