    Regardless of the health benefits, anyone with insulin resistance should be exercising caution with all dried fruit. Sugar, natural or otherwise, will cause an increase in secretion of insulin, contributing to insulin resistance and preventing fat burning. As the majority of the population is overweight or obese, this is an important factor to consider

      💯 agree.
      I eat fermented dates which has the effect of radically reducing the natural sugar but keeping the nutritional benefits otherwise.
      I make my own kefir so occasionally I de stone a pound of dates, place them in a jar and ferment a couple of pints of milk with cultures.
      The dates don't taste sweet when consumed like this and are a refreshing occasional dessert when straight from the fridge.

      I heard that dates have a low glycemic index, and it's being used in a syrup form to sweeten coffees or teas... Please research this yourself. It's good to check the GI on all foods đŸŒ·

They also have not provided any supporting research or evidenced based information that dates specifically will benefit all the body systems you mentioned. They are nutritional, but there are other foods that have similar nutrients to those mentioned in the video. This video is just a promotion for dates - possibly funded by a date producer??

    Ive been putting them in my tea to sweeten it with a couple slices of lemon and a tblsp of 6:23 fresh ginger. Ive been eating them since i was just a little kid, my Mom use to buy us date cookies, they were my favorite.     Dates and raisins are among my favorite dried fruits easily available thus affordable.
    Unfortunately, my wife and one of my daughter dont like 'em.
    Most probably because we are living in the tropic where other fruits & veges are in abundant.
    As a Muslim, we will get both the benefits and reward(pahala) because it is among the sunnah food.
    Dates, moringga and pineapple are among the 'superfood' that i eat on regular basis.
    However, its not recommended for severe diabetic patients.

    This is nothing more than a promotion of dates. I'm not questioning their nutritional value. I'm questioning the big calls being made here. There was a research study demonstrating the value of eating prunes for increasing bone density (partly funded by the prune industry, btw) with the conclusions drawn from the study that prunes had a direct impact on bone health. I would need to see the studies from which you are able to claim that eating dates will lead to significant health benefits that are "irreversible". I would urge people not to fall for these sorts of promotions. By all means, investigate further and try to find the research studies from which scientific conclusions have been drawn. If you love dates, eat them. But dried fruits do have some down sides so might not be for everyone. Eating a date, a brazil nut, a prune, a piece of broccoli is not going to give a solution to major health problems. An overall diet suited to you is where the benefits will flow.

This promotion does not include any research data that shows that dates particularly will address heart, bone, or other functional deficiencies or diseases. As an example, there was a study conducted a couple of years back with humans showing direct benefit to improving bone density in eating prunes. No such data is provided in this video so I’m saying it does not exist, therefore is somebody’s opinion, not proven fact. So you can save your sarcasm 
 I’m all for scientifically proven natural solutions and preventing conditions through an appropriate diet suited to the individual’s situation.

    It still spikes insulin, which is not good. You do Not need carbohydrates for your brain, Omega 3 fatty acids. Now do a breakdown of actual nutrients that are absorbed from a date, with blood work.
