Well, i can say the same here.The land of smiles is the place to be in. I fell in love within a week and a half in this beautiful country back in February 2022.
Luckily for me, i had a girlfriend who walked out on me on boxing day after 8 years, and i realised why, but that's another story.
A friend of mine has been visiting Thailand for years and he told me to check it out and i owe him one for telling me about Thailand.If he didn't tell me i would still be in the UK but very glad that I'm not.
I sold up everything i could and rented my flat with a reasonable rent coming in.
So I'm here retired and staying with my Thai girlfriend in Bangkok, the city that never sleeps.
Life couldn't be better than this loving every minute of it. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

The 3 things that draw me to moving to Thailand are 1. As you said, the Thai Time. Much more relaxed and calm atmosphere. 2. The cost of living , my U.S. dollar goes pretty far their and eve in Pattaya or Jomtien rent is like 200-300 usd a month for a single person with decent accommodations(gym, pool, etc). 3. to meet like minded individuals who are searching for the same relaxing lifestyle and less western rat race lifestyle. I saw in another comment about how you guys saved and im doing the exact same thing im literally splitting my 2 jobs income by 50 percent and putting it all away every month so i can come visit semi-long term and see if i like it. The laid back atmosphere is awesome, works well 95% of the time, which in the grand scheme of things is a pretty good number!
For sure! We met a lovely Australian woman in bang Saray yesterday and she was saying she only spent a quarter of her pension a month living here which is phenomenal!
I (Franc) have never been the most social person, but being here, around people that tend to share a similar view makes it a lot easier to strike up convos and make new friends, which I’m really grateful for!
Well keep going and you’ll be here in no time. You have to be realistic, but you also just have to be brave and pull the trigger! Hope you find a happy medium and hope we run into each other once you’re living it up!

Do you have flexible online job? Can you please share some insight. It is an appealing option for me too. I cannot hold a 'normal' job and refuse to be slave to the 9 to 5 rat race. I need something online. Unfortunately my freelance writing income dried up due to AI and now I don't know what to do..

So the way we did it was living frugally for a year and a bit and working hard.
I (Franc) was lucky enough to get a high paying job (in my eyes) and we saved a lot. Now we’re making these videos and enjoying life!
We’ll be making a video soon on how it all happened.

Franc didn’t work in the mines because he liked it 🤣
It took us 12 months of saving and living very minimal lifestyles 😊
