- The fact that a massive capital city like Addis Ababa in Ethiopia has a luxury camp which makes you feel like you are in the middle of the forest, is simply amazing! This is Kuriftu Resort and Spa on Mount Entoto.
For only $100usd per night per tent, you get a very cozy canvas tent similar to what you would get in a luxury safari camp anywhere in Africa. With a comfy bed, hot water, electric blanket and the fresh air, you're going to sleep like a baby.
But this is not all. Mount Entoto in Addis is the ultimate entertainment center. With your stay, you'll have access to the sauna, hot tubs and relaxing area of the fantastic Forest Spa. This facility is one of the most beautify made spa complex we have ever seen. But that is far from being all you can do on top of Mount Entoto! They have restaurants, shops, a go-kart track, rock climbing, tree parkour, ziplining, paintball and so much more. If you have kids, are like us are kids at heart, you're going to have the best time!
Also, remember that when in Ethiopia, eat like Ethiopians. The "international" food at the Kuriftu restaurant is very average compared to the DELICIOUS Ethiopian food, especially the tibs with injera that they serve. Don't forget to finish your meal with a typical Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony as well.

I AM ETHIOPIA WELL COME THANKS VISIT MY COUNTRY ENTOTO MY FAVORITE PLACE RELAX AND REFRESH MY MIND
Please don’t go outside of Addis, it’s not safe. There is civil war going on. I’m Ethiopian I probably have better information than u when it comes to safety, the main news media doesn’t talk about it, please take care urself!!!!
how much do you get paid??? coffee discovered in ethiopia
Just came back from Bali, a lovely place, with worse traffic than Nairobi, due to narrow roads fantastic hospitable people
I visited Addis in may 2023 and loved Ethiopia and the people. Great and very positive vidio. Bravo to you both!
Thanks a lot Alfred! :)
As a Kenyan who's been to Ethiopia several times, I knew that you would enjoy Ethiopia and surely I wasn't wrong. Entoto park is on another level kudos to the creative mind of Dr Abiy Ahmed whose ideas has helped transform Addis Ababa into a world class city. I hope to set a few days to visit this place when I visit Ethiopia next time. What a nice vlog.
That place is super nice indeed. They should built a little camp like that in Karura Forest!
@@DaveMani In Kenya such a camp cannot be built because Ethiopia having previously been a communist country, the Ethiopia government owns virtually all the land including forests and can do whatever it likes with the land. Kenya on the other hand having been a democratic capitalist country with strong environmental conservation organisations , public land including forests cannot be tampered with easily hence an idea to build a camp at Karura forest as noble as it may, will be met with court injunctions from those environmental organisations.
😄😄
Thanks 🙏 Dr. Abiy.
that spa looks incredible !!
It really was!
I agree. 👌
We need MORE vlogs in Ethiopia. You are spreading positive energy for everyone here and both of you are so kind. Do you have more vlogs in Ethiopia ?
3 more to come!
- Omo Valley
- Lalibela
- Best Hotel in Addis (with our final thoughts about the country).
@@DaveMani you have to visit Bahir Dar and Gondar, there is a lot to visit. castle, old monastery, the highest mountain...etc
Guys, Rain in Entoto is a vibe. Top tier camping experience in my opinion 😂 the thing i miss the most about Ethiopia is that chanting in the morning. Makes me feel like i have god watching over me.
We truly like the experience! :) cute spot for sure. 100%
I wish I were an Ethiopian. Great people, food, coffee, scenery...❤
Ethiopia is amazing :)
We love you. Forme ethiopia.in swisland. Pan africain.
When you see a couple finishing sentences for one another or saying things in unison, they're truly soul mates❤
😍
Hi Dave and your wife
This place looks like jupitor, other planet than our earth. It is good for tourists to visit this area. Thank you for visiting the nice place in Ethiopia.
It indeed a super nice spot! :)
Ethiopia 🇪🇹 is amazing. 😍
Yes it is!!
for foreigners, yes. NOT for locals!
So happy to see you guys having fun and great weekend at Entoto❤️❤️. Yeah the English language barrier is high in Ethiopia than any other African country because we never been colonized with any western or foreigners, unlike All other African countries. Basically pretty much most of everything is indigenous which is the main factor for most people to don’t care much to know English language.
Nothing wrong with that! 👍🏼 Visitors need to understand that this is Ethiopia and it works that way. 🇪🇹
This is the most positive vibe couple I ever saw. Even though on this mountain on Sunday morning there is unbearable chanting comes from the church on the mountain, they didn't say a word. How respectful and politically correct they are. Amazing practice ! The world need more of those kinds of bloggers 😍🥰😍
Wow, thank you so much for your kind words 💕
So you people are Canadian I suppose. And I recently visited Toronto and it was a wonderful experiance to see your gorgeous country. And I am pleased that you like my country Ethiopia. Stay blessed folks and I will follow and recomnd others to keep an eye on you. Have fun in Addis Ababa (New Flower) 🥀😆

Thank you both of you ❤
Its a very nice area for sure. ❤️🇪🇹 But this camp is in Addis tho.
10:30 😂i feel you bruh ..i as a muslim living surrounded by 3 orthodox churches just in just 2 km sq. area, we keep hearing the kiddase sound almost every single night. sometimes even my little sister keeps repeating after it. 😂
yeah... It's quite something haha.
😂😂Bro you brought good memories with that story. My family are Orthodox Christians and we used to live around Torhayloch area, near the mosque. We used to hear every azaan from that mosque. My siblings and me memorized it so well that we would repeat it back. Our parents were amazed and laughing by it. 😂😂That is one of the beautiful things about Ethiopia in my opinion.
That spa looks incredible !!😅😅
It really was man!!!
During my school days, we used to get rained on almost everyday during rainy seasons. And our parents used to lie to us that if you get rained on you get taller! So this is your chance Dave & Tracy! Receive those height blessings!😂
Hahaha the thing is, it was not even rainy season loll...
The rainy season has officially started in Ethiopia.
For sure!
You couple are so cool and gives love . 😊
Thanks :)
So amazing 😊
Thanks 😄
I hope my ethiopian ppl will treat you good and wish you both a good memorable stay

Wow I can feel how amazing so fresh 😍
Yeah! :)
Beautiful places
Yes they are!
You guys making me feel like I missed out on a lot when I went to Ethiopia. How did you plan the whole trip? I was there at Mount Entoto and I didn't even scratch the surface it seems.
We do LOTS of research before heading to a new country.
Welcome to ethiopia ❤
Hey much appreciated!
12:48 I would not have been that chill and elegant with my tongue burning 😂😂
🤣🤣
super positive couples... we love you! keep up the good work. you had a little bit of Ethiopian in your blood when it comes to Ethiopian food.
Hey thank you so so much! :)
Great job guys
Thanks :)
You guys 👌👍🙏
Thanks John :)
Come back home we have really missed you ❤
I've been here for over a week :)
Hey, you need to try the traditional Ethiopian meal called doro wot (spicy chicken stew). It is incredibly good!!!
We actually did. Super good! We ate a ton of Ethiopian foods during our stay haha.
@@DaveMani oh, that is great! :) and thanks for your lovely videos!
Is so good❤❤❤❤
Yeah! ❤️👍🏼
So cool :)
We think so!
The place looked soo familiar to me. Then I got the answer - it's full of Australian plants - the canopy plant seems to be Tasmanian Blue Gums
I didn't know that :p
Have you guys tried TEJ and AREKE??? which are local alcoholic drinks. It is really alcoholic.💚💛❤
I don;t think so. I did try some unfiltered beer on the side of the road in Lalibela tho haha.
I love walking very much. I have watched some Ethiopian videos, and I have seen how they make their coffee, it is strooong. Rain should always stick to nights. Tents are wonderful, sometimes we get tired of our usual 4 walls. 5:43 is amazing. The music is out of this world and the editing wonderful. 200 bucks for a presidential suit is fair. I see french fries, eggs, I am happy. That is a lovely park for sure. I smiled a lot.❤❤❤
Thanks a lot for the feedback as usual! :) And if you find a way to make it rain only at night, let me know! hahaha
@@DaveMani 😂😂😂
I'm really Julius ❤you guy's are awesome 👌 I'm from Ethiopia sorry you have to go through the language barrier

I love my country but it’s literally impossible to avoid the Orthodox Church and the Muslim mosques chanting. We have them on every corner lol. You will just get use to it after a while ❤

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Amazing!
To travel is to eat ..... or is it the other way around 🤔
Anyway, still enjoying from my couch 👍
Hahaha it works both ways I think :P
👍👍👍
Cheers!
❤❤❤

I believe that you are all becoming very close to Ethiopians, and out of all the places you have been, this country is the best use of your time. I just have a small comment about the issue of the English language barrier. In my opinion, you believe that everyone in the world should speak or understand English. However, language is simply a means of communication - there shouldn't be a hierarchy attached to it. That is my opinion, and I apologize if it was offensive.
We for sure don't believe that at all but comparing to all the other African countries we have visited, Ethiopia was the hardest for us in terms of language. That does not mean that I think Ethiopian should learn english or not. It was just an observation. In fact I think its important for the country to preserve such a unique language. 🇪🇹👍🏼
@@DaveMani Well, thank you for your reply. I agree with your observations regarding preserving general language. In my opinion, learning some of the local language wherever you visit is part of the fun of traveling rather than asking to learn a language that may not be relevant. To be honest, trying to speak a bit of every language wherever you go adds excitement to the experience. Bear in mind comparing Ethiopia to other African countries, it is observed that in daily life, most of them use English as their office language which they inherited from their colonial masters.🙏
@@DaveManiremember we are not Colonized & it’s a choice to learn English in my country.
Thanks for coming to my motherland Ethiopia 🇪🇹 ✌️
Go To Arbaminch, you will be impressed
Next time for sure!

As a visitor to Ethiopia, it's important to respect and appreciate the cultural and religious practices of the country. The morning prayer conducted by the Ethiopian Orthodox Church holds great significance for the local people and plays a vital role in blessing the country and ensuring the safety of its citizens and visitors alike. It is not simply a "disturbing chanting," but rather a deeply rooted religious practice.
The morning prayer is intended to keep everyone, including foreign visitors, safe during their stay in Ethiopia. It is a way of invoking blessings and safeguarding the country from harm. Rather than complaining about this traditional practice, it would be more appropriate to understand its importance and significance within the local culture.
Comparing the morning prayer to noise pollution or labeling it as a disturbance is unfair and disrespectful. Just as emergency sirens in your home country play a crucial role in saving lives, the morning prayer in Ethiopia serves a similar purpose. It is a means of ensuring the well-being and security of all individuals residing in the country.
Instead of complaining, it would be better to embrace the rich cultural diversity of Ethiopia and recognize the positive intentions behind the morning prayer. By doing so, you can have a more meaningful and enjoyable experience while staying in the country.
It's important to remember that tolerance, respect, and open-mindedness are key when visiting any foreign destination. Rather than feeling disappointed or insulted by differing practices, let's strive for understanding and appreciation of one another's traditions and beliefs.
After reading your comment, I watched that part again, and I think you got it wrong. If you watch all their videos, they've been nothing but respectful of the country and culture.
As to chantering, they just simply talked about their night experience.
Give them credit for the night they had and their positivity.
Thanks a lot for the background on this. We were for sure respectful about it, it simply took us off guard in the middle of the night.
This place is for tourist to visit, if you were visiting and woken up by chanting at 3am you would be confused too. It’s the hotels fault for not letting them know what to expect

why you didn't ask one of them to take you to the tent? or you want to try by yourself? 💚💛❤
When it was raining? There was only waiters at the restaurant and no cars. We also called the camp twice and nobody was answering the phone...
