After the very stressful day I've had dealing with nincompoops, recalcitrant computers and very sick people I had no choice but to indulge in a large single malt in the 'quiet room' with a dose of Narrowboat Journeys to calm my turbulent brain. Thank you.

Just thought i would mention the memorial next to the bridge. It marks the spot where a chap i used to work with died. He was one of the guys that trained me when i was an apprentice. Every time i pass that bridge i always say "i remember you Jim" he was a great friend and mentor.

Thank you. I was wondering about it. I have no local knowledge of this area.

2X speed is OK. Some other folks use something faster that's very jerky and they put the cameras on themselves looking like very badly rum string puppets. Often I have to turn them off because it hurts my eyes and I can't enjoy the view. Your 2X is quite smooth and I can enjoy the view. Happy New Years!

We live in Nuneaton, and have friends and acquaintances with narrow boats. There’s so much I could tell you about that stretch of canal. The bridges common to find a fridge under your boat are 23, cat gallows and vernons lane/ bumblehole. My father in law was born in the cottage adjoining bridge 24, his dad was superintendent lengths man. Like the rickity telegraph pole? Doubt it will stand much longer, just after it on the towpath in the dredging sand bridge rubble in the remains of a yellow mk3 cortina estate, wheels up. Tuttle hill windmill is up on the left.(stump) love your vids.👍 Tim & Nat, Nuneaton.

Narrowboat Journeys unfortunately, no one I know knows why it’s called that, even the local history group couldn’t shed any light on it. It’s the foot bridge that joins the allotments. But I think Nicholson’s tells you that. There are also various old wharfs that are just visible around the area where the telegraph post is, and the arched overflow. Bridge 27 is a favourite place of ours, and the lane towards caldecote has an ancient oak by it opposite an old cottage. The new buildings you commented on are on the old Nuneaton boroughs ground, and the ones on the left are on the sight of limekilns, by wash lane bridge(21)

Hi Phil Considering the time of year when you filmed this, Looking at the weir's and spilways there ain't much water going over them I think we are in for a dry summer.Cheers
