What a badass truck, love the way it sounds!! 👍👍👏😍💯
That sounds soooo good!!
I agree with David Schmidt, all the cars that i ever road in that ran turbos ran the blow off valve down so they would not melt anything in the engine compartment
epic piping work guys, love it
Its a bit of a surprise to me barely dabbling into the diesel world, but have been into the boost game for over a decade now. But that you guys usually dont use BOV's.. and on our race cars we usually always place the BOV by the throttle body on the charge pipping.
That's pretty insane/awesome!
JW do this to your Lml
@@TruckMaster lol trying to get this man a 2 part crankshaft? Lol 😂
My lly did the same thing when the stock y bridge blew
Nick Johnson lol
He should vent the blow off down and out of the way with its own exhaust pipe. lol
Question.... why am I getting a P0299 code after egr delete and efi live tune? Shows under boost?
Love Chanel. Y’all are the best.
Thanks
Great content bro👊👊
Thanks 🙏
Im running 50 lbs of boost on my dodge and im looking for a valve that will stay closed unless i want it to open
Great content
Thanks Aaron
Wat wire from the tps did u guys put the white wire to
Fuck yeah I need me one of those, they did my downpipes and tuner on my durmax duely at diesel pros good job boys runs great 👍
Dam, now I am thinking about redoing my truck.
Sounds Nice 👌
Were you guys buy the blow off valve?… please share full information. Tanks…
I was wondering how it was controlled since there is no throttle body on diesels. It looks like it is electronically controlled when to open. But it sounds sweet!
Guys...do you recommend this to an off-road vehicle doing water crossings?
I am thinking on putting one on my Ford obs
I started to look into a BOV today after I noticed a flutter from the turbo after letting out of the throttle. I mean it sounds cool! Tu Tu Tu Tu. But I know it’s not good haha
Why not good
@@mikaeldallaire2052 if there isn’t a blow off valve to release the pressure after you get off the throttle. The tu tu tu you hear from the turbo is a compressor surge. It’s pressure air in the intake tube going out through the tubro. It can break the compressor wheel
I just like that sound always doint it on purpose 😅 so its bad for my turbo ? If i upgrade it?
Guys, Can you do a video of how to hook up the electronic controller. I have a 2013 lml
@TruckMaster
What size injectors
Holy Sh*t!
Can this be installed on a stock truck?
lets see a video of those turbos towing heavy
Where you get your blow out valve from. I've been looking for one for the longest
Hsp diesel
Can u put this on a non diesel truck
Awesome video as always 👍that truck is a beast are you going to put compound turbos on your truck as well now?
I hope I get into that life one day
So it looked like this thing blows off while your maxing out the gas causing you to be unable to get the most from your motor. I thought it would do this only when you were decelerating
Ricers at heart....lol
A mini burnout 💨 please 🙏
Your truck is beautiful josh I love it
Thanks 🙏
I see you have 26k plus rail pressure at 21 lbs of boos. My LLY doesn’t go up passed 22 maybe 23k. Is this a tuning deal?
LLY's oem FPR cant be command more than 24k, if you swap in an LBZ FPR and get your tuning adjusted for it then you can make a little more.
Would you recommend a blow off valve for a stock lly with a straight pipe
I’d say no unless your turbo is surging due to a upgraded charger
@TruckMaster I have a lly stock turbo ( I think it's stock). But it definitely surges when letting off the throttle. Does that mean it's not stock? I thought VGTs didn't surge.
Would sound fkn siiiick if it was a manual
@Truck Master Can you do a review on the new 3.0L duramax 1500 when they hit the dealers?
I will see what I can do
Are you still running a MAF with that compound setup?
Sean Marshall yes
you shouldn’t be letting that thing open at all under load because if it opens under load like you said if creeped open at 38psi you’re releasing metered air which will thro off your fuel tables
Sean Marshall yep which is what we’re hoping to tweak at here in the next week or ao
Awesome man let me know what you come up with on that. I’m not sure how you have this setup since I haven’t played the bov game on a diesel yet but on my turbo ls it allows boost pressure on the vacuum side under load that supplies enough pressure to keep it closed but also assist in opening it when you let out and start building vacuum again
@@spmarshall18 hi can you shed some light upon the problem im facing with turbo diesel. When i bash it hard in high rpms it starts to give severe turbo lag and almost no torque in low rpms
Found found this vid You guys are diesel mechanics? Was lookin at a lb7 but dont know many mechanics who could check it out
👍🏻
Nice cover pic👍
Wesley Madsen Thank
I thought RBM lived out of state?

Wesley Madsen things clean man, if I wasn’t in Minnesota I’d snag that
@@AlexKloehn fly down and look. If you want it ill trailer or drive it to ya...dont ya know
He has studs right?
Yes
Honestly it's all dumb for a daily driver but it's all in what you like
👍
See a Cummins can take the boost. No blowoff needed 🙈😂😂😂
Dixie Mae rest of the truck is garbage though.
The turbo won’t like it if you constantly surge it.
Just my opinion. Cummins/Lack-of-strokes and Dmax’s rvkinda getting to be old and the same old content. Y not step out of the box and get a mid to late 90’s Chevy/gmc with a 6.5 Detroit and build a torque monster. Would be nice to see with all your contacts in the diesel world in what you can do with something different.
If I made a ton of money I most certainly will
Lololol. Diesel engine with vacuum.
You should easily get 50psi 35-38 sucks
Throw carbon fiber under hood :)
VTR Vectored Thrust Racing that’s a pretty good idea 🤔
👍
Www.timmcamis.com sells it by the sheet. At a minimum, you could run a patch where the bov releases pressure? Regardless, great job on the dmax builds guys! @rustbeltmechanic @truckmaster
That longbox ruined the video for me
First
Thanks 👍
@@TruckMaster plenty of air and fuel not enough fire you guys keep it up will scatter bottom end been there done that
I love looking at the duramax cover photos people have on CZcams.👍♨️😎
Blow off valves are not needed on diesels i have two buddys with twin turbo trucks and neither of them have one. Its just another ricer mod. I swear diesel guys now days are as bad or worse than like janky ass honda guys. Gives us all a bad wrap. Huge wheels rubber band tires, 9 inch exhaust, 10 inch lifts, 30 dumbass stickers, blowing smoke everywhere, tattered american flags, 50 cal lug nuts and stereo antennas lmao. So cringe worthy. Same dudes in tight jeans and a tight fitting affliction shirt with white sunglasses lol. Stop.
I highly disagree with this statement. I am retired military, fought two wars and came home alive. I can modify and drive whatever I feel like. Big thanks to our service members past and present that secure our freedoms, if I feel the need to install two turbos on my diesel then so be it. If you see a Soldier be sure to shake his hand and say thanks 🇺🇸
If you don’t like it, don’t watch it! 🤷🏻♀️👍👋🏼
this guy is obviously so uneducated about how turbos work. It IS needed because that excess boost has nowhere to go when you let off the throttle quick. It surges and that is how you tear up compressor wheels and snap turbine shafts. I just uploaded a video of mine without a blow off valve and you can hear how hard it is when it surges/barks.
Lmao put two turbos on idgaf. Were talking about bovs which have absolutely no benefit. Look how many factory super charged and turbo cars dont have them..... Hmm i wonder why lmao. Yall some clowns. Keep ricing out your clapped out beater diesels though.
Nickat1ne707 boy because those stock factory turbos don’t push enough boost to even need. You’re just fuckin unintelligent and need to off yourself. Mr I fuckin know everything about anything
