The amount of charisma behind those mics is staggering, especially when Sam comes in. You guys are swiftly swaying my bromance man crush your way gentlemen. lol
Great job guys. And fuck yeah to Sam popping in. He is such a genuine person. I can't think of anyone off hand who is more sincere and no-bullshit. And he's talented af.
Thank you for what you guys do. I must say this for the podcast (and I could be in the minority) but I enjoy the ramble and sidebar conversations. I watch your channels for the true distilled/scripted knowledge. I just enjoy see you guys as people. -Cheers
2 minutes into the video and Jon has already downed 2 shot bottles of Fireball! This is either going to be a really good or really bad thing for the podcast!
I'll have to pay closer attention to the schedule next year. Missed this. And seeing this certainly explains why Jon was a little slow to accept the mini-bottle I offered later in the con.
Man coming back to this after this year's Adepticon is so funny when Scott says he is definitely going to be entertaining something for competition lol. Good stuff wanted to rewatch to prep myself for this years Adepticon live
Uh oh. It's only just started and the Fireballs are FLYIN'! I foresee not being able to get through this one...I'll give it a chance, but drunk energy when you're not inebriated is very grating.
@@em3sis Cutting loose on one day of your vacation maybe 2 times a year is not having a problem. Jon wasn't escorted out of the con, he didn't get into a brawl, and his bedroom was upstairs. He had a little too much to drink and had a good time.
@@RoofusKit alght sir lance-a-lot calm down. didn't mean to disrupt your parasocial relationship. I don't really care if he does or doesn't have a problem but this is like his 3rd/4th live show where he is pretty messed up so I wouldnt be surprised if there's an addiction under the surface. That's really between him and his family though.
“Where do you see yourself in 10 years Sam?” was pretty savage… props to you lady 😂 Haven’t lived in Wisconsin in 15 years but I’m glad everyone is still a shameless alcoholic…
Always a joy to listen and watch! There was some fantastic advice in this episode that everyone can take in some way shape or form. Thanks for the honesty and thanks for a great time! 👍
LMAO Sam!! You killed me with your "Do I put my mouth...around it??" 🤣🤣 On a serious note, It was so lovely to listen to your encouraging words, and wisdom. Wish I could have attended this year. Cheers!
Dude! Anyone else worried about Jon and his compulsive public drinking? People already like you Jon, you are interesting and funny. You do not need to drink to make people around you happy, nor to enjoy yourself.
Love this theory , i have been having troubles with gold on my ultramarines after about a month it dawned on me to take my necklace off and work on imitating what i could see
Loved the podcast Sam was great but… Jon Easy on the drink U were lost at the end and honestly I felt sad for u Scott was trying to keep it together but it felt like ur drinking was undermining the show and was a distraction
I think Sam’s apocalypse may have been brought on by those Giant Sloths. They were so focused on whether or not they could, that the didn’t ask whether or not the should!
I feel very "seen" at one point in this video.....I am 60 years old and primarily an historical wargamer. I am open to talk about that stigma and what can be done to change it and maybe get some new blood into historicals.
Those guys nagging about Jon having a few Fireballs over his thirst are the sole reason why we can't have nice things. Being on vacation, drinking with your friends once in a while, and being the dork that you are is completely okay. He is a grown man, and if this episode is not your cup of preferred beverage, there is a lot of YT here that you can find to suit your needs. If I were in the position of Jon and Scott, I would have this kind of episode solely offline for the people who were there. Without it appearing on YT or other platforms. Keep up your great work. This episode was really entertaining and as someone who was not able to be there as I am from Germany I really enjoyed getting a glimpse at Adepticon and my share of hanging out with the goody peepees and dewsuckers. Stay the way you are, don't let naggers get their way.
I know Jon is playing into his Conjon personality a little and I don't want to tell other people how to live or what to do, but as a viewer and long time listener, Jon's drunkenness to the point he forgets how to end the podcast is a bit disappointing. This doesn't even feel like he's okay. I think he was stressed about everything related to his piece and whatnot, but 600mL of "whiskey" in 90 minutes...
Watching this whole show, this is what caused Ninjon his disappointment at not winning a GD. People there were over-hyping his chances of winning. Having been in the hobby for 30 years, I can honestly say the piece wasn't good enough. The dark side didn't translate well, the trees were ignored, and there was no real story being told. Where you focused your time, the fronts, was fantastic. Maybe next time do a smaller piece where the whole piece gets the "front" treatment? I'm certain next GD you'll come out with a trophy.
Some of the comments here are a little negative about Jons behaviour. They’re talking about the last half hour when the booze hits him hard. Their is nothing wrong with having fun. It’s tough to talk in front of a large crowd. It’s most people number one fear. Never use booze as a crutch to handle nerves and anxiety. Be kind on the internet.
Jon's drinking is a bit much, I know they're at a con but his drunken rambling and constant messing with the bottles is distracting, tbh. I honestly just kinda feel bad for Scott because it feels like he is having to carry the entire thing on his own. There's a time for drunken rants but maybe this isn't one of those times. There are some great questions being asked and Scott is a really insightful guy only to have Jon kind of drunkenly upstaging everything for what reason exactly? Some sort of early-days rooster teeth-esque "bad boy" clout? That's how it comes across and it's disappointing.
I put it on being nervous to being in front of so many people. Its the worse tactic to choose but many make that mistake in the first years of being successfull on stage. But i am totally with you the slurring is a bit too obvious.
Oh no. Jon doesn't have to work as hard as he usually does one day out of the year? He constantly carries the fucking podcast because he paints about 9× more models on trapped under plastic. The fuck are you babbling about? He carries this entire podcast every other day. You clearly aren't paying attention here.
All I saw was an adult doing adult things and providing content and entertainment for free, btw. The guy puts out so much content and again, free, btw, i feel like he can enjoy himself. He's at a convention, with friends and people he doesn't get to see often, hes having a good time. The con isn't a job, hes not being paid to be there. Its a vacation where he can be silly. Why a handful of people fail to realize that is beyond me.
All the negative comments about Jon is sickening. He worked hard on his project and it was there in the case and he feels pressured to win a golden demon, it was probably winding up all of that and having fun with his friends. Seriously, get a life and mind your own business
You know you've hit hard times when your whole personality is : OMG im so badass because im vulgar and wear sunglasses inside! Look im also a drunk and need to display in infront of me! Seriously, you have one guy trying and the other bringing down the show.
Yeesh, a bit extreme. I was here for this and Jon was super stressed about his Golden Demon entry and also sleep deprived from working on it for the weeks and days leading up to the event. He finally was letting himself relax. These guys are on vacation and letting loose. It is what it is and maybe you've gotta be there, but it wasn't obnoxious because a third of the audience had a drink in their hands. It was also filmed at like 9 or 10pm.
Jon carries the podcast every other day of the year. Not sure if you are a regular or not but it's actually the opposite on every other fucking episode. So give Jon a break dude.
The three of you - Miniac, Ninjon and Sam Lenz should be getting on the mic together more often. It was great. You made my day guys!

My favourite part about these live episodes is watching Jon slowly descend from Buzzed to Drunk and the chaos that ensues with it is fantastic.
Roman: Best tip from Jon: "Breathe deep and allow yourself satisfaction! " Thanks guys, enjoyed the podcast a lot!
It's funny knowing the results of the painting contest. BTW, very happy to hear Scott is enjoying painting more.

Good one, gentlemen. Thanks for putting this together. Missed Sam a lot, so it's nice to catch up as well.
Sometimes Scott looks like he's thinking, "yeah Jon's not getting away with this shit again."
This was definitely one the highlights of the con for me. 🤘 was a blast.
Great Q & A and awesome live audience!
Saddened by the lack of a Fireball count at the bottom of the screen.
That is why the empties were displayed on the table.
Uh oh. It's only just started and the Fireballs are FLYIN'!
I foresee not being able to get through this one...I'll give it a chance, but drunk energy when you're not inebriated is very grating.
Conjon is maybe a bit alcohilijon lol
He definitely has a problem lol
Bert Kreischer ruined my boi!
Listen conjon is here for a good time

When is Jon gonna start streaming?
Also, love that Jon starts spitting out deeper and more philosophical answers after the third fireball or so
Ayyyy you guys mentioned my Dairy Queen Knight 🎉😂
Jon drank 6 fireballs and everybody was just listenning to him talk about ghostbusters
Love this theory , i have been having troubles with gold on my ultramarines after about a month it dawned on me to take my necklace off and work on imitating what i could see
After watching this video, I have been motivated to enter Golden Demon in 2024. I don’t expect to win, but I will give it my all.
😂 since watching your podcast I've been thinking about competitive painting
Tommy knockers is steven king as far as I recall, great film
Fast and loose !! Going to get some fireball right now
Confucius says "nothing that we do that is easy gives us enough satisfaction as things that we do that are hard". Love it.
Seriously thought Jon was going to breakout into Gangnam Style only a couple of minutes in 😂
Expecting future skits 😂
Conjon might need to find some rehabjon lol
Omg emulating artists 2d works and emulating realistic 3d works is a huge factor to modelling over all the industry ie not just mini's
Roman: Sam? Arigato for your kind words!
Office Space FTW

I'll be another hand up next year when you ask who is new. I hope the community grows out, but not up. Love it y'all.
I have been so hyped for this!
Someone call the cops, Sam Lenz stole the show and is on the run. Loved it, so many laughs.
My takeaway: Sam Lenz has crabs.
Morbius is not a bad movie, its fine. But agree morbius is baller charachter!
Omg FINALLY! YT has been blessed!
I think Sam’s apocalypse may have been brought on by those Giant Sloths. They were so focused on whether or not they could, that the didn’t ask whether or not the should!
Nice one lads!!
Sam Lenz with all those big sentences leading into air. But nice podcast, thanks Scott
fuckin love you guys! You definitely inspire me.
Yes Jon, come to Ottawa, Canada's Wargaming and Mini Painting capital (and also, like, National Capital or whatever)

obviously its the Dodo and the tendy restaurant would be ScoJo Dodo, and would feature the blast from the past special
addendum: The ScoJo Dodo Dojo...
Goddamnit i totally missed this..
Lenz is way bigger than I thought he was. Little handsy though. Good show guys.
Maybe less Fireball for Conjon
Yo Scott you seen the 80's sci-fi movie "Arena" it's a so bad it's good movie, but it's one of my favourites.
I haven't!! I'll add it to my watch list!
Hype hype hyyyyype!
Damn, hurt my feelings with the PP comment. 😶

Focus on gaming over painting its a lot more enjoyable to hear about.
Not going to buy another mini non-agnostic game system.
