i go to my interstate fair yearly. it is huge, probably well over 50 rides and the rest is either car shows, petting zoos or food stands. also a concert area and animal shows. and for my entire family (6 of us) its only 200 dollars for the whole day (food+ 1 dollar rides+games)
There's a fair going on this week in my town and even though there's not many rides or anything, it still looks/ is probably more fun than the ace fest💀

And you get way much more for your money in Disneyland (I have never been to Coachella, but assume it applies to Coachella as well). When I went to Disneyland I literally spent the whole day there, I only went when they closed that day, I didn't want to leave there was so much more left I hadn't seen. But when it comes to their sad "festival", I would have left within an hour.

The FAIR in my state is Free to get in, $$ for rides, games, food and to watch demolition durby. They also set up booths selling items. That's why it's free to walk in and just walk around check out booths. Ace scam!

im in third rate country and the fest looks like what my school festival is, if you didn't count the rides.
Dare I say my festival is far more fun, the foods are cheap, lot of portions, with variety of all cultures from east asian foods, southeast asians, south, west asians etc.
We even have cute cheap merchs being sold.

There was a carnival down the street from me just a couple weeks ago. Food trucks, musical acts, petting zoo, games, rides, all free. You just had to buy tickets for the rides. 22 tickets for 20 bucks.
I'm in America, Michigan to be exact, and most fairs are free to get into. You get either tickets or an all day ride wristband for the rides and pay seperately for games and food. This was a huge scam. Plus the parking wasn't free, plus no performers etc etc

the fair in my town is $5 entry fee, $1 per ticket (rides are no more then 10 tickets) or you can get a RAD pass (ride all day) for $50 and you get full access to every ride, game, the petting zoo, the farmers market, the rodeo and a concert.

I think our local fair with all day unlimited rides was like less than $100 for 4 people with multiple barns of animals to pet, live music, demolition derby, tractor/ horse pulls and antique car shows included.... And a bunch of 4H buildings full of exhibits

I’ll be honest Markie, I’m a spiritual person. I believe in all that wacky shit, and I’m up for jokes about it as long as people can respect one another’s views. But there’s also SO many, like this family, who use spirituality to manipulate, scam and appear as decent people (like the whole light business). That’s the vibe I’m getting. And it’s really scummy, esp towards vulnerable people in need of guidance or direction in life, like children ;; It feels really creepy how they still play the good guy despite concrete and heavy evidence against them. I’m all for forgiveness in set conditions but they haven’t changed and are unwilling to. The sooner they’re out of the limelight and having to actually work for their doe ray me, the better.
But yeah! Just wanted to add that there’s folks that genuinely practice spirituality, but I’ve noticed a SHITTON of people using it to strip the vulnerable of money. It’s a common scamming technique and it’s vile. It’s always best to be on alert for it!

We have an annual fair in town that is no smaller than 12 blocks, probably bigger, I've never walked through the entire thing) and it's free to get in, there free kids activities and live music then you pay for food, games and rides once you get in. There is free water stations throughout.
When they do these stupid events/press conferences why don't they just rent one of those party rooms at a community centre and decorate it vs spending all this money on an empty stadium with deafening silence?? Like bro it doesn't make you look good
