A college physics teach of mine. He forgot to assign us homework for about two months. Then, two weeks before finals, realizes his mistake and assigns all two months worth of homework, saying that he'll grade it on a curve. Basically, whoever completed the most homework got 100% and everyone else's grade would be based off of that. Meaning, everyone had to scramble and figure out how much homework every person in the class had done.

Not a teacher , but my HS guidance counselor . back in my day your guidance counselor was in charge of what classes you took to meet your requirements to graduate.. I was informed that I needed a 9th grade science credit and a 9th grade english credit because the state I moved from curriculum didn't meet the standards for the state I moved to.. I found this out 3 weeks before graduation.. Had been at that school since the beginning of my 10th grade year , so this old coot that was about to retire totally dropped the ball and I didn't get my diploma until mid way through the summer after I completed some correspondence courses through Penn State..

    I've have:
    - a teaching assistant threatened to beat me (Yes, you read that right)
    - a math teacher said that he hoped we would fail
    - a teacher purposely fail me on assignments because of a broken picture frame that wasn't Even my fault
    - had several other teachers yell at me for having panic attacks
    - and had teachers & assistants go behind me and parent's backs on specific things we had talked about (I.e. leaving class early because the class became the hallways were always crowded)

I had cancer when i was 8 and a side effect of it is short term memory loss and i get burnout real easily. So i tried to take less courses per semester over what would've been 1 or 2 years over that of a "normal" person would take when i went to college (coincidentally to become a teacher myself). I was told by one teacher that "maybe these aren't the right type of classes for me". Another singled me out in class way more than all other students and berated me if i got even one part of the multiple step answers she wanted from me wrong. And my guidance counselor wanted to put me in more classes anyway even after i told her not to and she said that if i couldn't handle more classes per semester, i won't make it in the teaching profession and it would be best if i move on to something else instead because a "person like me would not be a good fit around children" aka being disabled. All these things combined in one year took it's toll and i sadly did give up as a result. Nobody thought that a disabled person could teach children and told me that to my face and i believed them.
Edit: I forgot about the time when a sub gave everyone think sheets because one student talked and they didn't know who it was so better punish all to make sure they got the offender. Then these sheets took priority over our work causing us to have more homework due to us not being able to do it in class. Yes think sheets in college.

Bullied me for 4 years and made my school life a total misery. He was a tyrant, that one teacher everyone was scared of. I would not obey his every demand and he was determined to get me under his thumb. He did some really nasty things . When in my final year he had accosted me ,screaming inches from my face ,calling me the usual names ect. I noticed one of the good teachers quietly approaching....he didn't. That is when the bullying ended. I left school 6 months later .

Story 16: Collective/Group punishment while I was in the military was almost never implemented correctly and most often implemented as a retaliatory punishment. Examples for those who may not quite understand: If everyone is required to have polished boots for standing in military formation but one person consistently has subpar boots, the person in charge can opt to punish the entire group because even though by that time it's been apparent to everyone that the one person has difficulty making their boots shine, none in the group have stepped up and helped figure out the problem and help fix it. After the punishment the person gets the help they need and two problems are solved. Boots being shined and the group working as a team. In too many cases however such punishment was meted out to the entire group when the group had absolutely no way to mitigate the outcome. Example: we recieved a 96 hour pass, everyone scattered to the winds, some going home, many of those in other states, some venturing to big cities for some fun. Everyone gets back and one member of the group had gotten arrested for driving while intoxicated in a neighboring state. The entire group was punished with basically ditch digging duty for a week, and lost the opportunity for the next leave. None in the group could have prevented the soldier from driving drunk far away from everyone in the group. However the people in charge who were embarrassed to have this on their records felt better about themselves by punishing everyone.

First year of college, I started the intro to chemistry series (3 quarters, does not cover organic chem; that was a whole other 3 quarter series). First quarter -- breezed through it, as it was literally just the same stuff from my senior year of high school. Had a really great teacher that made the class even better.
The SECOND quarter? Different teacher -- she was a super nice person, but...she had what I coined "Doctorate Syndrome". I define "Doctorate Syndrome" as a person who is so advanced in their field that, when attempting to explain anything related to their field, they gloss over VERY crucial details as they presume that the listener already has the same knowledge as they do. Example: My teacher genuinely didn't understand how we failed every question on our test about electron orbital shapes, when she hadn't even TAUGHT us about electron orbital shapes!
She wasn't even trying to be mean, she _genuinely_ didn't know how entry-level college students _didn't_ know about things she hadn't taught us yet. It was just _such_ ~basic~ knowledge, in her mind, that it was akin to meeting a college student that didn't know that 2 + 2 = 4
Of course she also taught my 3rd quarter class, too. Because _once_ wasn't enough of an experience with her, I guess

The teacher responsible for my schedule kept telling me i need extra help despite getting a top ten student award so they kept sending me to the same english class even though i had already passed it and was overqualified with my grades. we were supposed to take 3 but i got stuck in five different english classes. i literally didn’t even have to think about the questions at a certain point because i would answer the questions perfectly once then get the same ones in the fallowing class next semester. i repeatedly told them i wanted harder classes and more variety but they wouldn’t budge. on the fifth class of them explaining what a noun was i just walked out and said give me the papers i’ll finish watching the word for word movie of death of a sails man and be done the final test a month early well everyone is reading it with you. i already have enough points to graduate so i don’t care about whatever little mini test points i might miss. it was so stupid that it was word for word book to movie with an insanely accurate adaptation and we just weren’t watching it.
i just finished it with a friendly teacher watching who worked in the computer lab. i wanted to do more advanced stuff but was always bumped out despite having the proper grades due to overcrowding. sucked

The one thing my 3rd grade teacher did that ruined some of my school experience is introduce the class to Accelerated Reader. If we didn’t get a good enough score or points, we couldn’t go outside for recess nor do much of anything.

My cosmetology school does 3 different course tracks. Track 1 is the basics, track 2 is the rest of theory, and track 3 is salon floor experience. I came in with transfer hours and had to retake all of track 1, despite my protests. The teacher has proceeded to single me out and nit pick every little thing i do, almost to the detriment of the other girls (and guy) in my class. I bit my tongue for 8 weeks but on the 9th week i was so damn burned out of being singled out and bullied that while inwas working on my classwork and watching videos, she came over told me to take off my headphones. I put them on my neck and she calls me out again, so i ripped them out of the device and threw them at the trash can behind me. Since then, she has not looked me in the eye and she treats me even worse. I will be so glad in February when i get out of this place and can submit the audio recordings to the higher-ups in my exit interview. Hope she gets fired. The only people who like her are her favorite students she spoils rotten.

I’ve got one that fits this perfectly. First go note I am diagnosed as autism spectrum disorder, none otherwise specified, basically them on the autism spectrum also have nonverbal learning disabilities and didn’t officially receive my dyslexia diagnosis until I was 19 this happened when I was in sixth grade at the age of 11 because of my autism I also had what is known in the US as an individuals personal lives lesson plan, which buy US thought teachers that have a student with was Dez must is mandatory to attend the meetings for it. My Cisco teacher would never go to the meetings, but she by law was required to as my main teacher suit, harassment, and bullying me, like I didn’t have to deal with other students doing that to begin with. She just not only encouraged it and let that that one could do it, but she added onto it one day the principal was supposed to have a meeting with him her me, my mother in the superintendent at the time that had been planned ahead of time only the day of the meeting she called out sick you’re sick my dear you’re distant my face the consequences of her actions is all off, oh and the worst of it is one time when somehow they were knows toasters teachers faculty any other people besides made her around see you possibly grab me by my right wrist know I’m right handed I’m not like my brother who is the minority in the left handed off of Route headed percentage to get me by my route him possibly wrist What is a little stubby sausage fingers finger into my nose like inches away. Told me that because I’m autistic, I will never amount to anything, and I would never even ever graduate high school and then that going to shove me know I had bruises on my wrist and the principal never really took anything seriously said and then I got kicked out because I want to get rid of the least common denominator in safari and her ex filmed that student but she did that to me jokes on her, though I did graduate high school took me an extra year I did it as for not a mountain. Is it anything? Oh sure I never fully graduate college five went to college and I am now on a local panel within my state going around to different high schools in my state small state Rhode Island, so not that hard to go to any high school and the entire state but I got a different high schools in Escit talking to 11th and 12th graders says he wants with disabilities of any kind was like to be somebody with a type of dissipate in the post high school very much college is like especially for a few different disabilities. Also says they completely blind an amount wanna game blinders out so I think there’s a mountaintop quite a lot actually that’s not even going through what I do for volunteer thing every year for a local nonprofit at different prove her wrong, but still how is that for what did the teacher say that I have ever faced above?

class pet best behaved in class and got along well with the teacher to the point she was kinda a friend. one day the other kids got worked up and spilled a coffee they smuggled in within a minute. the teacher got frustrated with him because nobody listened to her warnings. well everyone was taking back and being jerks to her she was kinda taking it to far so i just did my work. the others like rattling her for fun and i just wanted to say out of it. i’m doing my work and she yells i have to listen to despite the fact i already was just well actually doing the work. i said a lecture about responsibility and respecting her had nothing to do with me because i already did and simply wanted to do my schoolwork. she yelled at me to stop and obey instead of actually dealing with the trouble makers she was taking it out on me so i simply stood up and said this has nothing to do with me i’m going to finish my work downstairs and left.
the whole class walked out because they knew she’d messed up. the principal chewed her out and we never talked again. shame because she was nice and good at her job. unfortunately so good the school sent her the worst student that didn’t want to listen to try and give them extra help.
