    @isatoprince hehe thanks for watching! Don't worry, hopefully Krell will still be there the next time you go back. He's faithful like that, just waiting for the right painter to come along and raise him out of the depths of his Finecast grey to epic color awesomeness!

    @WarbossTae I like that you are now showing everything like when your painting instead of skipping to after you did that step. I enjoy the longer videos too!

    @pelihai100 Woohoo! =D
    Thanks for watching and supporting my channel! I agree, the sculpt is one of my favs in the whole GW range. Bravo! Now if only the guy came in solid, dependable metal, or clean crisp plastic instead of lame-o Finecast lol!

    I rarely buy mini's just to paint (as in I don't collect the army) but I will definitely make an exception for this guy, he's one of the most bad ass-evil-testosterone fueled mini's GW ever produced.

    Good stuff to paint with playing in the background!

    @MrDustinperry Thanks for the compliment! And for the liquid gold advice! I believe I'm subscribed to buypainted, but haven't checked my subscriptions lately as they fill up so fast for me to keep up. Krell would make a great gift for your brother =D

    @DruidicMender Me too! The gothic look and feel of the Vampire Counts range is really appealing, I think, and it helps that the models (especially now) are so dynamic, characterful, and well-done.

    @Twaalfvingerigedarm Thanks! Its there for people who don't want to listen to me ramble, or even talk, I guess! You could mute the sound and play your own music and just go by the annotations =D

    Thanks! I set up my camera on the left of my painting angle, which is why when you're watching it looks like I'm painting from the right side of the screen. It makes it hard sometimes to make the model as if its straight up and down in the screen, but I find its the only place to set up my camera's tripod. I don't have too much room in my current painting area for a better setup, unfortunately.
    As for brushes, I like to use both Citadel and Army Painter. I really like the AP detail ones!

    I'm looking into Vampire counts too as an army.I do have high elves but I always loved Vampires.

    I recently got Krell and although he is now primed and ready to paint, I was worried about ruining him because of the extreme detail but now after seeing this I'm pretty sure I can make a good job of this, thanks Tae

    • @WarbossTae
      @WarbossTae  Před 10 lety +2

      DO IT! Krell is one of the most intimidating figures out there, but believe me, once you get the paint flowing, he can be tamed! Don't let him frighten you! That's not a joke. There were times when I was painting him when I thought, "this is no good, I'm not going to do a good job, I should just quit and erase these videos." You can do it, my friend. Let me know how he turns out so we can laugh at how not scary he really was to paint! =D

    @Handegekke After the Devlan Mud, I used some Bleached Bone to highlight, gets rid of most of the yellow and transitions it to a more creamy color, then with a watered down wash of Dark Flesh and Chaos Black, and a little more highlighting, it ends up looking pretty awesome. Check it out in Part 3, as soon as its done uploading! =D

    @cyrussrulez Sure thing! Its called poster tac or blu tac (although I guess its not technically blue lol) you can get it from most department stores or hobby craft stores. Ask for it by those names, and you should be able to find it. Its something like a mix between puddy and green stuff, in that it never hardens, and stays sticky and malleable. Best of all, it lasts forever (or just about)!

  • @WarbossTae
    @WarbossTae  Před 12 lety

    @christhemodelpainter Thanks for answering, and for the informative feedback on the Vallejo liquid golds. I'm going to find out as much as I can so I know what I'm doing when I decide to start using it. Thanks again! I'll keep my eyes out for those vids, my friend!

  • @WarbossTae
    @WarbossTae  Před 12 lety

    well, I painted on and off for about three years since getting back into the hobby, but if you only paint a little each day or whenever you get the time, I bet the constant practice will help no matter what skill level you are at =D

  • @WarbossTae
    @WarbossTae  Před 12 lety

    Hi! I use a piece of cork that I got from a craft store for very cheap, then secured it to the model with a piece of blu tac, or poster tac, which I also bought from the craft store. =D

  • @WarbossTae
    @WarbossTae  Před 12 lety

    hahaha, good point! Unless you're drinking a large jug of it, though, a regular piece of cork from a wine bottle might be too small for the model to comfortably sit on =D

  • @WarbossTae
    @WarbossTae  Před 12 lety

    been looking forward to this series bud, just a great looking model itself, i might buy one just to paint it up and hand it to my brother since he wants to do a Vampire counts army anyways. i just need to get to a GW store or a store the sells GW products so i can look at the model before i buy it to get as little miscast as possible. gonna have to re-watch this one when i get home so i can sit and paint. hopefully only 8 more day till i get home.

    Another great video.... in answer to your question about vallejo liquid gold, i have used this on many occasions i believe you get a better coverage with it and it looks awesome but you are right it can ruin your brushes if you dont look after them. P.S. look out for some videos appearing on my channel inspired by you.

  • @WarbossTae
    @WarbossTae  Před 12 lety

    @Danowka ohs no! =D I might be evil, but I wouldn't ever be so heartless as to leave a Finecast failjob without trying to fix it lol!

    @WarbossTae Thanks, its going well , altho was wondering, with the cloak/hide part that is a bit yellow for my linking , allready did a heavy wash over it (from part 2) , but still a bit to yellow, whats your advise to make it abit more leather/rotten skin like? Or will that be in part 3?

    That Denheb stone goes on really well, you can tell visually it is far superior to Rakarth Flesh, i can get Denheb for around £9, ($13) a pot worth it ? i think so.

    • @WarbossTae
      @WarbossTae  Před 10 lety

      I will always love and prefer Dheneb Stone over Rakarth Flesh! But I don't know about that price, buddy! $13 is a little steep for paint! Have you checked eBay for Dheneb Stone?

    • @staygee1
      @staygee1 Před 10 lety

      I have and Unfortunately as you know it's getting scarce, and the sellers know this which is why the price keeps going up and up shame all good things come to an end i suppose :0(... Great taetorials btw after being away for a very long time they have eased me back in to the swing of things cheers !

      @WarbossTae  Před 10 lety +1

      staygee1 That's sad to hear...DAMN YOU, GW, FOR COMPLETELY GETTING RID OF DHENEB STONE!!! Well, I think now that it's becoming more of a collector's item, since you know you'll be using it for your models to get a really great effect, I would say it is worth the investment. Use it well, my friend! =D
