    @ArlepouKlogs Thanks for the compliment! I know what you mean, I remember when I first started painting/collecting Dire Wolves a while ago, and nobody online had anything on how to do these little pups. Always happy to help inspire and motivate people to paint them up, since they're such great models!

    Thanks very much! Rust effects and verdigris aging will really make your skellies stand out. Its that extra effort that will make other players at your club stop and stoop down to get a closer look. =D

    I like to use blue sometimes as well, when you've got the red wash to help, it doesn't really matter if you don't have purple, I guess. Glad your wolves turned out well!

    I'm actually planning a Mortis Engine taetorial! Thanks for the compliment. I know the Mortis Engine will be an epic undertaking, so I'm filiming the unboxing and painting in steps. I also love the Dire Wolf models, they look so much better than GW's current Goblin wolf rider models. If only they gave them the Fenrisian Wolves size upgrade haha!

    Thank you so so much for posting these videos. I love watching them, they are soo helpful for when I paint my models. Every time I get something new I check to see if/how you do it. I always find a new effect to use or get inspired by your methods. So thank you so much. :)
    Also, I love these dire-wolves. They look so gory and gothic. So much better than the pictures in my codex.

      You're very welcome! Wow, what a great compliment, thank you for making my morning haha! I'm always happy to hear that I can inspire and motivate others in their painting. The Dire Wolves models are really among some of the best of the older Vampire Counts range. I completely agree: gory and gothic and very brutal looking. =D

    Hi! I would go with the ghouls because they generally are more versatile with their role in battle. Hahaha, its always good to have some doggies in your collection, though! They are great models!

    looking great! I've been painting some skaven, and i LOVE doing the rat ogres

  • @WarbossTae
    @WarbossTae  Před 12 lety

    Thank you! ! With all the flayed skin and gruesome detail on these models, it struck me as strange that GW wouldn't want to paint their showcase models as darker and more gory/bloody.

    Could you please do a taetorial on a Ethereal unit? like the Spirit host or hexwraiths, because I can't find any good Green/blue ethereal tutorials!
    Great video though! Love the wolfs model, and also the fact that it is huge comparred to any other wolf! I did mine in a Sickly green sheme!

    @TableTopPainting101 Thanks for the tip, I've never heard that before! Gonna definitely try it out. Will it work for any kinds of washes? Or only on certain areas (flesh vs. wood or metal)?

  • @Corrbin1
    @Corrbin1 Před 12 lety

    well I liked the tutorial. the way you painted the skin a more brownish color makes them look a bit moore aged than the box art which is great.

  • @TableTopPainting101ReddingCa

    @WarbossTae it works for all wash's find Les's death wing video so you can see what it will do for you

    • @WarbossTae
      @WarbossTae  Před 10 lety +1

      Hi! I guess I don't haha! I just took a look at the video and I think I left the skin darkened with the wash. I suppose if you'd like to, you could highlight the skin with either Steel Legion Drab (Graveyard Earth) or Cadian Fleshtone (Tallarn Flesh), but I kind of like it hahaha!
