    ABOUT THIS GAME
    In the space-colony simulation game Oxygen Not Included you'll find that scarcities of oxygen, warmth and sustenance are constant threats to your colony's survival. Guide colonists through the perils of subterranean asteroid living and watch as their population grows until they're not simply surviving, but thriving...
    Just make sure you don't forget to breathe.
    Build Extensive Bases and Discover What it Takes to Survive:
    Everything in your space colony is under your control, from excavation and resource allocation right down to plumbing and power systems. Resources will begin depleting with your first breath, however, so be sure to dig fast if you want to live.
    It's Mind Over Matter with Stress Simulations:
    Keep the psychological impact of survival at bay with fun leisure activities, great accommodations and even better food for your colony. Duplicants each have different and potentially destructive ways of reacting to stress, so be sure to always keep them happy. Whatever the cost.
    Avoid Boiling with Thermodynamics:
    Temperature control is a constant concern in space; too cold and you'll freeze, too hot and you'll fry. Keep tabs on ambient environmental temperatures and your colony's heat production to maintain a nice, cozy atmosphere for your colonists.
    Enhance Efficiency through Complex Gas and Liquid Simulations:
    Create interlocking pipe systems to swiftly deliver fuel and liquid to critical areas of your base. Plan well and be rewarded as your colony transforms into an imperishable, well-oiled machine.
    Take Charge with Power Grid Simulations:
    Choose from a multitude of power sources including coal, hydrogen, natural gas or just plain old elbow grease. Manage power runoff, circuit overloads and meltdowns to keep your colony running smoothly.
    Always Keep Yourself Breathing:
    Enter the Oxygen Overlay and watch air moving through your base in real time. Monitor carbon dioxide accumulation and oversee oxygen generation processes to mold your colony into a veritable deep-space oasis.
    Waste Nothing through Extreme Recycling:
    Make use of every last resource for a base that truly exemplifies efficiency. Recycle waste into precious fuel, process unbreathable gas into air or harness the natural processes of wild creatures for food. If you're clever, you might even be able to run a base off colonist farts.
    Explore Diverse, Procedurally Generated New Worlds:
    Summon new worlds with a push of a button. Experience tons of untamed space rocks, then suffocate in them!

    Oh and from your discovery of the Gassy Moo planet in the last video; you could set up a Gassy Moo ranch to get the milk (brackene) from them and have that as an option on the menu for the hotel guests. Set the water coolers to accept brackene instead of water.

    With the new update and the added buildings that pertain to food: the hydrator and rehydrator. You could set up a small factory on your main planet to prepare all the food for the hotel by having it hydrated. Then you can ship all the hydrated food over by any means and store it in any kind of container. Then you could have it automated on the Hotel side to rehydrate the required food based on demands. You have plenty of water on the hotel planet to easily do this!

    12:00 you remebered correctly; the hot tub needs to be less than 37.7°C, while the water inside it needs to be at least 37.7°C, so if you built it out of some ore it wont be cooled down fast enough.
    A freindly reminder that the bleachstone hopper is a thing (but i do love puft farms)
    The canister filler is really annoying because dupes wont empty it out on their own, you have to manually give them the empty command. i cant remeber if the soda fountain has an 'auto-bottle' option like the canister emptier. So basicly, I wont judge you if you choose to use the mod that gives the soda fountain a gas input

    Interesting idea for the Hotel. haha. I have not tried any specific goal ideas, still just working through the goal of surviving and reaching all planetoids.

    You should have built the second thought you had, have the piping to the sauna continue past it and have it return to the steam room. This way its contantly flowing and not just sitting in the pipes colling down. Once the pipes are hot enough, it will be fine.

    Ugh. As you have seen, the meters are really finicky. As long as the meter is receiving a green signal, the amount of liquid that goes through it doesn’t “count.” So, if your timer has too long of a green signal, extra fluid gets in. What you need is a pulse; I played with the meter valve when it first got introduced, but I never got it down to exact science how much time needs to pass for 1 packet to go through the pipes. I will say this, though: if you’re ever lost about how much fluid is seeping through when using a different type of automation, you can monitor the meter’s output on the same popup in which you set the meter’s amount.
    I hope I’m making sense, I feel like I’m not doing a good job of explaining what’s going on :x.
    EDIT: there’s actually a mod that has rising and falling edge detectors that I use for this very occasion. If you’re using any other automation besides the timer, it’s incredibly useful. I honestly don’t know why it isn’t included in the vanilla game. The mod is: “Edge Detectors and Diode (Automation)”

    I have two suggestions: First, you could send any residual gaseous water back (steam) to the aquatuner room to be reheated via radiant pipes
    Second, you should automate the fridges by having the hotel fridge send a signal when it's not full, and have an autosweeper take food from the master fridge to the hotel (if youre worried about decor, run the belts through the walls, and encase the autosweeper reach the fridge diagonally through the tiles (in a way that decor can't flow through, i dont' think i have to check), for example like

    You could put a weight sensor under the tile of interest on the sauna to determine when a dupe uses the sauna.

    Pets! This hotel needs some long-haired slicksters
    (IMO the rooms would look much nicer if they had a little more distinction, like different wallpaper and pots… "the executive suite, the honeymoon suite, …" etc)

      I think the cuddle pips would also be a good addition! Then, it can be more accurately a petting zoo, y’know? It also offers a buff. I’d probably put them separate from the slicksters tho. And try rly hard not to domesticate the guys. Don’t want too many flooding the base.

    5:48 - can you use a motion sensor, then if it picks up a duplicate for say 10 seconds, send another batch of steam?
