The dude just walks in and just instantly takes over the ENTIRE room, scene, and atmosphere. He was a force of nature, man.
Absolutely. Farley was amazing! Miss him immensely.
A legend
Cocaine definitely helped
Thought it was a fat joke
One thing about him, he wasn’t about to be told he couldn’t do it. I hope he’s resting peacefully.
As soon as Foley goes into his character you see Sandler, Spade and Schneider can't help but laugh hahahaha Chris Farley lives for eternity :)
also jay mahr or w.e his name is from small soldiers and polly lol i love how he gets them all to laugh
They barely laughed this sketch because it wasn’t funny
@@Jealod24 I agree, a lot of yelling and no substance plus a lame and predictable punch line.
He introduced him by his real name 😂🤣

The best part is watching Sandler try not to laugh at Farley. You can tell they had a great friendship for sure.
Chris Farley was a legend, he could make the greatest comedian laugh and get out of character. It's sad his life ended so soon.
That was my favourite part. I love seeing Chris crack up his friends. And they all did. On a side note Tim Burton should have some type of award for the one comedian who barely ever laughed to break character. You could have Christopher walkings free styling im his face and he would stay dead pan in character lol
thats 100%
CF had to improv to get AS straight.. " hang on to your sense of humor young fella"
Sandler laughs at everything
everybody in the room is laughing their asses off and can't hold back. FARLEY WAS COMEDY GENIUS.
“I had it all: van, river, the whole kit and kaboodle” LOL 😂

Now all I got is a cot, a toilet, and a homemade tattoo of A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!!!!!!

2:40 Watching the entire cast start to grin uncontrollably while they watch Farley is so adorable, as is Chris absolutely trying to make them break by kicking off his big speech with intense eye contact and some kind of Tai Chi? lmao he even cracks himself up.
Sandler is grinning the whole time. 😂

I miss this dude so much.
He had so much talent .
Me too. I wonder whatever happened to Martin Lawrence
When Chris walked in a room, NO ONE could keep a straight face. Man was a comedic genius.
rj zander you run a meme page that has 10 followers don’t you
@Julian Guardiola Millenials are totally old enough to see these shows while in their prime. I vividly remember watching Farley -- guess genX and boomers are too fuckin' stupid to use a calendar or google.
You know someone is funny if they can just walk in the room anywhere anytime and everyone laughs just because his presence and laughs at everything he says. I can’t think of anyone else like Mr. Farley. He was an amazing talent.
zander dude was a fucking legend!! Have some respect
rj zander Motherfucker was hilarious in Billy Madison and he doesn’t do a single fat joke or even in your own words “accentuate his fatness”.
He knew physical comedy; and could do it regardless of his weight. Anyone who thinks physical comedy is easy is right to a large extent. Anyone who thinks the greats of physical comedy had nothing special are ignorant. The fact that anyone can do physical comedy means you have to have something special to be renowned for it.
The moment farley enters, sandler cant stop smiling ^^
I noticed that also.
Same with Jay Mohr on the far left and Rob Schneider was just sitting there smiling away. Don't blame them though. It's VERY hard to try and not laugh at Chris Farley, especially when he's Matt Foley.
......neither can I....!
😔
Every skit they were in together Sandler couldn’t keep a straight face
I like how Chris’s shirt magically became all sweaty at 5:55. 😂
They shoot two times. Something must have gone wrong during the chair scene and they used that take instead.
They probably film the rehearsals and what's archived is the best edit.
This skit is so great in so many ways! I love that Martin Lawrence gave Chris Farley ( Matt Foley) such def comedy jam intro. There's a genuine respect for each other's talents. This is legendary. Two comedy greats in their element and at their prime all happening in the 90s. What an era! This should have had way more laughs and applause than it did.
Apparently the audience didn't like Martin's monologue. He told a pretty crass joke about women and another one that was offensive but I can't remember what it was about. After that the audience didn't laugh during his skits that much. He was banned from the show after this episode til last year I believe.
Thing is, everyone was laughing about a woman castrating a man and his member being thrown on ice.
Talking about female hygiene, though, is a “bridge too far”.
@@77Creation The nasty trash females "need to wash their stuff". 😂
@@chrissjoy He wasn't banned from the show, it was NBC who made the decision. Then after reviewing the monologue in it's entirety, they issued Martin Lawrence an apology letter. The joke he told was pretty typical of the Def Comedy Jam era. It was about fellatio, not women in general.
Martin over-reacted this like crazy. It was annoying and selfish and was just bad for entertainment.
He had it all.... van.... river, the whole kit and kaboodle..
I think its kit and kaboodle
They should of wrote it as van, river, and government cheese.

Nelson Robert Willis Well la di freaking da. You must be the smart one around here. Do you know what happens to the “smart” ones in prison? Let’s just say they wish they were living in a van down by the river.
Rip to Farley and also Phil Hartman . Both SNL legends.
Talk about bitches... Phils ex-wife should be in jail.
Poor Chris and poor Phil. RIP, buddies.
Yes they were both comic geniuses but Farley as one of kind.
I know and how Phil Hartman died was so tragic. Chris's death of course was tragic as well but Phil being murdered by his wife is just crazy. To complete and utter gifts Humanity they were taken so young. Who knows what more great body of work they could have left us with more laughter and joy that this dark world needs now more than ever.

At least 8 comedy legends in one skit! Straight up OG's! Sounds like a good time to me!
I love how Chris Farley momentarily breaks character at 3:02 when he looks over at Adam Sandler who's laughing the entire time
He made some odd bird sound too just to crack up Sandler if you listen close
Well spotted
That was the best part of Farley.. he managed to get everyone to crack up and laugh.. really miss him
He was barely laughing unless it was part of his character
They were buds. They fed each others characters well.
Sandler always cracks when he's around Farley! Love it!
They feed off each other, one will get it going then the other will just play along 😂
When he bust in I think everyone laughed at least a little.
He should have stopped playing in a van down by the river skit after the first one. After that they werent funny.
U know ur right. Otherwise Sandler doesn't.

I love how it cuts to the dress rehearsal version where he's sweating drips lol... I wish they'd release the entire version of that dress rehearsal scene, where the whole cast are just crying with laughter and can't hold it together.
Did anyone else hear him do that “brrr” sound when he called Adam pretty, that made me bust out laughing, truly a legend man RIP

I wonder what happened during the scene because Chris goes from a dry shirt to a wet ass shirt after the camera is obviously cut lol.
Jim Carey is pretty good, too. No disrespect to Chris Farley, but I wouldn't say he had "unmatched comedic skill". It's your opinion, but I disagree.
That is absolute raw talent. You can see it on every face as soon as Chris begins talking and takes Martin's spot every single actor is thinking, fuuuck don't break don't break don't break!
All of the entire cast just immediately smiling as Farley walks in and starts talking speaks to how amazing this man was.

Was this from Martin Lawrences’ banned episode. Either that or he was banned for life for cursing too much when he hosted back in the mid 90s. This had to be a supplemental sketch. Very cool to see it. Again?
They had banned the whole episode but looks like they decided to open Pandora box and show a few scenes. It was mainly his opening monologue that got him banned anyway. But these scenes don't look funny anyway
Love how Farley's shirt sweat just magically appears!
Yeh looks like they made a cut there, wonder what we missed.
Was about to comment on that. Now I’m looking for what was cut. But I’m thinking they spliced this with their dress rehearsal because of something Lawrence said or did in the live performance. Not sure which part was live though.
@@unclecreepy7025 I think you must be right. Def must of spliced it from rehearsal.
I'm guessing the wall didn't break very well when they did it live, and so they spliced in rehearsal footage. I didn't know that was something they did for reruns.
The wall not breaking right doesn’t sound controversial lol. SNL usually will censor the show for the West Coast since they don’t watch the show live. They also remove certain controversial parts. After the original airing, Sinéad O’Conner’s Pope incident was replaced with her dress rehearsal performance.
