Great song from their debut album... Geddys voice is sooo perfect and soulful, the drummer is John Rutsey who later was replaced by the Professor, Neil Peart RIP.. Alex"s guitar playing is awesome !! Cheers sir.. Thanks for reacting to one of the greatest bands in history!
Great job, Zew!! This was their 1st album release with John Rutsy on drums!! A lot of their sound on this album reflects their teenage fan-boy! That says a lot of their influence from Zep , Yes, Tull, Who!! Rutsy was suppose to write the lyrics for this album, he got mad cause he wasn’t likin it and tore them all up a day or two before the had to record, so Geddy stayed up and wrote all the lyrics to this album in just days! Be well and God bless... from Texas!
They weren't called Led Zeppelin Jr. when this Debut album was released in 1974 for nothing. They expanded drastically on the next album after Neil Peart joined.
you should ckeck out their concert from the early 70's in a high shcool.. Rush concert Laura second high school St. Catherine's it's on CZcams Rutsy the original drummer .
this was their first album and personally I think that they were under a lot of pressure to sound like Zeppelin because that was the big sound of the time thankfully in time they pushed back and were allowed to be themselves.

When did America celebrate its 200th anniversary? Well it was two years after this album came out. Please put this in perspective in 2021.
