"Where's your faith, Father?"
"It's in the car, I'm going to get it"
😂😂😂
His "faith" must be in the form of a .357 Magnum! (Or, at least in the form of a 9 MM)!!! After hearing that girl make fun of his Mama, he probably felt like shooting her! When she said what she did 'bout his Mama, he was all like "Man... don't NOBODY talk about my Mama!!!!!
Ronald Shank 💀😂😂😂
Too bad Saturday Night Live sucks now compared to these ones. Sad. They have too much political bullshit in them. I love the days may be picked on everybody and not just certain ones. Lol.
@@charlesott8216 Just shut up and enjoy the skit, crybaby.
On the floor first time I watched this 😂😂😂.Richard Pryor Absolutely genius..Now have this on my phone!! 😂😂
Pryor: A comedic genius. The guy was the gold stanard of improv, delivery-facial expression and timing. Peace to all. Have a better day than your last.
Thank you, Ed!! Most appreciated. You and yours have a magnificent day as well!
Ed Brown .....very well said
@X X , I concur
Eddie way Better...
he likes young girls...he even said it himself. y’all gas up the most disgusting people. fuck all y’all for thinking this.
When Richard Pryor's whole demeanor changed when she said something about his mama had me in real tears.😂😂😂😂
Immediately reminded me of the opening to Menace II Society. "WHAT YOU SAY ABOUT MY MAMA?"
Yep
😂😂😂😂
@@eldesgraciado6690 yes 😂
Yep, the universal response when mentioning a black man’s mama
I like Richard Pryor kept saying, "The bed is on my foot." I also like Laraine Newman saying to Richard, "Your mama eats kitty litter." Richard replies, "Say what?" Laraine finally replies, "I said your mama eats kitty litter." It is almost fifty years old, and this skit is still funny and comedy gold. RIP Richard, you are sorely missed.
Thanks for reminding me of what I literally just watched
This was arguably the scariest movie ever made, but after you this sit and see the movie it becomes a comedy. A testament to the comedic genius of Richard Pryor.
😇GVB❤
The Music Is Still Catchy Now As It Was Than Almost 50 years Later 2024
So sad that today comedy is under the control of the left. The political police have shut it all down! Thanks for voting for these dumb asses! Thanks for nothing!
The moment she broke the "yo momma" insults, all bets are off. 🤣🤣🤣
2 universal truths:
1) Never kill John Wick's dog.
2) Never talk about a black man's mama.
Trollface Killa
He went apeshit about a dog
Your mother eats kitty litter!!!!!
Say what!?
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Trollface Killa amen 🙏 to that
Facts
R.I.P to the iconic Richard Pryor. He was a comedic genius. His performance in this SNL sketch was extremely funny. It is pure comedy gold.
And Thalmus too
Richard Pryor always great but props to actor Thalmus Rasulala, who had a great career and especially in the 70s was all over movies and television, doing both comedies and drama. One role he played great was as Raj and Dee's dad in "What's Happening."
"Don't NOBODY talk about my MAMA!" Hilarious! X)
"The bed is on my foot! Oh Father, the bed is on my foot!!!" 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣
I still remember this from 1975...I was 15! The Exorcist was such a hit, ripe for parody. So funny, Pryor ruled.
Epic 🤣😂🤣😂
saw it when I was a kid... couldn't breath I was laughing so hard!
Did Mel Brooks use this in the scene from Young Frankenstein with the "revolving bookcase". "Put ze kandel bek!"
This happened 10 years before I was born and it’s still funny.
Pryor is “funny” personified. He had everything. The material, the delivery, the physical comedy, and the insight. Nobody will ever come close to his talent and presence. RIP.
And a great actor!
Watched it 3x in a row. Haven't belly laughed like that in years. SNL writers and performers were creating comedic art back then. When SNL first aired no matter where I was on a Saturday night I always made it home in time to grab a snack, roll a joint and turn on the TV. I was 17 then. I'm 68 now. The only thing that's changed is the quality of SNL. Joints and snacks remain. ☺
The math is not matching.. how were you 17 in 1975 and now you’re 68? Hmm 🤔

I am 57 years old and remember seeing this episode in high school. Sheer brilliance. I'm still laughing!
I remember this, too! I'm 57 y.o. and used to watch SNL with my sister and a couple of her friends every Saturday night.
How the hell can you not.laugh at it
I watched this SNL skit live also many years ago.
Without question Richard Pryor was the most genius situational, and stand-up comedy talent.
No one has matched his excellence before and since.
57? Stop lying Michelle out here looking better than most 30 year olds!! I’m 34 and I’d take you out on a date right now.
Ditto! We were saying 'the bed is on my foot' for weeks in school. Good times
Richard Pryor still makes me laugh my ass off.
His SNL appearances were some of the best comedy moments
He just had it. Had it every time.
He did have and I havent seen it since then, RIP Mr Pryor we all miss your comedic genius.
@Scott And the Sasquatch
He was hilarious... And whenever I need a good laugh, I spin one of his old records.
Almost sixty years since he started out on the scene... And those old albums are absolutely some of the funniest material ever recorded.
Cheers
We lost him all too soon. @@JamesSmith-ym1fc

If you were born in 1977-2000 those were the days when everything was jumping and everything was alive and great and Yes Gene Wilder & Richard Pryor made us laugh and they were both legends... Richard Pryor was in Superman 3 he played Gus and he got to fly with Christoper Reeve who is also dead. Hands down one of the funniest skits in SNL history, the entire Richard Pryor episode is hall of fame worthy.
Seriously...my vote for best SNL episode ever.
God I loved Richard Pryor
Pretty much everything Pryor did should be dipped in gold.

Comedy sketch, yes, but Lorraine Newman freaked me out when I first saw this.

Glad I wasnt only one. She freaked me out too.

Best part was Pryor's sudden change in demeanor when she made the mama joke lol.
He chocked her out tho lol
You gotta love the fade.
I love how she grabs his hand so he could almost certainly face sudden DEATH ☠️.

2021 and still cracks me up. Richard Pryor is just a comic legend. So happy we can still look back and watch classic comedy like this . 😂🤣
2023 and nothing changed!🙂
That shit was funny as hell, I laugh just as hard as I did when I first seen it when I was 15. Richard was exceptionally funny. I miss his humor so much.

Demon or not.. nobody talks about a black person mama 😂😂😂
This skit will never get old hilarious 😂
Even in a comedy skit... "The Exorcist " piano music is STILL creepy as Hell. I get goose bumps every time I hear it. I was 10 then (1973) and 58 today. In 2023 it will be 50 years old. It a Hall of Fame horror movie. Friends and family STILL discuss it with me after all these years.

"Your Mama eats Kitty Litter"😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
One of the best SNL skits ever that originated from Pryor's standup act he did about the movie the Exorcist. Both very funny.
They don't make comedy like this anymore!!!
Richard Pryor was crazy, and I loved it!!!
I don't think they make comedy anymore. I haven't seen anything that comes close to comedy in YEARS!
Pryor was a great comedian.
Topps !
Pryor was a comic GOD. Up there with Carlin and Bruce.
PLANXRQ doh also loved to sleep with men 👍🏽
He still is he's hanging with elvis at McDonald's man
HE WAS AND IS THE BEST!!!!!
I'm 50 years old and Richard Pryor is still my all-time favorite comedian.
"What did you say, little girl?" He said it all cool, but you KNOW he was going to attack as soon as she said it again!😂
1975 skits are still better than modern 2019 skits.
No lie
For real all the new ones do today make trump jokes all the time, I swear if they couldn’t make jokes about trump the show would be cancelled
Truth INDEED
The new cast sucks
Anything is better than the 2019 skits.
With the legend himself, Richard Pryor!

Richard Pryor and Paul Mooney wrote all of the skits Pryor was involed in.

I am 55 years old and this guy just bugs me out every time I listen to him, Richard Pryor. The epitome of comedy (@ it's best). Salute!!!!!
I remember being like 8 at my grandma's house and listening to old cassettes of Pryor from the 70's that belonged to my aunt. I wasn't even 10 yet but his routine about putting cocaine on your dick was the funniest thing I'd ever heard, even though I didn't really know what cocaine was.

Animal House i never watched it. I only remember the first movie. What happened?
Greyson Antonio Beato The Evil Spirit goes after the girl from part one....AGAIN.
Trivia: Richard Pryor improvised and then milked the bed on his foot until they lifted the bed off his foot. That was the genius of Richard Pryor. To be able to improvise something that works so well and then make everyone work around him.
Absolutely right if anyone noticed the first time he said it the other guy actually looks to see it the bed was really on his foot. Realized it wasn’t and just went right along with it.
@Cindi Thomas , yep yep
JT Michaelson this man is still the king 🤴🏿 of comedy nobody but Dave Chappell comes close to not having to say a thing and still be funnier than everybody else!
Classic.funny as hell
Doubtful. They lift the bed up later and Larraine Newman apologizes. Clearly written into the sketch.

Awesome Sooo Funny You never Talk About Any ones Mama Black or White it don't Matter CTG
That’s a little harsh
Especially when she throws the pea soup in his face, and then, looking him straight in the eyes, says "SUCKER"!!! Man, that was hilarious! Then, after offering him a rose, she breaks the vase over his head, and says "JIVE TURKEY"!!! He's still patient with her...until she makes the mistake of talking about his Mama. Oops!!! He looks down on her, and says "Say what"? I mean, he loses all his fear, right then & there! When she's stupid enough to repeat the insult, it's on! He's all over her like white on rice! Then the other Priest stops him...until she turns out to be too stupid to keep her yap shut! She insults him too-twice! Then they BOTH jump on her, strangling her!!! The morale of the story is:If you're gonna talk about a Black Man's Mama, be prepared to get yo butt strangled!!!
Sukerrrrrr
“The Bed must be on the Floor...The Bed must be on the Floor...The Bed must be on the Floor..”
(Thud)
“The Bed is on My Foot...The Bed is on My Foot...The Bed is on My Foot!”
“I must rest..”
“You MUST REST?! THE BED IS ON MY FOOT!!!”
I'll laugh at this forever. Never gets old. Like Jon Lovitz and his devil.
Are you referencing Jon lovitz in Little Nicky?
The best SNL..ever! These people made it happen...
Jive Turkey is a timeless insult lol.
Sucks that the real Exorcist 2 wasn't like this.
As far as I'm concerned, this IS the real Exorcist 2.
I mean it was funny, just for all the wrong reasons.
Compared to all the stupid exorcism movies of the past 15 years, The Exorcist 2 really isn't all that bad. It at least has a fantastic musical soundtrack. Even several of the original reviews back then mentioned that.
We all could live to be 1 Millon years old and will NEVER have another Richard Pryor
Many times I binge watch many of SNL's sketched.
Richard Pryor single handedly took away my fear of that movie. I was always thankful to him for that.
45 years later still one of the funniest SNL sketches ever
Every time somebody tells me they need to rest, Pryor's delivery of "You must REST?!" pops into my mind.
This skit is up there with Chevy and Richard's 'Word Association' 🤣
