Time for another adventure, and this time, we are moving for 5 weeks in Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa.
After a quick two hour flight from Nairobi to Bole International Airport, we finally left the terminal for the first time ever after passing through so many times. At a first glance, Addis seems like a great place to be. Great roads, large amount of trees and lots of friendly people. I also have to add that Addis Ababa is probably cleaner than Canadian cities like Toronto and Montreal!

Welcome to Ethiopia. I am Ethiopian living in Maryland. The groceries at Fantu super market are expensive, even for us come back home with dollars 😅 because most items are imported and they are jntented for non-locals and tourists. My suggestion for you is to go to chain supermarkets like Queens and Shoa who are much cheaper and are catering for locals. Enjoy your stay and I am about binge watching your contents. 😊

Your country could take off like a rocket ! For example, food processing exports to China, India, South East Asia could be huge.Then focus on other engineering and manufacturing , which could utilize millions of college graduates.

But Addis is wider and has amazing area than you covered by your video. If you have a chance please try to coved Merkato, Piazza, Megenagna and other parts of Addis.

Hey! Welcome to Ethiopia, guys. I'm curious to know, I see you used a drone for some of your footage. How was the process of bringing it into the country? To my knowledge, you pay some crazy amount at customs, but still need a license for it? Would appreciate any info you can give me.
I actually did not. I had to pay to license footage. The process is literally impossible. I gathered all the paperwork needed and then the governmental website provide an email address to send the request but that said email bounces back every time...
And they do scan everyone's luggages prior to exiting the airport so don't risk it either.

5:23 These kind of insurances are maybe special/extraordinary for American citizens (because that's how it looks when I see you talking about it), but here in Europe these are pretty normal. They are called (directly translated into English): short-term travel insurance and continuous travel insurance. With or without "world coverage". Standard is coverage for Europe. And there are a lot of other extra options available (all the ones you mention). These insurances are being offered by all health insurance companies (your own health insurance company f.e.), but also by other insurance companies (car, life, home insurance etc).
It's common for us too. This is just the most flexible and extensive you can get. That's all.
